Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1822: Chapter 1824: Tease

Cheng Su returned to the room, Qi Xiaoqi was sitting on the bed flipping through a picture book that Cheng Su had bought for him. When he saw her come in, he stared intently at her.

”Still awake?” Cheng Su sat down to ask, and touched the top of his head.

”Arguing?” Qi Xiaoqi tilted his head and said.

Cheng Su laughed, turned sideways and said: ”Do you know what arguing is?” She flicked his cheek with her finger, and said, ”We’re just discussing how to raise you, it’s not arguing.”

Qi Xiaoqi pursed his lips and scoffed, if that’s not arguing, then there’s a ghost!

”Even if Mom agrees to let her take you, I hope she follows my way. We can only select from the old-fashioned upbringing methods, using what’s suitable, not what’s unsuitable. You’re my son, Mom just wants what’s best for you, what’s most suitable for you, so that your being born to this body is not in vain, nor is the initial intention of your dad and me in vain,” Cheng Su said.

There are bound to be differences in educational thoughts between generations, but she will never back down. It’s a matter of principle—once you back down, it’ll lead to endless concessions in the future. To avoid such trouble, she can only set her heart now.

”You’re a smart kid, you should know what to listen to and what not to!” Cheng Su smiled again and pinched his cheek.

Qi Xiaoqi pushed away her hand: ”Don’t pinch my cheek.”

”I insist!”

I pinch, I pinch, pinch, pinch!

Childish!

Qi Xiaoqi rolled his eyes.

Cheng Su was interested, lifted his chin, and again asked the old question: ”No one’s here now, tell me, where are you from? The future or the past? Do you really have memories of a past life?”

Qi Xiaoqi looked at her as if looking at a fool.

”Mom will tell you a secret, I’m from the future!” Cheng Su said eyes wide open: ”How about you?”

Anyway, the child is so small, if he’s not a transmigrant, he wouldn’t understand what she means; if he is, he’d naturally understand.

She waited a long time and didn’t get a reply from Qi Xiaoqi, so she snorted and poked his little chest, saying: ”You won’t say anything? Weren’t you a woman in your past life and now turned into a man?”

Better to die standing than live kneeling!

”I want to sleep!” Qi Xiaoqi refused her mental wandering, tossed aside the picture book, lay on the bed, looking like he didn’t want to talk anymore.

”Let’s chat a little more!” Cheng Su pulled his little arm, saying in a very plaintive manner: ”Your dad’s not here, and your mom is very lonely. If you really are a bit of a ’grown-up’, it’d be nice to talk with me!”

Qi Xiaoqi closed his eyes.

”If you don’t talk, I won’t care for you tomorrow and will throw you to be with your grandma!” Cheng Su even resorted to ’threatening’.

Qi Xiaoqi was infuriated, glared at her, with a look that said that’s all you’ve got.

Cheng Su sheepishly said: ”Alright, let’s not talk anymore!”

Only then did Qi Xiaoqi close his eyes satisfactorily, he was genuinely tired. Yet, before long, his mother’s voice rang again.

”Xiao Qi, although I’m home with you now, there will still be times when I can’t see you. If you’re alone with your grandma, you need to be cautious by yourself. If you can’t resist, should something happen in the future, you’ll be the one suffering!”

Qi Xiaoqi shivered slightly, furrowed his brows, turned over, and fell asleep.

Seeing this, Cheng Su didn’t tease him any longer, she just gently patted his back and said: ”Sleep, son!”

Qi Xiaoqi half-opened his eyes, looking at a flower on the bed sheet, who knows what he was thinking, it was a while before he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
