I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 503: Chapter 502: Plain as Day

Tian Qingjun knew his father was furious, and it was definitely related to this matter. But he didn’t understand why such a small issue would cause his father’s rage. Was it because of Beisitian?

The glance Tian Qingjun gave Beisitian just now reminded him of his always obedient and adorable little sister. Perhaps it was because of his little sister that his father favored Beisitian?

However, Tian Qingjun wasn’t blind. The way Tian Heming treated Beisitian went beyond favoritism. Among the third-generation children, only Tian Jun was allowed to come and go freely from the inner courtyard, as he was the family manager among the third generation. But now, there was also Beisitian!

Not only that, but this favoritism was reflected in many issues. No matter how much Beisitian resembled his little sister, her surname was Bei, not Tian. His father must be getting too old and confused!

Tian Qingjun pondered how to phrase his thoughts and broke the silence, saying, ”Dad, please don’t be angry. Indeed, Ye Hong and Yingying were wrong in this matter. We’re all family; how can our own people make such a fuss over a boy?”

His words made Dong Fengzhen’s expression soften a bit. Tian Heming’s expression remained unchanged, and even his eldest son couldn’t discern his thoughts.

”But Sitiang also has her faults. There’s no smoke without fire. Even though Yingying is young, she’s not reckless. She wouldn’t be so flustered unless she was sure in her heart. As her uncle, I have to say something to Sitiang. Now that she’s married, even if her husband isn’t always around, she should take good care of herself. A woman should know how to respect herself!”

The Tian family all knew that Beisitian’s husband, Luo Xudong, was devoted to the country. He wasn’t home every day and night, often being away for more than ten days a month. Now that Beisitian was pregnant, could she not be a bit resentful?

Tian Qingjun always believed Beisitian should be managed better. Relying on the indulgence of the two elders, even if she wasn’t arrogant, she never seemed humble enough, especially towards him as her fourth uncle. Just a greeting sufficed, not as respectful as she was to the eldest and fifth.

He said these words not solely to defend his wife and daughter. He knew Lei Yehong’s temperament very well and realized it was beyond his control now. Tian Ying needed some guidance, but considering her position, her anger was not unfounded!

”After all, Sitiang has been wandering outside for so many years, bullied by a stepmother, lacking parental education, leading to some ideological deviations. Now, finally reunited with her grandparents, Mom and Dad, you shouldn’t spoil her endlessly. This isn’t making up for her, but leading her astray!”

The more Tian Qingjun spoke, the more he felt he was making sense. It was a good opportunity to make his parents realize that endless indulgence was not good for a child!

With these thoughts, it dawned on him the frightful expression on his parents’ faces, indicating they hadn’t been listening, and he sighed.

”How about this? Let’s call that boy here to question him. Isn’t he from the Wei family? The Wei family is quite prominent, and they should take responsibility for their actions. Besides, I’d like to see this as an opportunity to teach Sitiang a lesson.”

Even the stupidest Wei family member wouldn’t abandon a direct descendant of the Tian family for a married woman.

Tian Qingjun’s remarks thoroughly disheartened Tian Heming and his wife.

Beisitian laughed coldly, with no hint of amusement in her eyes, and said to Tian Qingjun, ”What right do you have to lecture me?”

Her tone was full of disdain and irony, causing Tian Qingjun’s face to darken abruptly, ”Sitiang, after all, you are my little sister’s daughter. Even if we haven’t been that close over the years, I’m still your uncle. You should mind your words!”

His blunt warning was already quite impolite. For a junior to rely on affection with such an attitude was unacceptable!

”An uncle?” Beisitian’s face was full of ridicule, ”Does being an uncle give you the right to randomly accuse your niece without verification?”

Tian Qingjun frowned, extremely dissatisfied with Beisitian’s attitude. Moreover, he hadn’t verified this matter, but he trusted Yingying would never lose control without solid evidence. She was always mindful of her behavior at the old residence.

This was something he taught Tian Ying from a young age. The Tian family ultimately depended on Tian Heming, and neither the eldest brother nor the fifth brother had as much influence. So for Tian Ying to have a better future, she needed to earn the favor of the elders.

Tian Qingjun thought Beisitian had been ruined by her upbringing outside, with a rebellious nature, and wouldn’t listen regardless of what was said. In that case, he would wait for the Wei family’s boy to arrive; as a man, he understood a man’s thoughts best.

When the Tian family contacted Wei Zhongxun, he was with Tian Zhi. Due to their shared hardships, they always seemed to quarrel on the surface, but their relationship was genuinely good.

Because the main Tian family residence wasn’t far, they arrived quickly. Hearing the commotion outside, Tian Qingjun stood up, instinctively not wanting to let others watch the spectacle.

”Did I tell you to stand up!” Tian Heming, who hadn’t spoken until now, suddenly slammed the table, making Tian Qingjun’s knees weaken, and he knelt again instinctively.

After kneeling, he felt both shame and anger. It was humiliating to kneel in front of his wife and daughter for the first time, and now outsiders had come, yet he wasn’t allowed to stand!

But Tian Heming ruled this house, and when he said not to stand, Tian Qingjun truly didn’t dare to rise.

When Wei Zhongxun and Tian Zhi entered, they saw this scene and exchanged glances, understanding something had happened.

Tian Ying, hiding behind Lei Yehong, saw Wei Zhongxun arrive. Shielded by Lei Yehong, she discreetly waved at Wei Zhongxun in a way others couldn’t see.

Wei Zhongxun was surprised to see Tian Ying because, due to previously following Beisitian, he understood the composition of the Tian family. Since becoming a disciple, he had familiarized himself with everyone associated with Beisitian.

Thus, he naturally knew that the obese woman was Tian Ying’s mother, and the man kneeling was her father, Beisitian’s fourth uncle.

Due to the oppressive atmosphere in the hall, they didn’t know the situation and naturally stood behind Beisitian.

Seeing this, Tian Ying looked incredulous and shouted, ”Brother Xun, why are you standing by that woman’s side? She’s married, and she’s pregnant!”

Wei Zhongxun paused, wondering what she meant by this.

Having defined his role in his heart, he didn’t understand Tian Ying’s words. His master was married and pregnant. Wasn’t that obvious?
