Chapter 68: Feeding the Bear's Top ManagementChapter 68: Feeding the Bear’s Top Management
After drinking a bottle of vodka, Lin Chenran immediately stood up, raised his glass and congratulated Kovlevich, ”Kovlevich, congratulations on your promotion to become the Chief of Staff of the Far East Fleet.”

The corners of Kovlevich’s mouth rose slightly, revealing a faint smile, his face filled with joy and pride.

When his friends learned about his promotion and congratulated him in front of him, the feeling of inner satisfaction made him feel extremely happy.

”Thank you, Lin. Without your strong support, I would not be able to sit in this position today.” Kovlevich expressed his gratitude sincerely.

”No, no, no, this is entirely due to your outstanding abilities and your leader’s ability to appoint the right people to the right positions.” Lin Chenran quickly shook his head and corrected Kovlevich’s statement.

”Deserved punishment!”

Lin Chenran waved his hands repeatedly to express his denial.

”Yes, yes, that’s right. This is entirely because my abilities have reached this level and have been recognized by my superiors.” Kovlevich nodded in agreement.

”I’ll be fined one bottle!!!”

After saying that, Kovlevich picked up a brand new bottle of vodka, raised his head and drank it in one gulp, and finished it immediately.

The staff at the ”Red Romance” tavern is quite mixed, with people from all walks of life.

If what Kovlevich said here reached the ears of some senior officials, Kovlevich would not be able to explain himself even if he had ten mouths.

If his enemies heard this, they would definitely seize the opportunity to beat Kovlevich to death.

It makes sense that drinking alcohol can cause trouble.

After Kovlevich ”showed off” a bottle of vodka, his body trembled slightly, his face was as pale as paper, and his forehead was covered with fine beads of sweat.

His deep eyes were filled with fear and anxiety at this moment. He looked around and his whole body was covered in cold sweat.

”Kovlevich, it’s okay. We have people all around.” Lin Chenran smiled and comforted, ”As long as they don’t say anything, no one will know.”

Kovlevich gradually relaxed after hearing this, but still said with some worry: ”I hope so... I don’t want this to affect my career.”

Seeing this, Lin Chenran raised the corners of his mouth and revealed a sly smile.

He knew that he had successfully frightened Kovlevich.

”Don’t worry, Kovlevich. We are all family. No one will betray you.”

Lin Chenran patted Kovlevich on the shoulder and spoke in a firm tone.

Kovlevich nodded, took a deep breath, and tried to calm himself.

”We are all our own people!”

”Come on, let’s continue drinking.” Kovlevich picked up a bottle of vodka on the table and toasted everyone with a smile on his face.

Lin Chenran naturally became the first person to be toasted. He raised the vodka in his hand and clinked the bottle with Kovlevich.

……

After Lin Chenran and his group had drunk 70% of their drinks, Kovlevich stood up and took them out of the ”Red Romance” tavern.

It was already late at night, and Kovlevich did not take them anywhere else, but instead came to a small Western-style building.

This is the property that Kovlevich purchased in Vladivostok not long ago. He plans to turn it into a secret base.

After entering the western-style building, Kovlevich asked the servants to serve everyone a cup of hot tea, then he sat on the sofa and began chatting with Lin Chenran and others.

After chatting for a while, Kovlevich got straight to the point and asked, ”Lin, what are you doing here this time?”

Lin Chenran certainly wouldn’t just say that he wanted to buy a 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine.

Of course, a portion of the profits must be released to allow Kovlevich and other Mao Xiong executives to ”eat their fill”. Lin Chenran smiled, turned to look at Kovlevich, and said slowly: ”Kovlevich, this is someone from the 077 Mechanical Military Factory, who will be responsible for the international trade between Yan Country and Mao Xiong in the future.”

When Kovlevich heard this, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure.

He warmly shook hands with all the senior executives of the 077 Machinery Arsenal present and expressed his welcome.

Several senior executives of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal seemed somewhat flattered.

They knew that their status was far inferior to that of big men like Kovlevich.

They understood that the reason they were receiving such treatment at this moment was entirely because of their factory director, Lin Chenran.

If it weren’t for Lin Chenran’s relationship, they would probably have hardly had the opportunity to meet the Chief of Staff of the Far East Fleet.

Therefore, they secretly felt fortunate to be a member of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

”As the international trade route between Yan Country and Mao Xiong becomes smoother, our subsequent transactions of light industrial goods will increase.”

Lin Chenran talked directly about the future with Kovlevich, his tone full of anticipation and excitement.

Kovlevich understood immediately that there were no senior executives from the 077 Mechanical Arsenal present, so the scale of the transaction between them was limited.

But the situation is different now. With the participation of these senior executives, Lin Chenran feels more assured and can increase bilateral transactions.

”Really?” A hint of surprise flashed in Kovlevich’s eyes, and he wanted to confirm the good news again.

”That’s right, increase the transaction share.” Lin Chenran nodded repeatedly and responded in a firm tone.

”That’s great!” Kovlevich said excitedly. Increasing the transactions between the two sides means that he and some of the top executives of the bear can make more profits.

Previously, Kovlevich and other senior executives of the Bear Group had always hoped to expand the transaction, but due to their unfamiliarity with the market and other reasons, Lin Chenran politely declined.

And now, Lin Chenran took the initiative to propose a large-scale transaction, which made Kovlevich ecstatic.

It seems as if a steady stream of money is flowing into your pocket, and your position will reach a higher level.

“Worth another drink!”

Lin Chenran and the other man clinked glasses with tea instead of wine.

Kovlevich then asked, ”Lin, are we still going to use scrapped tanks and warships to exchange them?”

Of course, Kovlevich had to ask clearly about the transaction method.

This is related to subsequent interests.

”Kovlevich, part of it will be offset by scrapped tanks and warships.”

”Some of it is in the form of money. You can’t let us just collect rags without any money!”

Lin Chenran said helplessly.

Suddenly everyone burst into laughter.

The international trade route between Yan Country and the Russian Bear was negotiated, allowing a group of Russian Bear high-ranking officials to make a lot of money.

Next up was a discussion of a 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12 V-46 diesel engine.

”What? Lin, you are not kidding me, right?”

”You want the technology and production line for a 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12 V-46 diesel engine?”
