Chapter 27 Stephen King

Chapter 27 Stephen King
Lin Ye followed the convoy, twisting and turning among the ruins, all the way to the west of the city.

After about ten minutes, the convoy drove up a slope and finally stopped after passing through a simple wire fence gate.

Now in front of him is the base of the armed organization that Hassan said.

As soon as they arrived at their destination, people surrounded them and began to frantically beat on the predator’s outer armor.

Lin Ye could only open the car door, quickly jumped to the ground for inspection, and took this opportunity to look around.

He found that the area of the base was not large, but it was actually full of people.

Because it is located in the suburbs, the surrounding buildings were not destroyed by missiles, but collapsed under continuous strong earthquakes.

The first floor of some buildings has been completely preserved. Although there are some cracks, it can be used as a temporary residence with a little repair. At this time, many people poked their heads out of the doors and windows.

A few simple tents were set up on the open space in the center of the base. Looking through the open curtain, it was a place to store supplies and fuel.

While looking around, the bandits around took off all the equipment on him, even the Colt pistol hidden under the body armor was also pulled out.

And Qin Lie who was standing on the side was no exception, he seemed to see that this guy was too honest, the gangsters touched him up and down, inside and out.

In the gap between routine security checks, Lin Ye found a spot of light suddenly flashing in the northeast direction, that is, on the ruins of a building several hundred meters away from here.

It seemed that Cheng Bei and the others were already in place, and he felt much more at ease with the snipers holding their guns from a distance.

After all inspections were completed, Lin Ye and Qin Lie were surrounded and entered the base.

At this moment, a strong man in a floral shirt jumped off the top of the armored vehicle.

The guard next to him yelled a few words in Arabic, telling them that this is the boss of the base.

Even though Ceria has been shrouded in a dark cloud, this person is still wearing a pair of sunglasses, and the flashy accessories on his body are particularly eye-catching, especially the gold ring on his hand.

He stepped forward, looked Lin Ye up and down, then rubbed his ring, and said contemptuously, ”You, want to make an arms deal with me?”

Lin Ye nodded in response, but before he could speak, he was interrupted by the other party:

”What do you have there? Let me tell you first, I don’t even look down on ordinary equipment!”

This tone and attitude made Lin Ye very upset. He vaguely remembered that anyone who had talked to him like this before became a shit in the end.

However, now is not the time for him to act. At least he has to see the biochemical equipment before he can consider whether to act.

Thinking of this, Lin Ye immediately opened the rear compartment door with a smile on his face, and took a look at the equipment inside with the leader.

It was all the new standard equipment of the Erikan army, and even the well-informed leader couldn’t help but exclaimed: ”Holy shit!”

The first thing that catches the eye is the M110A1 painted in tan camouflage. High precision.

Not only does it have high shooting reliability, but the speed switch, magazine latch, and hang-up release lever can be operated on both sides. The small grip fits the shape of the hand better, and the enlarged trigger guard can be operated with gloves on.

On the gun body, in addition to the scope and silencer, it is also equipped with a bipod and a spare mechanical sight.

In addition, there is also the Barrett M107A1 with a sand-colored appearance. The whole body is made of lightweight materials, which is more convenient to carry.

Before departure, Cheng Bei complained that the old model Barrett M82A1M was too heavy, and it was not easy to transfer in an emergency. Therefore, he is currently equipped with this anti-material sniper rifle.

The muzzle brake is changed to titanium alloy, and the traditional double-bore right-angle arrow is replaced with a cylindrical arrow, which greatly reduces the recoil and can be equipped with a quick-installation and disassembly muffler.

Also placed on the rear compartment is the medium-sized machine gun M240L, which is a powerful weapon. It is equipped with a lightweight tripod and uses a titanium alloy receiver, which greatly reduces the overall weight of the firearm.

Moreover, Lin Ye thoughtfully provided a large-capacity backpack chain box, which can instantly transform the M240L into a monster with powerful firepower, easily suppressing swarms of zombies and even swarms of insects.

What’s even more outrageous is that under a pile of equipment boxes, there are M4 individual anti-tank rocket launchers.

The barrel of the M4 gun is made of a new lightweight titanium alloy, and the shell is also made of carbon fiber material, which reduces the weight and greatly enhances the mobility of individual soldiers.

This thing can also be equipped with an intelligent aiming system, a front grip and a shoulder seat, which can fire multiple different types of ammunition to adapt to different types of situations, and the flexibility is very high.

After roughly browsing the objects in the compartment, the bandit leader took off his sunglasses, then turned around and looked over in surprise:
”Where can so many things come from all at once, aren’t you afraid that I will kill people and get more goods now?”

Lin Ye didn’t change his face, he closed the door of the carriage, crossed his arms and said indifferently:
”Since you are a businessman, you should also understand the consequences of doing this, not to mention that this is only a small part of the inventory. If we cooperate happily, I still have more equipment to sell here, and the quality is better than these!”

”Very good! What you said really impressed me!” The bandit leader patted Lin Ye on the shoulder, then stroked the barrel of the M4 gun happily, and said suddenly:
”Oh, by the way, my name is Stephen King, don’t forget it!”

Hearing the name, Lin Ye couldn’t help but frowned: ”Stephen King? It doesn’t sound like a Serian name.”

Stephen rolled his eyes, and then spread his hands to explain: ”I’m just a foreigner who came here to find a way to make money!”

Lin Ye glanced at the organization with as many as [-] people, and couldn’t help sighing: ”It seems that you are developing well now!”

I don’t know how long it will take for him to develop to this number.

Of course, the number of people is secondary, and the main thing is to find reliable companions.

He didn’t want pig teammates to appear in his team. After all, in the last days, they were more terrifying than alien creatures.

Stephen led Lin Ye and his party into the weapon warehouse in the deepest part of the base, then pointed to the wooden box placed by the wall and said with emotion: ”The development is not bad, but what’s the use of that?”

He tore open the sheepskin cloth in the warehouse, and the golden light came into everyone’s eyes instantly, and those stacked boxes were actually filled with gold.

He picked up a piece of gold, shook it a few times on his hand, then threw it back casually, complaining with his hands spread out:
”Before the catastrophe, these things were valuable, but now you let me take them, I think they are cumbersome!”

Indeed, as the bandit leader said, in the last days, except for food, minerals and other resources, this kind of circulating currency is of little use.

However, when the Human Federation is established, these rare metals will still return to their original status and become a hard currency again.
