Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1834: Chapter 1836: No Loyalty, No Righteousness

”It wasn’t them.” Chiang Qing shook her head and said, ”It was Shen Rong, he doesn’t want me to give birth.”

”How could that be? A man like him loves controlling everything, and with such wealth, he would want more sons, wouldn’t he?” Chiang Tian clearly didn’t believe it.

Chiang Qing sneered, ”You’d have to ask him that, why it’s specifically me, or maybe, in his heart, I’m just a plaything!”

”That’s unlikely. If that were the case, why would he go to the trouble of giving you a title, he could just keep you somewhere, give you some money, and not have to worry about splitting the inheritance!” Chiang Tian scoffed. Men, especially wealthy ones, can easily keep dozens of mistresses, so why bother giving a title that involves inheritance? Isn’t that foolish?

Yeah, what’s really going on in his mind?

Chiang Qing realized she couldn’t see through Shen Rong’s thoughts at all, didn’t know what he was thinking.

If he treats her as a plaything, why give a title, but then why meticulously prevent her from having children?

Making her think that her body was the problem for not conceiving, only to find out it was human manipulation, it’s truly ridiculous!

Chiang Tian looked at Chiang Qing’s somewhat crazed expression, a flash in his mind, and tentatively said, ”Sis, could it be because of...” He pointed to his head, and said, ”Because of your previous illness? So, he doesn’t want to have children.”

Chiang Qing froze, her face suddenly pale, staring intensely at her little brother.

Chiang Tian felt a bit scared to look at her eyes, avoided them, and vaguely said, ”Isn’t there a saying about heredity? Shen Rong is cunning, and their family is such a large clan, they probably don’t want a... child who might have that illness.”

In his mind, he added, if the other person had a hereditary disease, he wouldn’t want them either. What if the next generation inherited it? Let alone, this is a mental illness.

Gotta say, Chiang Tian hit the nail on the head, that’s actually the truth!

”Stop talking!” But Chiang Qing couldn’t accept this explanation, almost biting her gums to pieces.

Chiang Tian awkwardly sat down and said, ”Sis, what are you going to do then?”

”I need a child!” Chiang Qing was very persistent, saying, ”You’ve seen it, everything he gives me is limited now, all because I don’t have a child. Only with a child can I get more.”

Only with money can you do whatever you want!

This is the truth!

”But he’s guarding against you...” Chiang Tian reminded.

”That’s why I’ve come to find you.” Chiang Qing gritted her teeth and said, ”He’s guarding against me because he doesn’t trust me, doesn’t treat me as his wife. Since he sees me as a plaything, I don’t want to be courteous or sentimental with him.”

No matter that he saved her from calamity, if he isn’t kind, she won’t be righteous, if she doesn’t fare well, no one should!

”Sis, don’t do anything silly. It’s hard for us to find some stability now, mom will be out next year, you...” Chiang Tian looked at his increasingly deranged older sister, his voice trembling.

Their family had already collapsed, without any backing or power, and now Shen Rong provided some support, he didn’t want to live the life of a penniless young man, didn’t want to live under others’ judgment.

The current situation may not be great, but it’s much better than before, as long as they stay on track, they don’t have to worry about things going wrong, but if his older sister does something foolish and messes up this good hand, then they’d truly become stuck in the mud!

Chiang Tian’s mind raced as he thought about how to calm down his older sister, he couldn’t let her fall out of favor with Shen Rong, otherwise, without children and money, life would be incredibly difficult!
