Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 18 Fire Suppression

Chapter 18 Fire Suppression
Lin Ye bought the equipment without hesitation, and quickly clicked on the defense facility interface to replace it with new weapons.

As the system prompt sounded, a beam of light flashed on the automatic weapon towers at the four corners of the protective net.

[Purgatory - grenade launcher has been deployed]

[Red Flame - flamethrower has been deployed]

Each weapon tower is equipped with a grenade launcher and a flamethrower.

After all installations are completed, the fire control system begins to re-match the system.

At the same time, the delivery cabin located on the sentry tower opened the hatch.

The first group of 30 Hornet drones began to take off, exploring outside the protective net, providing high-altitude fire support while supplementing the ground vision for the search radar.

With a buzzing overhead, the new automatic weapon turrets began to work in sync.

The area 500 meters away is all handed over to the howitzer turret.

Four grenade launchers began to sow the seeds of love around the perimeter of the protective net. With a violent explosion, a large cloud of dust and fragments of rock spiders were thrown into the sky.

Not only that, but the purgatory grenade it fires can disintegrate into multiple warheads in the air, all of which contain high-density solid combustion agents, which can plunge a large area into raging fire.

The area within 500 meters is guarded by red flame flamethrowing devices. The violently burning dark red fire column is hundreds of meters long, and the surface temperature is as high as 800°C.

After all the weapons were activated, the originally dark night was lit up by the surrounding fire, and the range was astonishingly wide.

At this moment, all the rock spiders that were about to jump over the protective net were ignited and hung in the holes in the net, neither up nor down.

Until it completely lost its vitality and turned into coke that shone with sparks.

With the help of new weapons, the situation on the battlefield is instantly reversed.

Not long after, the ground outside the projection was covered with scorched black holes, and the corpses of many rock spiders had piled up in them.

But even so, those alien bugs still didn’t stop.

In the purgatory made of flames, they still go on and on to participate in the ”barbecue party”.

This is not because they have no intelligence, but because in the social structure of the Zerg Swarm, the actions of low-level fighters are all subject to the orders of the higher-level Zerg, no matter what danger they are in, they must execute them.

It seems that on this battlefield, there are still some high-level Zerg who give orders!

At this time, the Gap Rock Spider, with flames all over its body, also realized that something was wrong.

While they let out bursts of ear-piercing screams, they charged towards them directly with their bodies.

It seems that they want to use this way of dying together to break through the severely damaged protective net.

Lin Ye naturally wouldn’t let them succeed.

As of now, only a few minutes have passed since the weapon was upgraded, and the survival point of the system has risen to [-] in the blink of an eye.

But for him, this is enough!
Lin Ye entered the [Defense Facilities] interface and directly upgraded the protective net.

[[Peripheral wall] upgrade command has been deployed, deduction of survival points: 60000]

At the same time as the system prompt sounded, the protective net was shrouded in light beams.

But within a few seconds, Qin Lie’s exclamation came from the courtyard, it seemed that the upgrade had been completed.

Lin Ye closed the window and looked up. The original metal mesh had been converted into a four-level fence made of reinforced concrete.

The wall is nearly half a meter thick and six meters high, and is made entirely of high-strength special cement.

To be on the safe side, Lin Ye bought a lot of high-voltage power grids, as well as supporting cables and control boxes from the mall.

He installed the power grid directly on the outside of the fence, and the control box was placed in the control room of the sentry tower.

He plugged the cable into the grid interface reserved on the outer wall of the building.

The moment the power was turned on, the lights in the courtyard flickered, and then a blue-purple light lit up outside the defensive wall, as well as the sound of crackling electricity.

This wave, this wave is electric oven and flame barbecue.

Although the high-voltage power grid combined with the flamethrower has a miraculous effect, the corpse left by the cracked rock spider created a natural ladder for the bugs that came later.

After a while, another rock spider emerged from the wall.

At this time, someone needs to contribute his part!

Lin Ye walked to the wall, called Qin Lie who was loading his rifle magazines, and led him up to the sentry tower.

”I’ll change you to a more refreshing weapon!”

Lin Ye used the survival points he just obtained to buy a GAU-17 Vulcan machine gun in the mall.

Moreover, the gun rack was directly installed on the top area of the sentry tower, so that the attack could cover the peripheral area of the entire projection.

The gun rack is also equipped with an alloy steel explosion-proof shield, which can guarantee the life safety of the machine gunner to a certain extent even if the opponent has air combat power.

The reason why Qin Lie was allowed to operate the heavy machine gun this time was because he had a special physique.

Although it cannot directly increase the firepower of firearms, it can affect the strength of the enemy.

According to the current level, it is possible to slightly reduce the firmness of the surface armor of the rock spider body, and in another form, let the fire suppression of the heavy machine gun exert a better effect.

Qin Lie tightly held the butterfly-shaped trigger of the Vulcan machine gun, and a halo as thin as a cicada’s wings rose from his body.

There was also a pale golden light in his pupils, and his cold eyes gradually filled with killing intent.

The invisible energy surged in all directions, and all the surrounding rock spiders looked over for a moment.

He took a deep breath, turned his head and said firmly: ”Brother Lin, leave it to me!”

Lin Ye nodded, didn’t say much, and left the sentry tower directly along the spiral staircase.

For the time being, let this guy get acquainted with the feeling of using abilities. I hope his talent is high enough and his comprehension ability is strong enough.

Not far away, Nan Xiao also emptied several boxes of rockets. She threw the barrels to the ground and sat down to rest.

”Thank you for your hard work, leave the rest to Qin Lie!”

Lin Ye stepped forward, bought a bottle of ”arterial” energy drink from the mall, and handed it to her.

Nan Xiao took the drink, thanked her, and then unscrewed the lid and drank it.

The girl drank the water so boldly and domineeringly that the bottle in her hand was empty in the blink of an eye.

Nan Xiao licked her lips, looked at the high wall and complained: ”The monsters I beat tonight are more than the crabs I ate in my life.”

”They are swarms of insects from alien planets, and there will be more in the future. Now they are just crabs, and in the future there will be lobstermen and sea urchin monsters!” Lin Ye responded blankly.

With his appearance, Nan Xiao really couldn’t figure out whether the sentence just now was a joke or the truth.

But only Lin Ye understood that tonight was just the beginning of a war.

They may have to spend nights like this for a long time to come.

”Hey, is there a mistake, Zerg? There is such a thing in the world?”

Nan Xiao tilted her head and looked at the guy next to her, with an incredulous expression on her face, ”Why do you know everything? You didn’t come from the future, did you?”

This seemed to be a joke, but it made Lin Ye’s eyes tremble.

As expected of a woman’s intuition!

He hastily coughed lightly, and explained indiscriminately:
”Because they look like bugs! Do I need to explain such a simple truth?”

”Yes, yes, you are right!” Nan Xiao rolled his eyes at him, took off the mechanical exoskeleton, and ran into the living room to rest.

At this time, a straight stream of light spewed out from the top of the sentry tower, followed by Qin Lie’s roar.

Merge it into one chapter today.
