Chapter 71 Agree to sell 760 hp tank engineChapter 71 Agree to sell 760 hp tank engine

Kovlevich was surprised for a moment.

He frowned and muttered to himself: The second option involves risks.

If our superiors knew that we were selling the country’s advanced technology at such a low price, they would be met with cold bullets.

In particular, Kovlevich was very afraid that the KGB or other domestic agencies would know about this, and then everything would be over.

So Kovlevich immediately told Leo Gago about his concerns.

However, Leo Gago laughed disapprovingly: ”Kovlevich, let me tell you something.”

”The organization that betrayed the national interests the most was the KGB.”

”They have been engaging in secret transactions with capitalist countries in Eastern Europe, without caring about national interests or the well-being of their people.”

Kovlevich was so surprised that he couldn’t close his mouth: ”This...”

Leo Gago continued: ”As the domestic economy continued to decline, a group of senior officials began to look for a way out.”

”The KGB agent organization that can connect with other countries naturally becomes their most convenient channel.”

”These people used their power and resources to conduct various shady deals with the other side and gained huge personal benefits from it.”

Kovlevich widened his eyes, unable to believe what he saw.

Although he had heard some rumors about the KGB secret service in Europe before, he always thought that it was just malicious propaganda from other foreign countries.

Now the truth that Kovlevich learned from Leo Gago shocked him.

”General, then we...”

Kovlevich couldn’t help but ask Leo Gago again whether he wanted to do this.

”Kovlevich, you will be responsible for connecting with the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau. Set the price at 20 million US dollars first.”

”I will discuss this matter with my superiors.”

”We sold the outdated technology to others, and then used the huge amount of funds we received to support the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau, allowing them to upgrade and optimize the existing tank engine technology.”

Leo Gago said with a righteous look,

It seems that all decisions are made in the interests of the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau and the country.

But actually?
Of course, that is to satisfy personal interests!
With just a little manipulation, you can easily earn huge profits of millions or even tens of millions of US dollars.

Now that the ruble-dollar exchange rate has plummeted, Leo Gago has to make plans for his future retirement life.

You also have to make plans for your wife, children and the elderly.

Now Leo Gago’s youngest daughter is studying abroad in Europe and needs a lot of financial support.

At this moment, Leo Gago fully understands the truth that if a man does not work for himself, he will be punished by heaven and earth.

After hearing this, Kovlevich finally felt relieved. As long as Leo Gago and the senior executives were there to support him, Kovlevich had nothing to fear.

This is the power of the Davari family!
”Okay, General Gago, I know what to do.” Kovlevich patted his chest and responded in a firm tone.

”Kovlevich, this is just the beginning. There will be more opportunities for cooperation waiting for us.” Leo Gago’s eyes flashed with a gleam of brilliance. ”As long as you can perform well, your future prospects will be limitless.”

Kovlevich looked at Leo Gago with excitement, nodded heavily and said: ”Thank you General for your trust and support. I will definitely not let you down!”

Leo Gago nodded with satisfaction, and then said: ”Don’t worry, Kovlevich, we will never get involved in your interests.”

Leo Gago knows very well that ”If you want a horse to run, you must feed it grass.” (Except for the garbage bosses in Yan Country, they just want the horse to run, not feed it grass, they just want cattle and horses that don’t eat grass!!!)

Upon hearing this, Kovlevich burst into tears of gratitude and said, ”Thank you very much, General! Without you, I would not be who I am today. I will always remember your kindness.”

Leo Gago smiled slightly and thought to himself: ”This Kovlevich is really good. He is not only smart and capable, but also knows how to be grateful. Such a person is worth cultivating and can become my confidant.”

”It’s worth it that I recommended him to become the Chief of Staff of the Far East Fleet!!!” Thinking of this, a gratified smile appeared on Leo Gago’s face.

He believed that with the help of talents like Kovlevich, he would be able to obtain endless wealth.

”Go ahead and make arrangements!”

Leo Gago looked at Kovlevich with a smile on his face.

Kovlevich did not dare to be negligent and quickly replied respectfully: ”Yes, General Gago, I will contact the people from the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau right away.”

After saying that, Kovlevich tactfully left Leo Gago’s office, his steps brisk and quick, and the smile on his lips betrayed him!
He was in a very happy mood at this moment.

……

As time went by, Lin Chenran kept an eye on Kovlevich’s movements.

When he learned that Kovlevich was not at the Far Eastern Fleet’s base, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He knew that Kovlevich’s departure meant that things were developing in the direction he expected, so a smile instantly spread across his face, and he thought to himself: ”It’s settled!”

Six days later, Lin Chenran led a group of senior executives of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal and happily came to the small western-style building purchased by Kovlevich.

Kovlevich had been waiting for a long time. When he saw them arrive, he immediately greeted and entertained everyone warmly.

After some pleasantries and greetings, Kovlevich went straight to the point and said to Lin Chenran and others without any ambiguity: ”Davri, I have fulfilled my mission. I have helped you to establish a relationship with the Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau.”

”The top management of the Uralvagonzavod Design Bureau is willing to sell the technology and production line related to the 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine.”

Hearing this, Lin Chenran’s face, which was already red from drinking, became even redder. He was so excited that he stood up from his chair, leaned forward, supported his hands on the table, stared at Kovlevich and asked, ”Kovlevich, is this true?”

Seeing Lin Chenran so excited, Kovlevich’s mouth curled up slightly and he smiled. He nodded and said, ”That’s right, Lin. The Ural Locomotive and Rolling Stock Plant Design Bureau agrees to sell it.”

Hearing Kovlevich’s confirmation, Lin Chenran felt ecstatic. He knew that this negotiation might be successful.

But at this moment, Kovlevich spoke again: ”But the price...”
