Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 59: Apocalypse Tank! Start!Chapter 59: Apocalypse Tank! Start!
The next morning, Lin Chenran got up early, washed up, and couldn’t wait to go to the cafeteria for breakfast.

After filling his stomach, he went straight to the door of the building of 077 Mechanical Arsenal and waited quietly for Abdul’s arrival.

Not long after, a row of eye-catching black spots gradually appeared in Lin Chenran’s sight.

As the distance gets closer, these black spots become larger and larger.

Lin Chenran couldn’t help but smile slightly, secretly delighted in his heart - this was exactly Abdul’s Rolls-Royce fleet!
At this time, Song Xiyun, who was standing aside, pointed to the front and said, ”Chenran, that’s Abdul’s convoy!”

Lin Chenran smiled and nodded.

Soon, Abdul’s fleet of Rolls-Royces parked steadily in front of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal building.

The car door opened, and a group of men in suits and ties, looking very impressive, got out of the car.

They walked steadily and looked serious.

Lin Chenran had a bright smile on his face and walked quickly forward to greet Abdul.

When he came up to Abdul, he took the initiative to extend his left hand in a friendly welcome.

Abdul tidied his appearance, then stretched out his right hand and shook hands tightly with Lin Chenran.

The two sides exchanged glances, revealing mutual trust and respect.

”Abdul, it’s a great pleasure to see you again and warmly welcome you to our 077 Mechanical Arsenal.” Lin Chenran said enthusiastically.

Abdul smiled and responded: ”Thank you for your invitation. I didn’t sleep last night because I wanted to see the second-generation main battle tank designed and developed by your company as soon as possible.”

”Ahahaha, I will definitely not let you down.”

Lin Chenran was stunned at first, then he smiled slightly. He was very confident in the second-generation main battle tank designed and developed by his own 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

After a brief greeting, Abdul and Lin Chenran walked into the gate of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal together and went straight to the meeting room.

After everyone arrived at the conference room and sat down, the door closed instantly.

This is to prevent the design and development plan of the second-generation main battle tank of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory from being leaked.

Abdul and others acted calmly when they saw this, because they knew the rules well.

Seeing that Abdul was very calm, Lin Chenran signaled his assistant to distribute the design and development plan of the second-generation main battle tank of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal to everyone.

Subsequently, Abdul and others obtained the design and development plan of the second-generation main battle tank from the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

As the director of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory, Lin Chenran had of course to explain to everyone his own second-generation main battle tank, the modified 59 tank (Apocalypse tank).

”Abdul, our Apocalypse tank is equipped with a 120mm smoothbore gun developed by our country.”

Lin Chenran replied very calmly.

”120mm smoothbore gun?”

”Can it penetrate the defenses of the Russian T72 tank and the American M1 tank?”

”Both the Russians and the Americans use 125mm smoothbore guns on their main battle tanks.”

Salman, the representative of Saudi Arabia in the camel area below, interrupted Lin Chenran and refuted him.

This Salman is a military officer among the Saudi representatives in the Camel region.

Abdul frowned immediately after hearing this.

Although the 120mm smoothbore gun on the Apocalypse tank does not quite meet the needs of his own country, it is a bit impolite to interrupt other people’s conversation without giving any hint.

He is in a difficult position now.

I thought to myself: I’ll deal with you when I get back!
Lin Chenran was interrupted suddenly, but he was not angry. He just smiled and said in a calm tone: ”Abdul, Salman, our 120mm smoothbore gun uses advanced manufacturing technology, which can effectively improve the initial velocity and accuracy of the shells, thereby enhancing the armor-piercing capability.”

”It is also equipped with advanced fire control systems and sighting equipment, which can better bring out the performance of this artillery.” Lin Chenran continued: ”We regard this Apocalypse tank as an export tank.”

Abdul and Salman on the side were puzzled.

Then Lin Chenran began to explain: ”Abdul, if you don’t like our 120mm smoothbore gun, we can slightly change the design, but you must have a 125mm smoothbore gun.”

”Anyway, you have a good relationship with the Eagle Sauce and the Bear, so you should be able to purchase a batch of 125mm smoothbore cannons from them.”

Lin Chenran directly acted as if, as long as you pay enough, I can change it to your satisfaction.

Even if you buy weapons and equipment accessories from the United States or Russia, I can help you install them.

Abdul and the others smiled slightly when they heard this.

This is really good. It is based on the Apocalypse Tank of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory and has been upgraded and modified.

Abdul said very generously.

”Lin, the 120mm smoothbore gun does not meet the needs of our country. We require a 125mm smoothbore gun as the main weapon. Price is not a problem.”

”No problem, let’s change the design and development plan.”

”However, you must give us an answer as soon as possible, whether to choose the main weapon system of the Eagle Sauce or the main weapon system of the Russian Bear.”

”If it is a Russian bear, it is easy for us to modify it. After all, our weapons are also evolved from Soviet weapons.”

As long as the money is paid, the 077 Mechanical Military Factory can change the design and development plan for it.

”Lin, we will give you an answer within a month after we return.”

Abdul thought for a moment and gave a rough date.

”No problem, I’ll wait for your reply.”

Lin Chenran replied calmly.

Abdul gave a subsequent reply, which means that he was very interested in the second-generation main battle tank of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal - the Apocalypse tank.

Otherwise, why would this happen? You should just refuse directly in person.

”Abdul, I suggest using the Soviet-style 125mm smoothbore cannon. After all, we are of the same lineage as the Russian bear, and our designs are all Soviet-style.”

”If we use the Eagle Sauce’s 125mm smoothbore gun, it might be a bit out of place.”

”Of course, this is my suggestion, not my opinion.”

Lin Chenran expressed his thoughts.

By then, the power unit of the Apocalypse Tank will be a 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine.

”Lin, we will listen to your suggestions carefully.”

”But I don’t come from a military background, so I don’t quite understand. I need to discuss this with domestic military talents before I can give you an answer.”

Abdul did not give Lin Chenran an immediate reply. He did not understand it very well and needed to take the design and development plan of the second-generation main battle tank back to domestic tank experts for discussion.

”Abdul, my friend, it’s okay. I’m just giving you advice. As for how you consider it, I can’t interfere.”

Lin Chenran spoke very frankly.

He then went on to explain the various configuration parameters of the Apocalypse Tank.

Especially when talking about the Apocalypse tank equipped with a 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine, Salman interrupted Lin Chenran again.
