Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 3 The Planned Encounter

Chapter 3 The Planned Encounter

After breakfast, Lin Ye began to organize his equipment and prepare for a long trip.

In the past few months, he would just walk around nearby and say hello to the friendly zombies.

But today is an important day.

In this rebirth, he wants to recruit some people who have awakened special abilities.

These people either made great achievements in the previous life, or encountered a crisis and unfortunately fell.

And what Lin Ye has to do is to provide a perfect development environment, so that they can completely release the power of the book itself.

The person he was going to pick up today was at the top of the recruitment plan. His name was Qin Lie, and he was a very legendary man.

In the last life, this person conquered a vast territory in ten years with only his own fists, and was dubbed the title of ”God of War” by the world.

Among the new humans rising in the era of catastrophe, there are many guys with superior abilities than Qin Lie, but Lin Ye is the most optimistic about him.

Because this man has a unique and special physique: the balance of all things.

With the blessing of this physique, Qin Lie was always a [-]-[-] opponent no matter who he fought.

Moreover, the stronger the enemies and the greater their number, the higher the increase in strength brought by his special physique.

No matter what race, no matter how tall or short, fat or thin, whether male or female, old or young, there is no possibility of winning in front of him.

In his previous life, Lin Ye specially sent his cronies to investigate Qin Lie.

Knowing that his ability was triggered within three months of the catastrophe, a special condition was triggered, and he finally successfully awakened to the present world.

Therefore, this is another reason why Lin Ye developed in secret for several months.

If Qin Lie is recruited to join the team too early and the triggering conditions are interfered with, he may never be able to awaken his special physique again.

It is the most regrettable thing to lose such a powerful combat force in the last days.

Lin Ye put on his tactical uniform and mechanical exoskeleton, carried the equipment box, and took the elevator to the garage on the second underground floor.

The garage has not been upgraded by him, and currently only two cars can be parked.

However, it is now full of a silver-gray off-road vehicle.

This vehicle is called the Paramount Predator, and to some extent it can also be called an ordinary civilian armored vehicle. It is nicknamed the Land Steel Behemoth, and it is worth [-] survival points in the system mall.

Of course, Lin Ye didn’t buy this car on a whim, but ”picked it up” by accident on the highway one day when he was searching for resources.

It was originally going to be sent to the exhibition center in the northern district of Yancheng to participate in the auto show, but it happened to be hit by a catastrophe, and the driver in charge of the delivery ran away immediately.

When he found the car, it was sitting quietly on the wrecked delivery van.

The blast wave of the nuclear explosion that swept from the city center destroyed most of the vehicles on the road, but the looters only took off some car paint.

Because the body is also EMP protected, the internal precision components are not affected in any way, and it can almost be called second-hand ninety-nine new.

Although the fuel consumption is astonishing, fortunately, diesel is also sold in the system mall, with 7500 survival points per ton.

Expensive is a bit more expensive, but that’s the only way to do it now. After a while, the floating island will develop, and he won’t have to rely on the resources of the mall anymore.

Besides, every time you go out, you can bump and kill dozens of zombies along the way, and you can get back some of your money after going back and forth.

The scheduled location is thirty kilometers away, a medium-sized shopping mall in the West District of Yancheng, less than ten kilometers away from the blockade.

Lin Ye returned to the surface through the projection, and in less than 10 minutes, he drove all the way to the destination.

Equipped with guns and ammunition, he opened the door and got off the car, standing on the messy square and looking around.

You must know that this place used to be one of the most prosperous areas in Yancheng, but now it is dead silent.

Three months ago, when the first giant portal appeared on the surface, no one thought it would be a disaster.

The live video taken by local residents quickly became the hot search list on social platforms at that time.

However, everyone thought it was just a farce, just like the mysterious metal triangular prisms that appeared everywhere at that time.

This may be a deceptive trick deliberately hyped up by a certain crew in order to promote their own movie.

It may also be the special effects added by netizens themselves, just for grandstanding.

In short, people who eat melons in various countries are making fun of it, and even experts and bachelors don’t pay much attention to it.

After all, the silent appearance of a thousand-meter-high building on the surface of the earth is completely beyond human understanding.

However, within the next 5 minutes, the remaining eleven giant portals appeared one after another all over the world, especially the most densely populated large cities.

Sudden changes, as well as the raging radiation zombies, did not give humans any chance to react.

The global catastrophe began in a panic.

The powerful Wuchang can still organize troops to resist, but some small countries with insufficient firepower and no nuclear weapons have not been able to last even a week.

Regardless of previous life or this life, the result is the same.

Lin Ye recalled the news scene at that time, silently lit a cigarette, looked at the sundries flying in the wind, and slowly exhaled a puff of white mist.

At this time, a strange noise came from the mall building.

Lin Ye turned his head and found a large group of walking corpses locked in the revolving door.

These guys are different from the alien zombies outside.

Following Lin Ye’s gaze, a translucent data window unfolded in his sight:
[Faction: Zombies]

[Introduction: Human beings infected with the zombie virus and mutated are collectively referred to as walking corpses]

[Characteristics: Mutations in the shape of the body will evolve into organs of other realm creatures]

[Ability: devour any living thing other than the same kind, and spread the zombie virus through scratching and biting; high-level walking dead have wisdom, and can control low-level walking dead and zombies]

For the walking corpses of the same origin, fresh human beings are simply the best ingredients in the apocalypse.

But Lin Ye didn’t panic at all. He walked to the door with a shotgun in his hand, stood on the steps and twisted his body provocatively, and raised his gun from time to time to pretend to shoot.

And they can only slap the tempered glass, casting extremely longing eyes.

There are not many ways to obtain survival points in the doomsday fortress system. Currently, they can only be obtained by hunting system-designated creatures such as zombies.

For Lin Ye, the large abandoned shopping mall in front of him is a bank without identity verification!

However, he needs to wait a while before he can eat this piece of fat.

Because, his guests have arrived.

Lin Ye dusted off the cigarette ashes and turned his head to look into the distance.

A figure appeared in sight, walking slowly towards the square here.

Looking at the special energy field emanating from the opponent, Lin Ye’s eyes moved slightly.

As he expected, this guy’s special physique has been fully activated!

Qin Lie, who walked over from a distance, looked a little surprised. He didn’t expect to meet a living person in Yancheng City.

But in view of what happened a few days ago, he immediately put the hand holding the dagger across his chest and stared nervously at the person opposite.

Seeing this situation, Lin Ye didn’t react at all, but looked at the thin guy in front of him, feeling a little emotional.

He never expected that the brave and mighty God of War in his previous life would be so weak and desolate before he started from scratch.

His thoughts moved slightly, and the opponent’s attribute panel appeared in his sight.

【Stranger: Qin Lie】

【Age: 24】

[Physical: 12]

【Strength: 13】

【Wisdom: 6】

[Command: 9]

[Occupation: None]

[Skill: Balance of Everything LV.1]

(The average value of normal human attributes is 10)

The physique and strength are okay, but the intelligence attribute is only 6?

Although these data are only the reference values of the system, if they are rounded up, wouldn’t they be half-residual?
However, looking at his thick eyebrows, big eyes, and square face, he really looks like a 100% natural and honest person.

If you want to recruit this person, you will have to give him some time in the future.

There is no harm in keeping a little extra care in everything, especially in the last days.

Lin Ye closed the panel and took another rough look at the other party.

He suddenly found several blackened wounds on Qin Lie’s arm, and he knew at a glance that these were definitely the work of zombies.

No matter the mouthparts or claws of the irradiated zombies, they all carry a high concentration of zombie viruses, once infected, the consequences would be disastrous.

Sensing his gaze, Qin Lie immediately pulled off his sleeves to cover the wound, at the same time dodging his eyes, and said in a flustered tone:
”I accidentally fell on the ground, it will be fine in two days!”

”Good guy, how did you fall? It seems that the degree of difficulty is quite high!” Lin Ye nodded and teased, then suddenly changed his tone and continued:
”Being attacked by zombies, if you don’t take the time to treat it, you will become one of them. I think your seal is black, and you may die soon!”
