Chapter 56: Basalt Steel: The small T72 tank can be easily controlled!Chapter 56: Basalt Steel: The small T72 tank can be easily controlled!
Everyone at the scene believed that at a distance of twenty meters, the Russian T72 tank would most likely be able to penetrate the ”basalt” steel of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

After all, the ”basalt” steel plate used for testing this time is only 100mm thick.

The armor-piercing shell just fired by the T72 tank at a distance of fifty meters created a relatively small ”dent” in the ”Basalt” steel plate.

Seeing the expressions and attitudes on everyone’s faces, Lin Chenran smiled slightly: ”Everyone thinks that the basalt steel plates manufactured by our 077 Mechanical Military Factory can’t withstand the armor-piercing bullets of the T72 tanks of the Russian bear at a distance of meters?”

Abdul on the side has the most say, because Saudi Arabia in the Camel area has the Soviet Union’s T72 tanks, so he is very clear about the strength of this main battle tank.

He frowned and said helplessly: ”Lin, it’s not that I don’t trust your factory’s basalt steel, but you underestimated the strength of the T72 tank of the Russian bear.”

After saying that, he sighed softly.

Abdul shook his head. He felt that Lin Chenran was a little too confident.

The others present also nodded in agreement. They all felt that Lin Chenran did not seem to fully understand the power of the Russian T72 tank.

Faced with such doubts, Lin Chenran still kept smiling, and his eyes revealed a kind of determination and confidence.

”Abdul, let’s make a bet!”

Lin Chenran raised the corners of his mouth, revealing a confident smile.

”bet?”

When Abdul heard this, an expression of confusion and curiosity immediately appeared on his face.

Lin Chenran looked at Abdul and said firmly, ”That’s right, it’s a bet. If the T72 tank can penetrate the basalt steel plate produced by our 077 Mechanical Military Factory by firing armor-piercing shells at a distance of meters, then I will treat you to a meal of the most authentic Yan country cuisine.”

”On the other hand, if I can’t penetrate it, you have to treat me to a camel feast when I go to the Sand Country in your camel area.” Lin Chenran made this interesting bet with anticipation in his eyes.

”This”

Abdul’s eyes widened and his mouth was opened in surprise.

He didn’t expect that the bet Lin Chenran mentioned was actually a sumptuous gourmet meal.

”Of course, no problem. Even if there is no bet, as long as you come to our country, I will definitely treat you warmly and invite you to taste our local specialty food - camel feast!”

Abdul responded generously.

At the same time, he clenched his fists tightly and gently pounded his chest.

Lin Chenran smiled slightly and explained: ”No, betting is more meaningful. After all, this is the prize, and I earned it myself.”

Abdul suddenly understood and nodded in praise: ”Haha, Lin, you are right! The lottery you earn yourself is meaningful.”

Lin Chenran nodded with satisfaction: ”Then it’s a deal. I hope you can prepare a sumptuous camel feast for my arrival.”

Abdul retorted without hesitation: ”Lin, I haven’t lost yet! It’s possible that you have to prepare the most authentic Yan country cuisine for me.”

Then he raised one hand, and Lin Chenran did the same, and then the two of them high-fived each other.

Both sides were very happy!
Why did Lin Chenran make a bet with Abdul?

You must have your own plans!
Isn’t it just to enhance the relationship between the two?
This little thought is definitely necessary.

When everyone at the scene saw the two people making a bet, they all had their own plans in mind!
Especially the top executives of the 617 Mechanical Arsenal.

After all, the Camel Region is the big money sponsor of the Saudi Kingdom!
If a little bit of money can be leaked out, the 617 Mechanical Military Factory can survive more smoothly.

Suddenly, the sound of an explosion interrupted everyone’s imagination, and they all turned their eyes to target No. 3.

Twenty meters away, the T72 tank’s gun barrel spurted out a ball of flame and smoke, followed by an armor-piercing shell that flew out at an extremely fast speed and hit target No. 3 in the blink of an eye. Immediately afterwards, a violent explosion occurred, and thick smoke billowed up.

Seeing this scene, Lin Chenran smiled slightly, and his words revealed confidence: ”The answer will be revealed soon!”

Everyone at the 077 Mechanical Arsenal, who were originally very nervous, were also ”infected” by Lin Chenran’s light words, and their inner impatience and tension disappeared instantly.

In an instant, they all felt that the basalt steel they developed could withstand the armor-piercing bullets fired by the Soviet T72 tanks.

After a while, the thick smoke produced by the explosion gradually dissipated.

Everyone picked up their telescopes and stared at target No. 3.

I saw the steel needle of the armor-piercing projectile fired by the T72 tank ”stuck” on the basalt steel plate.

When Abdul saw this scene, the corners of his mouth unconsciously rose slightly, revealing a faint smile. That smile seemed to carry a kind of pride and complacency of a winner, as if he had already announced his victory in advance.

He turned his head and looked at Lin Chenran, his eyes flashing with pride. He smiled and said to Lin Chenran, ”Lin, it looks like I won the bet between us in the end.”

After saying this, he added: ”I am very much looking forward to the authentic Yan Country dinner you have prepared.”

However, Lin Chenran was not affected by Abdul’s words, he still maintained a calm expression.

He smiled and responded: ”Abdul, my friend, why are you so confident? Do you really think I will lose?”

Abdul was puzzled: ”Isn’t it?”

”The steel needles of the armor-piercing bullets are all ’stuck’ on target No. 3.”

Indeed, the front end of the steel needle of the armor-piercing projectile fired by the T72 tank was ”stuck” on target No. 3, but everything was not over yet.

”Abdul, although the steel needle is stuck on the basalt steel plate and has created a large dent, it is still unknown whether it has penetrated.” Lin Chenran said confidently.

”This...” Abdul hesitated.

Although the steel needle at the front end of the armor-piercing bullet is ”stuck” on target No. 3, it is not yet known whether it has penetrated.

The audience seats are quite far from Shooting Range No. 3.

The final result can only be announced by the reporter.

Soon, the target reporter said in a calm voice: ”The T72 tank fired an armor-piercing projectile at a distance of 3 meters. The front steel needle got stuck on target No. and exploded violently, creating a large dent and a bulge at the rear, but it did not penetrate.”

Following the target reporter’s report, everyone cheered and then thunderous applause broke out from the audience.

The applause was like a torrent, drowning the entire venue.

At a distance of twenty meters, the armor-piercing shells fired by the Russian T72 tanks failed to penetrate the 077mm basalt steel developed by the 100 Mechanical Military Factory.

If the Russians knew about this, how would they feel?

……

Abdul, who had just returned from the experimental site, was still immersed in the test experiment just completed.

The results of the test were far beyond Abdul’s expectations.

”Lin, we want to import tanks covered with basalt steel plates!!!”
