Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 75: Complete the cooperation and get another chance to travel through the heavensChapter 75: Complete the cooperation and get another chance to travel through the heavens (the update is late, I worked overtime today)

When Kovlevich saw this, his eyes sparkled.

Drinking is his biggest hobby.

Moreover, we have just reached a cooperation and made a lot of profit, so we need to have a good drink to celebrate.

”Lin, thank you. I will definitely be there.”

Kovlevich patted his chest and answered affirmatively.

He needed to go back to the Far East Fleet’s base first, then report the situation to Leo Gago, and then he could attend Lin Chenran’s cocktail party.

”Kovlevich, you must be here. You are the hero of this cooperation. If you don’t come, it means you look down on us and the friendship between us, the Davari family.”

Lin Chenran said with a stronger tone.

Kovlevich retorted: ”Why not? If you invite me, I will definitely be there. Unless I have a special mission to go to sea, I will come even if I am sick.”

How could a person who loves alcohol miss any drinking party?

Suddenly there was a burst of laughter.

Then Lin Chenran and Kovlevich separated.

Lin Chenran went back to the tavern to make preparations.

Kovlevich returned to the Far Eastern Fleet’s base to report the situation to Leo Gago.

……

Vladivostok Far Eastern Fleet Station
Kovlevich walked briskly to the door of Leo Gago’s office. He took a deep breath and raised his hand to knock on the door: ”Knock knock knock!”

”Come in!” Leo Gago’s steady and powerful voice came from inside the house.

Kovlevich carefully opened the door, stepped into the office, and then closed the door gently.

With a smile on his face, he warmly greeted Leo Gago, who was sitting behind his desk: ”General Gago!”

Leo Gago put down the document he was working on, raised his head, glanced at Kovlevich sharply, and then said calmly: ”Kovlevich, sit down!”

Kovlevich walked to the table and sat down. He leaned forward slightly, looked at Leo Gago sincerely, and said softly, ”General Gago, Lin Chenran has successfully signed a contract with the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau.”

“We moved quickly and didn’t stay in Nizhny Tagil for too long.”

Although Kovlevich expressed it rather implicitly, Leo Gago naturally understood the deeper meaning.

It would be quite troublesome if you were targeted by the KGB.

Those KGB agents are a bunch of lunatics.

A group of inhumane ”state machines”.

Leo Gago raised the corners of his mouth slightly, revealing a satisfied smile, and praised Kovlevich: ”Kovlevich, you have worked hard!”

“Everything is for the country!”

Kovlevich said nobly.

“Yes, everything is for the country.”

The smile on Leo Gago’s face grew brighter, and he looked at Kovlevich with admiration, as if to say, ”This young man is teachable.”

Immediately afterwards, after Kovlevich and Leo Gago chatted for a while, a communications officer suddenly broke in and interrupted their conversation, saying that the leaders above had important matters to discuss.

”General Gago, please go ahead and I’ll go take care of other matters.” Seeing this, Kovlevich immediately stood up and politely said goodbye.

Leo Gago smiled and nodded, waving Kovlevich to leave.

Kovlevich breathed a sigh of relief when he left Leo Gago’s office. His mission was finally completed successfully, and he could finally put his heart at ease.

This time, the cooperation with Lin Chenran was a great success for Kovlevich, who made a lot of money and became rich instantly. His excitement was beyond words. It turned out that this was what it felt like to make a lot of money.

This is too cool!

Kovlevich then left the Far Eastern Fleet base in Vladivostok. He had to go back to pack up and attend Lin Chenran’s cocktail party later.

……

At the same time, everyone who returned to the hotel was called to Lin Chenran’s room and then explained some things.

After several high-level executives of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory came to the room, Lin Chenran sat on the sofa, looked at the people in front of him, and said calmly: ”Everyone, I will return to China tomorrow. For the next period of time, the international trade between China and the Russian bear will depend on you all.”

Since he has reached a cooperation with the Design Bureau of Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant, the purpose of his visit to Russia has been achieved. He can just leave the rest to these people.

And Lin Chenran also wanted to go home. After all, staying in a foreign country for a long time always makes one feel strange and lonely.

Although the Russian bear is good, one’s own country still makes people feel more comfortable and secure.

After hearing Lin Chenran’s words, several senior executives of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal showed surprise and helplessness on their faces.

But soon, they calmed down.

In fact, their mission was clearly explained early on, which was to be responsible for keeping an eye on the international trade routes between Yan Country and the Russian Bear.

Lin Chenran had previously promised these senior executives that if they could do this job well, they would be promoted and get a raise when they returned.

So they all knew clearly what they should do.

”Director, we know about this.” A senior executive nodded to show that he understood.

Other senior executives also echoed this.

Lin Chenran nodded with satisfaction and continued, ”Well, that’s good. You are the backbone of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory. I specially selected you to control this route. I believe you will be able to handle this task. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.”

”That’s right, don’t worry, we will definitely not let you down.”

Several senior executives of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal patted their chests and answered affirmatively.

This allows them to be independent, which of course they are happy about. Moreover, they will get promotions and salary increases after returning, which makes them very happy.

……

After briefly explaining the matters, Lin Chenran took several people from the 077 Mechanical Military Factory to the Red Romance Tavern, where he wanted to invite Kovlevich to have a drink to celebrate the joint efforts of his own 077 Mechanical Military Factory and the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau.

……

After briefly explaining the matters, Lin Chenran brought several staff members from the 077 Mechanical Military Factory to the Red Romantic Tavern.

This is the place he and Kovlevich agreed to meet at, where they will raise their glasses and celebrate the successful cooperation between the 077 Mechanical Arsenal and the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau.

……

After returning from the Bear Country, Lin Chenran did not rush back to Linjiang Province, but chose to stay in the imperial capital for a while.

The reason was simple: as soon as Lin Chenran returned to China, his itinerary was known by his father.

Soon, he received a call from the old man, asking him to go home first.

Lin Chenran knew that his father would definitely ask about the cooperation between the 077 Mechanical Military Factory and the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau.

……

Just after returning to China, Lin Chenran was greatly surprised that the Zhutian Crossing System, which had been silent for a long time, actually ”came to life”.

A familiar mechanical voice sounded in Lin Chenran’s mind.

[Ding Dong! Congratulations to the host for trading for a 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine from the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau, and a chance to travel through the heavens as a reward.]
