Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 57 Money is not a problemChapter 57 Money is not a problem

Abdul did not hesitate at all and said directly: ”I want to buy your main battle tank covered with special basalt steel plates.”

”This”

Lin Chenran pretended to look embarrassed, but he was actually very happy in his heart.

Because Abdul was walking step by step into the trap he had carefully set.

Seeing Lin Chenran’s expression, Abdul thought that the other party had some concerns, so he said with great pride: ”Lin, my friend, money is not a problem.”

Abdul had his own considerations. According to previous tests, the special basalt steel developed by the 077 Mechanical Military Factory could actually withstand the attack of the T-72 tank shells of the Russian Bear at such a close distance.

Moreover, the thickness of that piece of special basalt steel is only 100 mm.

Normally, the thickness of the steel covering a tank needs to be between 150 and 250 mm.

By this calculation, even the most powerful main battle tank in the world today would find it difficult to penetrate a tank covered with special basalt steel at close range.

This is why Abdul is willing to spend a lot of money to buy tanks covered with special basalt steel.

The defense is greatly enhanced, allowing the tank to survive in complex environments.

It’s even more amazing that it can survive the armor-piercing shells of the T72 tank!
Abdul: Although I am called a dog owner, I am not stupid! Can’t I see whether I am strong or not?

”Abdul, to be honest, our 077 Mechanical Military Factory already has a design for a second-generation main battle tank that uses special basalt steel as armor.”

”Due to insufficient funds and the military’s refusal to purchase, the design and development of this second-generation main battle tank was shelved.”

”The reason the military doesn’t buy it is not because it’s not good enough, but because military spending is insufficient.”

”You also know that in order to develop the economy, our country has to give way to the economy, and military spending has been cut by more than half.”

Lin Chenran said with an embarrassed look on his face.

This is actually telling the other party: ”I have a design and development plan for a second-generation main battle tank, but I have limited funds at hand. Are you willing to invest?”

I understand everything! ! !

Otherwise, why would Lin Chenran specially invite Abdul to watch this ”spear and shield” duel between the Xuanwu special steel of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal and the T72 tank of the Russian bear?
From the very beginning, Lin Chenran’s goal was to attract Saudi Arabia in the Camel region to invest in the second-generation main battle tanks designed and developed by their factory.

”Lin, if it’s appropriate, there’s no problem with cooperation.”

When Abdul saw this, a smile immediately appeared on his face.

It seems to be saying that funds are not a problem, sales are not a problem, and Saudi Arabia can provide all of these!
After Lin Chenran and Abdul looked at each other, they understood each other and hit it off immediately!
When the senior executives of the 617 Mechanical Arsenal saw this scene, they couldn’t help but reveal envy and jealousy in their eyes.

They secretly sighed that the 077 Mechanical Military Factory was so lucky that it could even get the favor of the big money sponsor from the Saudi country in the Camel region.

Once we firmly ”grasp” the big money sponsor, there will be a steady stream of funds flowing into the 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

……

After the temperature of target No. 3 dropped, Lin Chenran and others couldn’t wait to move over. They also wanted to watch the final result of this ”spear and shield” duel up close.

When everyone came around target No. 3, they could still feel a trace of residual warmth, as if reminding them of the thrilling experiment just now.

When everyone looked closely, they saw that the steel needle of the armor-piercing bullet was ”stuck” on target No. 3, and a deep pit was blasted out, while a bulge appeared at the back.

However, the most amazing thing is that it did not penetrate target 3!!!

Everyone couldn’t help but sigh: It’s worthy of being called Xuanwu special steel, its strength is simply amazing.

You know, even the armor-piercing shells fired by the Soviet T72 tank at a distance of meters could not penetrate it. It is really amazing.

Although the target reporter had just reported the specific situation of target No. 3, there was still a world of difference between seeing it with one’s own eyes and hearing the report.

At this moment, the sight of Target No. 3 at close range made Abdul and others from Saudi Arabia in the Camel area secretly gasp.

”This……”

Afterwards, everyone left the test site with mixed feelings.

The top management of the 617 Mechanical Arms Factory felt relieved when they saw that the mission was accomplished. They secretly issued an order: ”Quick! Load this T-72 tank onto the truck and transport it away. Don’t give the people from the 077 Mechanical Arms Factory any chance!”

After receiving the order, the workers acted quickly, carefully loaded the T-72 tanks onto the trucks, and drove away at full speed.

The top executives of the 617 Mechanical Arsenal went back with them.

They were afraid that this T72 tank would be kept by the Yan State military high-ranking officials and given to the 077 Mechanical Military Factory to test the ”Xuanwu Special” steel.

Lin Chenran and others stood aside and watched it all happen, but they did not stop it.

Now that the test results are in, the T72 tank seems less important.

Another point is that the 077 Mechanical Military Factory has established contact with the Russian Federation, and will be able to obtain scrapped T72 tanks later.

Although it is a scrapped T72 tank, it can still be used for testing.

After Wei Lao and other senior military officials of Yan State watched the test experiment of the special basalt steel at the 077 Mechanical Military Factory, one of them stayed behind to meet with Abdul, and the others left afterwards.

There’s no way, they are very busy and there are many things that need them to deal with.

But Mr. Wei has more important things to report to his superiors.

That’s right, it’s about the special basalt steel developed by the 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

……

077 Mechanical Arsenal

When everyone came back from the testing site, Lin Chenran had someone prepare a sumptuous meal.

”Abdul, I specially asked someone to prepare some authentic Sichuan cuisine. I hope you like it.”

While Lin Chenran was talking, he warmly invited Abdul and others to sit down.

He knew that these distinguished guests from the Saudi Kingdom in the camel area loved delicious food and enjoying life, so he specially arranged a sumptuous banquet to entertain them.

The table was filled with all kinds of delicious food, and the aroma was fragrant.

There are classic Sichuan dishes such as spicy hot pot, boiled fish, mapo tofu, as well as special snacks such as grilled lamb skewers and pilaf.

In addition, a variety of fruits and drinks are provided, which are mouth-watering.

Abdul looked at the table full of delicious food with his eyes shining and his mouth watering.

He couldn’t wait to pick up the chopsticks, picked up a piece of boiled fish and put it in his mouth. He was immediately conquered by the delicious taste.

While chewing the fish, he exclaimed: ”Authentic Sichuan cuisine is so delicious.”

Lin Chenran sat aside with a smile, watching Abdul sweating while eating, feeling very satisfied.

He picked up the glass, toasted Abdul, and said: ”Abdul, I am very happy to work with you. May our friendship last forever and create a better future together.”

After hearing this, Abdul quickly picked up his glass and toasted back to express his gratitude to Lin Chenran.

He said: ”Lin, thank you for letting me have an authentic Sichuan meal. It’s really delicious, but a little spicy! But it doesn’t matter, this spicy taste is really addictive.”

After saying that, he picked up another piece of food with chopsticks and put it into his mouth, eating it with relish.

Seeing this, Lin Chenran smiled and said, ”Haha, Sichuan cuisine is famous for its unique spicy taste. Although it’s a bit spicy, I believe you will become more and more addicted the more you eat it.”

Abdul nodded in agreement. “It’s a little spicy, but I can’t stop eating it,” he said.

“I’ve fallen in love with the taste.”

After hearing this, Lin Chenran laughed, then raised his glass and toasted Abdul again.

The two men clinked their glasses and drank the wine in their glasses. The atmosphere was warm and harmonious.

In the following time, Lin Chenran and Abdul continued to taste various delicacies.
