Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 80 Recommend Pakistan to 617 Mechanical Military FactoryChapter 80 Recommend Pakistan to 617 Mechanical Military Factory

After hearing what Mr. Zhu said, Lin Chenran couldn’t help but feel extremely surprised.

How is this possible at this price!
This is simply leaving no way for the third-line military factories to survive!
Can a second-generation main battle tank be developed with 20 million Yan coins?

This is ridiculous!

If it is just the initial investment, it might be acceptable.

Obviously, these 20 million are the total investment of the Yan State military.

They planned to use the money to purchase the finished product after the Type 80 tank was successfully developed.

This is undoubtedly a money-saving strategy, but it has brought tremendous pressure to the 617 Mechanical Arsenal.

The 617 Mechanical Arsenal needs to raise funds on its own to invest in the research and development and manufacturing of the Type 80 tank.

Faced with such a dilemma, Mr. Zhu also felt very helpless.

After repeated explicit and implicit suggestions from the top management of the 617 Mechanical and Military Factory, Zhu Laocai came to the 077 Mechanical and Military Factory, hoping to get some advice or help from Lin Chenran, or to borrow some funds from the 077 Mechanical and Military Factory.

As for the former, Mr. Zhu could still ask reluctantly.

the latter?
Mr. Zhu didn’t even need to think about it, Lin Chenran would definitely refuse.

In this situation, borrowing money? Is it impossible to borrow money?

It’s useless no matter who comes!!!
Previously, the Yan State military was just ”making a profit” on the exchange rate.

Let the 077 Mechanical Military Factory exchange the million US dollars in its hands into Yan coins.

……

”Mr. Zhu, your 617 Machinery and Military Factory can also find partners to jointly develop the Type 077 tank like our 80 Machinery and Military Factory did.”

”Brother Pakistan is a good choice.”

Lin Chenran looked at Mr. Zhu seriously and said.

Lin Chenran directly pointed out a clear way to Mr. Zhu, which was to cooperate with the Pakistani brothers.

Although Pakistan did not spend 250 million US dollars like Saudi Arabia in the Camel Region.

But at least it is much better than the Yan State military which only took out 20 million Yan coins.

As long as we agree to help the other party build a tank factory for Type 80 tanks in its country in the future, the other party will definitely be happy to cooperate.

Lin Chenran believed that Pakistan would do its best to cooperate with the 617 Mechanical Military Factory. He estimated that Pakistan could come up with between million and million Yan coins.

There may be more, and the 617 Machinery and Military Factory will need to negotiate with Pakistan.

The advanced second-generation main battle tank is also of great appeal to Pakistan.

”Is this possible?” Upon hearing this, Mr. Zhu was instantly surprised.

The main reason is that in Zhu Lao’s impression, the Pakistani brothers have always been relatively poor.

Even poorer than Yan Country!

Can they come up with the funds to cooperate with the 617 Mechanical Military Factory to jointly develop the Type 80 tank?
Also, will the Yan State military agree to this approach?
”Mr. Zhu, don’t worry. Although Pakistan is poor, it can help us obtain second-generation main battle tanks and participate in their research and development. In the future, it can also obtain a modern second-generation main battle tank factory. They will sell everything they have and take out a part of the funds to cooperate with your 617 Machinery and Military Factory.”

The White Elephant, the old rival of the Pakistani brothers, owns a large number of tanks and is eyeing them covetously.

Pakistan certainly hopes to have powerful second-generation main battle tanks to deter the White Elephant.

At present, the best partner that the 617 Machinery Military Factory can find is Pakistan.

It will probably be difficult for other countries to get on line.

”Okay, I’ll go back and discuss your proposal with the senior management of the factory.”

When Mr. Zhu saw Lin Chenran’s serious expression, he immediately agreed.

Then he hurriedly left Lin Chenran’s office.

He wanted to borrow the phone number of 077 Mechanical Arsenal to explain the situation to the senior management of 617 Mechanical Arsenal.

He doesn’t need to be present in person for such negotiation and cooperation matters.

At the same time, there was another knock on the door.

”Uh?” ”Mr. Zhu, please come in directly!”

Lin Chenran thought that Mr. Zhu had forgotten something, so he returned again.

”Ok!”

”Mr. Song, it turns out to be you!”

”I thought it was Mr. Zhu!”

Seeing this, Lin Chenran smiled brightly and led Song Xiyun to sit on the sofa.

He also asked his assistant to make a cup of hot tea for Song Xiyun.

”Chen Ran, I ran into Old Zhu when I went out. He looked very anxious. He simply greeted me and said he had something urgent to do, then left.”

Song Xiyun asked in confusion.

”Oh! Mr. Zhu, please come to our 077 Mechanical Arsenal for two things.”

Then Lin Chenran told him the conversation he had just had with Mr. Zhu.

When Song Xiyun heard this, he suddenly understood.

“原来他过来是想要让它们617机械军工厂的80式坦克搭载我们辛辛苦苦采购而来的760匹马力四冲程V型12缸V-46柴油发动机，还有让你给它们指条明路啊！”

Song Xiyun did not say much about this and his face remained calm.

Then he said slowly: ”Chenran, the ten 760 horsepower four-stroke V-12 cylinder V-46 diesel engines that we signed a contract with the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau have been delivered back.”

”Then we can use these ten 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engines to build a few test versions of the Apocalypse Tank.”

Song Xiyun really didn’t expect that his factory director would gain something from a trip to the Russian Bear. He reached a cooperation with the Design Bureau of Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant and introduced a 760-horsepower four-stroke V-type 12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine from his opponent.

”No problem. You are the chief designer of the Apocalypse Tank project. Everything will be done according to your ideas.”

”If you need my support, just tell me and I’ll cooperate.”

Lin Chenran kept himself in a low profile and had already told Song Xiyun that he would be in charge of the Apocalypse tank project.

Lin Chenran definitely believes 100% in Song Xiyun’s ability.

Song Xiyun was deeply moved.

With such a factory director who dares to ”delegate power”, we will not be restricted in doing things and can devote ourselves to designing and developing the Apocalypse tank.

In particular, Lin Chenran’s trip to Russia solved the engine problem that had been plaguing the Apocalypse tank.

This support is absolutely strong.

Although Lin Chenran always said that it was very simple to negotiate cooperation with the Design Bureau of Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant.

Sit down and sign the contract.

But Song Xiyun knew that it was not that simple.

Lin Chenran: I really went to Nizhny Tagil, then sat down and signed a contract with the senior management of the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau, and then flew back.

……

”Mr. Song, I hope to speed up the development of the Apocalypse Tank and shorten the time as much as possible.”

Lin Chenran said this with a serious expression.

”Something happened?”

Hearing this, Song Xiyun looked up.

”Well! As you know, due to the grim international situation, our superiors hope that our 077 Mechanical Military Factory can develop the Apocalypse Tank as soon as possible, and then deploy it on the border to deter neighboring countries.”

There is no way. The Type 59 and Type 69 tanks in Yan State’s hands are already very backward and have no deterrent capability at all.

Now, the Yan State military wants the Apocalypse tank to “carry the banner”.

”Forehead?”

”Chenran, can the military purchase on a large scale?”
