Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 69 When the profit reaches 300, I am not afraid of even going to the gallowsChapter 69 When the profit reaches 300%, there is no fear even of going to the gallows
When Kovlevich heard this, he jumped up in shock. He stared at Lin Chenran in disbelief with his eyes wide open.

”How is this possible? You actually aimed at the four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine of the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau? That’s the engine of the early T72 tank!” Kovlevich exclaimed.

He suspected that he had heard it wrong, so he asked again: ”Lin, are you sure you didn’t say it wrong?”

Lin Chenran shook his head and smiled and said, ”Kovlevich, I know exactly what I am talking about. Yes, we do need the 760 horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine developed by the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau.”

After hearing this, Kovlevich couldn’t help but gasp. He thought Lin Chenran was a lunatic who actually wanted the 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine developed by the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau. ”.

”Lin, do you really understand what you are thinking about?” Kovlevich said a little excitedly.

However, Lin Chenran calmly replied: ”Kovlevich, of course I know. But you should also understand that this 760 horsepower four-stroke V-12 cylinder V-46 diesel engine is outdated for you.”

”You already have better tank engines.”

Lin Chenran’s words woke Kovlevich up from his dream.

Indeed, the improved T72 tanks no longer use the ”meritorious” 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine because they have more powerful tank engines.

”Lin, your plan is crazy!” Kovlevich exclaimed.

Although this 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine is outdated for them, it is still at the top level in the international market. Will the superiors sell it?

Kovlevich shook his head repeatedly; he had no idea either.

However, Lin Chenran smiled mysteriously: ”Kovlevich, don’t jump to conclusions so quickly.”

”Your 760 horsepower four-stroke V-12 cylinder V-46 diesel engine is outdated and no longer the core of your tank. Why not sell it to obtain a considerable amount of funds and then invest it in research and development?” He continued to say temptingly.

It’s not that I won’t sell it, it’s just that the price is not high enough.

Look at the rabbit. When it gets ruthless, it will even sell bullets to the camel.

As long as the price is right, everything is negotiable.

”Lin, it seems you are very confident!”

Kovlevich instantly became interested. He was now very curious to know how much Lin Chenran would spend to purchase this advanced 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine technology and the related production line.

Lin Chenran smiled and said confidently: ”Kovlevich, since we are friends, of course I will take special care of you.”

Lin Chenran proposed two solutions.

The first plan: ”If you can help me make connections and take me to the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau so that I can reach a cooperation agreement with them, I am willing to pay you $100,000, and I will take care of the rest. You can take the money with peace of mind.”

This plan instantly aroused Kovlevich’s desire.

Just a simple introduction and you can easily get $100,000, which is simply pie in the sky.

No matter what happens later, he doesn’t have to bear any risks. It’s a sure win!

He began to look forward to Lin Chenran’s second plan.

The first option is already so tempting.

Then wouldn’t the second option be more surprising?
He couldn’t wait to hear Lin Chenran’s next plan.

Lin Chenran smiled slightly, thinking to himself: ”Kovlevich, fall into the trap I designed in advance!”

His eyes flashed with cunning and confidence. Lin Chenran continued, ”The second option is that I will give you 50 million US dollars, and you will negotiate on my behalf.”

His voice was low and firm, revealing an unquestionable determination.

”Kovlevich, if the price you negotiate is lower than 50 million US dollars, the rest of the money will be yours.” Lin Chenran’s words were full of temptation.

”In other words, if you spend 760 million U.S. dollars to help me get the 12-horsepower four-stroke V-46-cylinder V- diesel engine from the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau, the remaining million U.S. dollars will be your labor fee.” Lin Chenran explained in detail so that Kovlevich could clearly understand this tempting proposal.

”If you can get it for 10 million US dollars, then 40 million US dollars will be yours too.” Lin Chenran further emphasized the huge benefits, which made Kovlevich’s heart pound.

Lin Chenran expressed his attitude instantly, showing his decisiveness and resolve.

His eyes were as sharp as an eagle’s, staring closely at Kovlevich, as if trying to see through his eyes into his innermost thoughts.

Suddenly, Kovlevich’s eyes became hot and he swallowed unconsciously.

His heart beat faster, blood rushed to his face, and he could hardly hide his excitement.

He was deeply attracted by the conditions proposed by Lin Chenran.

I have already started thinking about how to accomplish this seemingly impossible task.

If 760 million US dollars can really help Lin Chenran get a 12-horsepower four-stroke V-46-cylinder V- diesel engine, then million US dollars will become the money for him to make arrangements and his labor fee.

”This……”

This is an enormous fortune.

If he helps Lin Chenran acquire the 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine from the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau with million US dollars, he can get million US dollars in labor fees.

When the profit reaches 10%, someone is ready to move;
When the profit reaches 50%, some people dare to take the risk;
……

When the profit reaches 300%, there is no fear even of going to the gallows.

This is human nature!
When it comes to playing with human nature, Lin Chenran is an unrivaled master.

Kovlevich was deeply attracted by what Lin Chenran said.

Now he felt that it was a pipe dream for Lin Chenran to want the 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine in the hands of the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau.

He thought to himself: ”Sure enough, Lin Chenran doesn’t fight a battle without preparation.”

”Fifty million US dollars! I have never fought such a rich battle in my entire life.”

Kovlevich did not agree.

But I didn’t refuse!
Kovlevich needs to find his superior Comrade Davari who shares the same ”ideas” as him to discuss the matter.

Lin Chenran saw Kovlevich’s answer and thought to himself: ”It’s stable!”

This time, Lin Chenran directly threw out a huge temptation. He didn’t believe that Kovlevich and Davari, who shared the same “same mind” with him, would not be tempted!
One job can equal their efforts many times over.

Moreover, this 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine is not the most advanced tank engine technology.
