Chapter 66 Lin Chenran: Grandpa, please call me Director Lin when you are working.Chapter 66 Lin Chenran: Grandpa, please call me Director Lin when you are working.
Lin Chenran rushed to the imperial capital with a tired look on his face, looking a little dusty.

This time, they were traveling back to the capital with a group of senior executives from the 077 Mechanical Military Factory. Considering their status, it was not suitable for them to take the train, so they chose to drive back.

Just arrived in the imperial capital, Lin Chenran first arranged accommodation for the senior executives of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

Then he decided to go home first to find out why the old man in the family asked him to come back in such a hurry.

Amid everyone’s surprised gazes, Lin Chenran got into a Red Flag sedan with a military license plate.

Watching the car go away, the senior executives of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory all had a question in their minds: Is the background and support of their factory director really so powerful?
As soon as he arrived in the imperial capital, someone came to pick him up in a military-licensed car.

In the car, Lin Chenran couldn’t help but ask He Yi who was driving: ”Brother Yi, why is grandpa so anxious to ask you to pick me up? What’s going on?”

He Yi shook his head, indicating that he didn’t know either.

He only received instructions from the old man, asking him to pick up Lin Chenran as soon as possible, but he did not tell him the specific reason.

Finally returning to the familiar home, Lin Chenran walked straight to Grandpa Lin’s study without any hesitation.

”Knock knock knock!”

Lin Chenran stretched out his hand and gently knocked on the door of the study.

He knew that at this moment, Mr. Lin was working inside.

After a while, Mr. Lin’s low and majestic voice came from the study: ”Come in!”

Hearing this familiar voice, Lin Chenran immediately felt relieved and secretly thanked God that he did not disturb his grandfather from working.

So he carefully pushed open the study door and walked in with big strides.

As soon as he entered the study, Lin Chenran saw Mr. Lin sitting at the desk, concentrating on handling various matters.

His eyes were as sharp as an eagle, and his face was filled with majesty and confidence.

Lin Chenran walked quickly to the desk and greeted Old Man Lin respectfully: ”Grandpa!”

When Mr. Lin heard the voice, he immediately put down the documents in his hand, raised his head, and his eyes fell on his grandson who looked haggard.

His brows were slightly furrowed, but soon relaxed again, revealing a caring smile: ”Xiao Linzi, you’ve worked hard all the way, sit down!”

Lin Chenran nodded and responded politely: ”Thank you, Grandpa!”

Then, he sat down at the desk without hesitation, waiting for Mr. Lin’s next ”instructions”.

Grandpa Lin looked at his grandson’s slightly tired face and couldn’t help laughing: ”You kid, you are still so reserved in front of grandpa!”

Lin Chenran scratched his head helplessly and said awkwardly: ”Grandpa, I dare not act rashly. You are my leader, of course I have to respect you.”

Old Master Lin smiled and shook his head, with a hint of ridicule in his tone: ”You kid, why are you still following the rules in front of your grandfather? This is home, not the army. At home, you are my grandson, there is no need to be so restrained.”

After hearing what his grandfather said, Lin Chenran felt warm in his heart.

He understood that no matter where he was, his grandfather was the person closest to him and his strongest support.

But he still replied seriously: ”Chief, when discussing official business, please use titles!!!”

Immediately, Mr. Lin burst into laughter: ”You kid!”

After joking, Lin Chenran and Old Man Lin began to discuss seriously.

”Did the Apocalypse tanks produced by the 077 Mechanical Military Factory really sell to the Saudi Kingdom in the Camel Region for million US dollars?” Old Master Lin wanted to get a definite answer from Lin Chenran.

Lin Chenran nodded and answered firmly, ”Yes, that’s the price.” He went on to explain, ”This is already a very favorable price. For the first country to invest in our Apocalypse tanks, Saudi Arabia in the Camel Region, we have given certain preferential policies.”

Lin Chenran paused and continued, ”In the future, when we export top-notch Apocalypse tanks to other countries, the price will be raised to 1.75 million US dollars per tank.”

In fact, the factory price of the Apocalypse Tank is about two million Yanbi (about one million US dollars).

However, due to the higher cost of basalt special steel, the overall construction cost increased.

”Then our military...”

Before Grandpa Lin finished speaking, he was interrupted by Lin Chenran. He waved his hand helplessly and said, ”Grandpa, you also know the situation of our 077 Mechanical Military Factory. Now our Apocalypse tanks cost two million Yan coins, which has already been paid to your military including the workers’ wages.”

”This is the maximum price we can afford. If the price is lowered further, our 077 Machinery Arsenal will only suffer greater losses.”

”Because we take national interests and national defense security into consideration, we set the price of the Apocalypse tanks for the military to purchase at two million Yan coins. Otherwise, two million Yan coins would definitely not be enough to buy one Apocalypse tank.”

”On top of the Apocalypse tank, our 077 Mechanical Military Factory is already paying money to your military?”

He looked at Mr. Lin, his eyes gleaming with determination, ”Grandpa, the military needs to understand our difficulties.”

”We need to maintain a certain profit to keep the factory running and growing.”

”Otherwise, not only will production efficiency fail to improve, but it may also lead to a series of problems such as worker unemployment and stagnation of technological research and development?”

A military factory must make a profit in order to survive and set aside part of its funds for research and development.

Mr. Lin was silent for a moment, finally sighed and nodded in approval.

He understood that everything Lin Chenran said was true, and they really couldn’t ask for too much.

Although the military hopes to reduce procurement costs, it also has to take into account the actual situation and future development of the factory.

Since the price of the Apocalypse tank will not change in the early stage, Mr. Lin didn’t say much.

”Grandpa, you get what you pay for. The Apocalypse tank is expensive for a reason.”

”After our Apocalypse tanks come off the production line, we will use them to compete with the Russian T72 tanks. Your military will definitely think it’s worth it after seeing it.”

Lin Chenran said calmly.

He is very confident about the Apocalypse Tank.

Mr. Lin admitted that the Apocalypse tank is an excellent tank.

Mainly thanks to the guarantee of the special basalt steel, the lower limit of the Apocalypse tank has been guaranteed.

The armor-piercing shells fired by the Russian T72 tank at a distance of 100 meters cannot penetrate the mm basalt special steel.

Now the minimum thickness of the Apocalypse Tank has reached 150mm.

Apocalypse Tank: ”T72 tank, what are you going to use to hit me!!!”

Old Master Lin nodded and said, ”Boy, not long ago, the superior leaders made a decision and the previously signed contract for 100 Apocalypse tanks remains unchanged.”

”Really?”

Lin Chenran originally thought that the Yan State military would reduce some of the orders for Apocalypse tanks.
