Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1827: Chapter 1829: Not Planning to Take Revenge Anymore?

After arguing with Mother Qi, Father Qi secretly observed his grandson. No matter how he looked at him, he didn’t find his grandson particularly odd. He seemed no different from other kids, and the occasional display of cleverness was quite normal. Clearly, he’s just precocious!

It’s just the old woman being paranoid, saying the child is strange. Her son and daughter-in-law are such smart people; it’s no surprise that their child is bright.

What he didn’t realize is that Qi Xiaoqi was so ’clever’ precisely because he behaved in such a reassuring way.

Mother Qi was very upset and also observed secretly. She no longer found anything unusual about Qi Xiaoqi, but discovered that her grandson was even more resistant to her.

Mother Qi was vexed about her grandson’s resistance, but she had no solution at all. She kept thinking, ”No child behaves like this; this child is definitely a bit strange.”

But as someone difficult to get along with, nobody likes to accommodate Mother Qi. Cheng Su was annoyed that she would say anything in front of the child. Besides calling him to meals, she rarely spoke to her, but she would talk more with her father-in-law. This made Mother Qi seem even more out of place and awkward in the family.

Father Qi’s arrival gave Cheng Su a lot of relief. She didn’t have to be tied up with Qi Xiaoqi every day and could leave him in Father Qi’s care while she got things done.

In terms of studies, since it was the final year, Cheng Su had already signed up for an internship, which was relatively loose, and just required occasional check-ins. Therefore, she focused her efforts on the southward migration of the main businesses of Joy Soon Loy Jam.

Currently, in the jam business sector, since Ning Ge was only a shareholder, all the decision-making power was delegated to Cheng Su. He himself started a new business, while the other shareholder, Cheng Yaozu, was in charge of the operations in Guangcheng. Therefore, the affairs in Qing City could only be managed by Cheng Su alone.

With the business moving southward, the operations in Qing City were not being withdrawn, which meant there had to be two factories, one in the north and one in the south. Cheng Su spent these recent days in meetings with Xiao Pinshan and others at the factory to figure out how to distribute tasks and personnel.

Time passed quietly, and when the red leaves turned deep crimson, it announced the arrival of autumn. The daylight hours also began to shorten.

In the Capital, Ning Ge welcomed Jiang Dafang, who had made a full recovery.

After suffering a major injury, Jiang Dafang appeared more frail than before, but there was a newfound calm and determination in his eyes. When he saw Ning Ge, he gave a grateful smile.

He was grateful for his help during his crisis, which preserved the company and saved his life, which was why he had to make this trip.

Ning Ge looked him over, noticing that although he was thinner, his spirits seemed good, so he smiled and said, ”It seems you’ve fully recovered? Not bad.”

”For the past few months, I’ve been like a pig, eating and sleeping all the time. To not recover well would indeed be an injustice to the peace I’ve enjoyed!” Jiang Dafang said with a frank smile.

”Oh, peaceful?” Ning Ge raised an eyebrow.

Jiang Dafang smiled gently, ”Indeed, peaceful. Although these months were for recovery, I felt an unprecedented peace, without scheming, without intrigue, and without hatred.”

Hearing this, Ning Ge said, ”You sound like you’ve gained some clarity. Could it be that having a brush with the Ghost Gate has led to such enlightenment?”

”You could say that. Now, for me, the most important thing isn’t anything in particular, but being with my wife and children, being together as a whole family. As for hatred or anger, it’s all in the past!” Jiang Dafang said calmly.

Ning Ge narrowed his eyes and asked, ”Chiang Qing nearly killed you, and you don’t hate him? You don’t plan on seeking revenge?”
