Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 47 Returning to the Villa

Chapter 47 Returning to the Villa
The firepower of the defense facilities should not be underestimated. It didn’t take long for the zombies and swarms on the ground to be cleaned up.

Even the titan worms poking their heads out of the tunnel were sizzling from the crimson flames.

In the end, the wailing and howling of these alien creatures gradually dissipated in the overwhelming sound of artillery.

Seeing the situation outside, Sim and others finally breathed a sigh of relief, and the soldiers beside them also put down their guns.

But even so, they were still in shock.

The scene in front of me was a bit unreal. In just a few minutes, the situation on the battlefield changed dramatically.

All alien creatures were wiped out, and the weapon tower on the wall of the villa stopped fighting and automatically retracted into the base of the tower.

After the flames in the base were gradually extinguished, Lin Ye turned around and patted Sim’s arm:
”I’ll talk about the specifics later, you guys go back to the refuge with me first, and take a good rest!”

The main building of the communication facility where they are currently located has lost power supply and looks extremely dim.

And apart from the dilapidated sofas and dusty tables, chairs and benches, there is no other place to rest.

There are also several armored vehicles downstairs, which ”survived” in the flames of war.

The soldiers wanted to go to the villa by car, but they were stopped by Lin Ye with a wave:
”Just walk there, there is no place for armored vehicles...”

He transformed half of the garage located on the second basement floor of the villa into a teleportation array to connect to the surface.

Therefore, the remaining space is not very large, and it is a problem to stuff a few ordinary off-road vehicles.

It seems that upgrading the garage is also added to the plan.

While thinking about the upgrade plan, Lin Ye led everyone out of the main building of the communication facility and headed all the way to the villa.

When more than a dozen heavily armed soldiers poured into the courtyard, the equipment boxes all over the floor made it impossible for them to walk.

The villa also suddenly became noisy.

The number of residents on the floating island has doubled several times, from the original four to 17.

Although the addition of Sim and others is quite different from the original plan.

But judging from the results, this may not be a bad thing.

After all, they solved the shortage of manpower on the floating island to a large extent, and they also played a certain role in helping the future development of this military base.

Of course, as long as there are no traitors among these people, then everything is easy to talk about!

Lin Ye led everyone into the living room. Fortunately, after the floating island was fully upgraded, the main building of the villa was also expanded and became large enough to accommodate so many people.

He pointed to the piles of cans around him, and said in a rather casual tone:

”I only have canned food here, so I can take whatever flavor I like, eat as much as I want, and put the bottled mineral water on the other side.”

Halfway through the speech, he found that all the soldiers were looking at him with shock in their eyes.

The weapons and equipment in the courtyard have already made these soldiers doubt their eyes.

But the hundreds of boxes of food supplies in the living room and dining room made them doubt their lives.

A question could not help but arise in my heart:
What is the identity of this Huaguo, who can have so many resources!
”Holy shit! Is this real?”

Major Sim opened the cardboard box on the side, looked at the full box of canned meat, and couldn’t help exclaiming.

”Lin Ye, didn’t you say that there is a lack of supplies, but the food here can keep everyone eating for a long time!”

”Are there many of these?” Lin Ye knocked on the cardboard box and asked back.

”How long do you think the doomsday catastrophe will last, one year or two years?”

”Uh, this...” Major Sim froze in place, his excited expression gradually froze.

Lin Ye didn’t care about his feelings, and said sternly again:

”The reason why Military Base No. 11 fell was because of insufficient supplies!
At the last moment, the garrison in the base even endured hunger, taking great risks to rob the resources of the armed organization! ”

These words were like thunder in the ears, exploding in Major Sim’s ears.

What he had experienced from just now to now was so shocking that it actually made him forget the sense of crisis in the apocalypse.

He withdrew his hand, bowed his head and sighed silently.

At this time, with Qin Lie’s support, Hassan with a broken leg was limping into the living room.

But when he saw the scene in front of him, he rushed up directly regardless of his leg injury, lying on the box and speaking hometown slang.

Even though he doesn’t know Chinese, he has at least seen the canned food pattern on the box.

After all, he has been eating this kind of food every day since he entered the cataclysm. Although the canned chickpeas are extremely hard to swallow every time, in order to survive, he can only eat the juice and scum without leaving a drop .

Hassan stretched out his hand, grabbed Qin Lie’s arm behind him, and said excitedly:

”It turns out that what you told me is true, and there are really endless cans!”

”I can still lie to you, don’t just look at it, eat two cans to replenish some energy!” Qin Lie said to the crowd.

At the same time, he reached out and took out a can from the cardboard box in front of Sim, and pried off the lid neatly with a short knife.

I don’t know if the happiness appeared too suddenly, the Erikan soldiers, including Major Sim, all stared at each other blankly.

Facing the canned food in front of him, he couldn’t bear to speak.

But this guy Qin Lie really ate too deliciously, and after a while, the smell of meat filled the air in the living room.

Sim’s throat slid, and the saliva constantly secreted from his mouth fired the first shot of the battle.

”Then I’m welcome!”

After finishing speaking, he picked up the fork on the table, forked the small piece of hoof that was covered with oil in the can, and put it directly into his mouth.

Compared with Hassan, who ate chickpeas every day, Sim and the others had a better life.

In any case, the Erikan Army’s emergency self-heating rations are all high-calorie foods with a combination of meat and vegetables.

But no matter how rich the varieties are, they are all tasteless, without any taste at all.

Moreover, the meat grains hidden in the food are salty and unpalatable, and they probably won’t take a second look at them if they are thrown in front of the zombies.

In two or three strokes, Sim ate up the canned braised trotter in his hand. The soft and delicate taste of the pigskin was still lingering on the tip of his tongue, and the soft, rotten, salty and sweet muscle fibers were still exuding an aftertaste between his teeth.

In the apocalypse, being able to eat these things will indeed make people feel at ease.

His body and mind were also temporarily relaxed under the healing of the canned meat in just a few minutes.

It seems that everything that happened this morning, and the previous battle with armed bandits, has all disappeared.

Sim put down the empty can, turned to look at the soldiers behind him, and their faces were filled with long-lost smiles.

Blood color finally appeared on his pale and blue face due to many days of toil.

At this time, Lin Ye came out of the kitchen, holding a dozen beers in his hand: ”There are other kinds of canned food beside me, so take whatever you want!”

While speaking, he focused his eyes, and Sim’s attribute panel appeared in his sight:
[Follower: Maxim]

【Age: 37】

[Physique: 14[+2]]

【Strength: 13[+2]】

【Wisdom: 10[+2]】

【Command: 21[+2]】

[Occupation: None]

[Skills: None at the moment]

Hey, as expected of a major, the command attribute is so high!

If soldiers join in later, it is estimated that they can be handed over to him to manage.

”呲”

Lin Ye opened the tab of the aluminum can and took two gulps of frothy beer to celebrate the surprise he got today.

But when he looked at the thirteen extra people in [Resident Information], he was really confused.

Only Sim agreed, and all the soldiers under him automatically joined the floating island.

And the No. 8 military base he once administered was also integrated with the floating island.

Especially the miraculous function of ”simultaneous jurisdiction”, which was the first time he heard of it in three months.

This function cannot be described as heaven-defying, if it is synchronized with a large base later.

Isn’t that a direct takeoff?
