Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 58: Are you still going to let the 1rd-tier military factories survive?Chapter 58: Are you still going to let those third-tier military factories survive?
After the banquet, Abdul and his subordinates drove out of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal in a luxurious Rolls-Royce sedan and returned to the hotel to rest.

Because they were used to living in more comfortable places and were not accustomed to the guesthouse of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

They decided to return to the 077 Mechanical Arsenal the next day and learn more about its latest second-generation main battle tank design and development plan.

Lin Chenran and Song Xiyun stood in front of the building of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory, watching the ”Rolls-Royce” convoy carrying the Saudi representatives from the Camel Region gradually go away.

Soon after, the vehicles disappeared into the night, leaving behind only silence.

”Mr. Song, it’s getting late and we should go back.” Lin Chenran said softly.

Then he turned and walked towards his office.

Song Xiyun followed him closely and went there together.

As soon as they entered the office, the two began to discuss their next plan.

How to cleverly ”trick” Saudi Arabia in the Camel region into investing in its own second-generation main battle tanks.

”Chen Ran, your strategy is very successful, but are the military leaders really willing to let our 077 Mechanical Military Factory export the Xuanwu special steel?”

Song Xiyun looked at Lin Chenran in front of him and couldn’t help but ask.

His tone was full of doubt and uneasiness, waiting for Lin Chenran to explain to him.

Lin Chenran frowned slightly, as if thinking about something. After a while, he finally raised his head, looked at Song Xiyun with a firm look and said, ”Mr. Song, don’t worry, I believe the military will agree to the export of Xuanwu special steel.”

After all, this involves arms sales worth hundreds of millions or even billions of US dollars.

The top military officials of Yan State will definitely consider this carefully.

”After all, we have already started to develop the stronger Xuanwu-2 special steel.” Lin Chenran said with a faint smile on his face, his eyes firm and full of confidence.

He thought to himself: After all, it will take one to two years to export to Saudi Arabia in the Camel region. By then, the 077 Mechanical Military Factory will have developed the Xuanwu-2 special steel. By then, they will have more advanced and more powerful technology and products.

Then the backward basalt special steel was sold to Saudi Arabia in the Camel area.

”This……”

”Chenran, are you betting on the second generation of Xuanwu special steel?”

Song Xiyun was completely surprised.

He knew very well that Lin Chenran had not stopped since the 077 Mechanical Military Factory successfully developed the first generation of basalt special steel.

Instead, it invested a large amount of money, manpower and material resources to carry out the research work on the special steel Xuanwu-2 with all its strength.

Lin Chenran smiled slightly and nodded gently: ”Mr. Song, don’t worry! We have made a breakthrough in the development of Xuanwu-2 special steel, and I believe we will be able to develop it successfully soon.”

”hope so!”

Song Xiyun still had a little worry in his heart, but since Lin Chenran said it was no problem, he would definitely accept it.

……

At the same time, after Wei Lao returned, he immediately convened a high-level military meeting of Yan State, and the content of the meeting was only one thing.

That is the matter of the basalt special steel from the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

When the senior military officials of Yan State heard the news, they all showed surprise.

They know what the success of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory’s basalt special steel means - it will bring huge changes and development opportunities to Yan Country’s military industry!

This special basalt steel not only has strong hardness and toughness, but also has excellent properties such as high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. It can be said to be one of the most advanced special steels in the world.

With it, Yan Country’s weapons and equipment will become more powerful.

However, when Mr. Wei mentioned that the 077 Mechanical Military Factory planned to export the second-generation main battle tanks equipped with Xuanwu special steel, the entire conference room suddenly exploded.

The military leaders of Yan State began to discuss the issue heatedly. They felt that if tanks equipped with special basalt steel were exported abroad and obtained and cracked by other countries, it would be a heavy blow to Yan State.

Because the strength of today’s special basalt steel far exceeds the special steel used in all tanks around the world, once it leaks out, the consequences will be disastrous.

After a heated debate, most of the senior military officials of Yan State expressed opposition to exporting special basalt steel overseas.

They believe that this strategic resource must be in their own hands and must not be easily outflowed.

”Is there any meaning in hiding it?”

Mr. Wei’s voice was full of helplessness and dissatisfaction.

He looked around at the silent senior executives.

”Do you know that the Eagle Sauce and the Russian Bear don’t have more advanced special tank steel?”

”Do we have the funds to purchase this special steel?”

He continued to question, his tone becoming more severe.

The country currently does not have enough funds to purchase more advanced special tank steels.

”Do you still want the domestic military industry to develop? Do you still want to give the third-tier military factories a chance to survive?”

Mr. Wei’s last words were like a sharp sword, piercing the hearts of every senior executive.

This cannot be exported, that cannot be exported, and the military will not purchase it.

Isn’t this pushing a number of third-tier military factories to the brink of collapse?

In the past, it was said that it would support the development of a number of third-tier military factories.

Support them in exploring overseas arms sales markets.

Without advanced weapons and equipment, how can other countries purchase them?

Others are not stupid. Why would they buy a bunch of junk?
And now the 077 Machinery Military Factory has finally caught up with the ”big dog customers” and let them provide most of the funds for the design and development of the second-generation main battle tank.

And their Yan country’s military directly “blocked” the cooperation!
After Mr. Wei finished speaking, the entire conference room fell into silence.

If Lin Chenran was present, he would definitely cheer for Mr. Wei.

Lin Chenran: The one who understands me is Mr. Wei!!!

Then, Mr. Wei said that the 077 Mechanical Military Factory has begun to develop the second generation of basalt special steel, which should be successful soon.

The second generation of basalt special steel has been greatly improved in all aspects.

”This……”

A senior military official of Yan Country swallowed his saliva and was shocked: ”The 077 Mechanical Military Factory has begun to develop the second generation of basalt special steel?”

”So fast?”

Mr. Wei did not hide anything and said calmly, ”Yes, we have already started the research and development, and have achieved some results. I believe that we will be able to develop the second generation of special basalt steel soon.”

In this case, a group of senior military officials of Yan State no longer objected to the 077 Mechanical Military Factory exporting the first generation of basalt special steel!

With more advanced special tank steel, the previous generation could export and earn extra money.

”Abdul from the Saudi Arabian country in the Camel Region will come to discuss cooperation with us in secret in the next few days. He should purchase a batch of weapons and equipment to take back.”

“The situation around the Camel area is not stable right now.”

”Neither the Eagles nor the Russians are willing to sell weapons and equipment to Saudi Arabia, so they come to our country to try their luck.”
