Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 44 The situation is critical

Chapter 44 The situation is critical

Standing on the fence, Lin Ye looked at the huge creature approaching from a distance, and began to think quickly about countermeasures.

Staying in this base will definitely not survive tonight. Although they have heavy weapons here, which can cause certain damage to alien creatures, these hot weapons have a common fatal shortcoming, that is, the remaining ammunition.

If the remaining ammunition determines the direction of the situation, then they are not far from the group’s destruction.

Therefore, Lin Ye had to work out a perfect evacuation plan.

However, the actual situation is far more critical than he imagined.

Those titan worms didn’t come alone. A large number of zombies and bug swarms rushed out of the passages they dug, and quickly formed a battle line to surround the military base.

Judging from this situation, even if Lin Ye and the others are allowed to break through with all their strength, it is impossible to retreat completely.

Unless, he can use system capabilities recklessly!
But in this way, Major Sim and the soldiers who followed him will discover the secret he hides.

Just as he was hesitating, the area on the right side of the communication facility suddenly shook violently, and then dust was raised several meters high, and white smoke emerged from under the gravel.

Seeing this scene, Lin Ye leaned against the explosion-proof wall, picked up the radio communication equipment and shouted:
”Be careful! Come over there...”

But before he could finish his sentence, a huge adult titan worm came out of the ground with gravel all over the sky.

It directly crushed the small fortification on the east side of the base with its huge body, and the soldiers hiding inside were smashed to the ground together with the broken blast-proof wall.

Before the matter was over, it squirmed its body again and moved forward more than ten meters in an instant.

Then he raised his huge head, opened his mouth and swallowed the sentry tower next to him, along with the concrete base on the ground.

The five soldiers who stayed there had no chance to escape.

The steel plates wrapping the sentry tower were twisted and deformed, trapping them in a small room.

Then, together with the wreckage of the building, it was dissolved in strong acid and turned into rising white smoke.

At the same time, dozens of hundreds of black figures sprang out of the passage.

That is the third-order zombie-stalker.

Like uncaged beasts, they stood on the gravel and let out a piercing scream, then quickly rushed to the fortifications on the south side of the base.

Those soldiers hadn’t dealt with this type of enemy before, and they were too fast to aim at.

The gun held tightly in his hand could once wipe out everything, but now it is no different from a fire stick.

They could only shoot wildly, trying to scare off these alien creatures.

However, these stalkers are not only extremely fast, but also possess high intelligence.

Moreover, they obtained information on human technology from nowhere, and they even had a certain understanding of those firearms that spit out flames.

More than a dozen stalkers rushed to the front of the fortifications quickly while the soldiers were reloading, passed through the shooting hole and grabbed the barrel of the gun, and at the same time swung their hard front claws, cutting the gun from the barrel.

The fortification where the soldiers were located was actually just a low sentry post surrounded by a simple explosion-proof wall filled with sand, and the inside was still a marching tent.

In front of the stalkers, this sentry post has no defense at all.

They leaped a few meters, climbed to the top of the tent through the explosion-proof wall, then swung their forelimbs and directly tore through the tarpaulin, and got into the interior of the sentry post.

In a panic, the soldiers drew out their pistols and fired at the invading alien creatures, but quickly emptied the magazines.

The narrow space made it impossible for the stalkers to stretch their bodies, and they suffered a lot of injuries in the hail of bullets.

But the physical strength of high-level zombie creatures is unmatched by those low-level zombies, especially their self-healing ability.

Not long after, the deformed bullet was pushed out of the bullet hole by the newborn body, and the wound on his body healed quickly.

Without weapons, the five soldiers in the sentry were like fish on a chopping board, being slaughtered by alien creatures.

Accompanied by screams, some soldiers were disemboweled and limp on the ground, letting them chew.

Others were directly pierced through the chest, with plasma gushing out of their mouths, and died on the spot.

The screams here have not stopped, and there are also many brutal stalkers around the fortifications on the north side of the communication facility.

Lin Ye, who observed this situation, disregarded the dissuasion of Qin Lie next to him, directly carried the shotgun over the explosion-proof wall, and rushed to the north side of the fortification.

Stalkers move extremely quickly, and it is difficult for humans to capture their movement tracks without the help of specific equipment.

But Lin Ye has all the memories of his previous life, and he knows the weaknesses of alien creatures like the back of his hand. The stalkers who died in his hands did not have seven figures, let alone six figures.

When it was about to approach the fortification, the first stalker reacted. It gave up attacking the tent, turned around and rushed to Lin Ye, waving its forelimbs to cut off his head.

Lin Ye seized the opportunity to lower his waist to avoid the attack, then took the induction grenade from the tactical vest, and stuffed it into its mouth.

A few seconds later, the entire ugly head was blown to pieces, and the companions around it also suffered a lot of injuries.

At the same time, the second stalker went around to the back, trying to launch a sneak attack.

But before he could launch an attack, he stabbed him in the chest sideways, and then used his inertia to directly disembowel him.

After it staggered and fell to the ground, he shot a few more holes in it with a shotgun to prevent it from reviving.

The remaining stalkers who surrounded them were all beheaded by Lin Ye one by one.

The surrounding threats were temporarily eliminated, and he quickly took the few surviving soldiers, preparing to return to the ring fortification under the cover of others.

The soldiers, who were still in shock, followed him and wanted to say thanks, but at this moment, several groups of UFOs appeared in the sky, following a parabola, and landed right around Lin Ye and his party.

Those zombies turned out to be huddled together. They were roughly squeezed together, and their bodies were deformed.

As for the zombies on the periphery, many of them died when they landed, and were even smashed into flesh, which shows how amazing the thrower’s strength is.

The remaining zombies quickly got up from the ground, screaming and rushed towards the fortification.

It seems that because this strategy has worked, more and more throwers have begun to exert force.

A large number of zombies were thrown into the center of the base. They hit the wall of the main building of the communication facility accurately, or fell around the communication facility like a goddess scattering flowers.

Although these are low-level zombies, once the number increases, it will be very difficult to deal with.

The people in the circular fortifications were tired of coping, so they had no choice but to abandon this place and retreat to the main building of the communication facility.

As soon as Major Sim led everyone out of that place, the Titan Worm came out from the ground, and the entire circular fortification was blown up, the blast-proof walls connected together were broken, and the sand filled in it poured out towards the surroundings. down.

And parked around the fortifications to suppress the heavy tanks with firepower, they were also thrown a hundred meters away by these huge alien creatures.

After rolling several times in a row, in the flames of deflagration, it was completely turned into scrap iron.

Lin Ye didn’t have time to care so much, he was still running with the surviving soldiers all the way, but when he returned to the communication facility as planned, the distance was less than [-] meters away.

The ground suddenly shook violently, and he stumbled and almost fell out.

He had just stabilized his figure, and before he had time to check the specific situation, an extremely huge titan worm lifted its body from the sand dunes beside him.

Compared with the adult titan worms next to it, it was like a loach meeting a giant python.

It opened its bloody mouth wide, and all the barbs that were nearly [-] centimeters long on the inner wall of the mouthparts stood upright.

Lin Ye and others couldn’t dodge in time, and they were about to be swallowed by it.

Suddenly, there was a loud noise that shook the sky and the earth from the roof of the villa behind him.
