Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 50: One man’s strength crushes an era!A dazzling light tore through the sky, as if a divine sword had descended from the highest heavens.

It was the moment the Particle Laser Cannon fired; immense energy gathered at the muzzle, the light so intense that one could not look directly at it.

This light, carrying an aura of absolute destruction, sped towards the hill tens of kilometers away with lightning speed.

As the laser beam traversed the air, the surrounding space seemed to distort; the air was instantly heated to an extreme temperature, forming a visible heat wave. Wherever it passed, vegetation charred and rocks melted.

A distance of tens of kilometers, under the attack of the Particle Laser Cannon, seemed like a mere stone’s throw away.

The massive hill appeared so small and fragile in front of the laser beam.

The moment the laser beam struck the hill, time seemed to stand still.

First, a blinding glare flashed, instantly rendering one’s eyes sightless.

Immediately after, a deafening roar followed, as if the bell of the apocalypse had rung.

A powerful shockwave, centered on the hill, spread out in all directions.

The surrounding air was instantly compressed, then released with an overwhelming force.

Wherever this shockwave reached, everything was utterly destroyed.

Trees were uprooted, boulders were tossed into the air, and the hill developed massive fissures, as if cleft open by a giant’s axe.

Boom, boom, boom—

Boom, boom, boom—

...

The deafening roar of the mountain collapsing shook the heavens.

Tens of kilometers away, they could even feel the ground shaking!

In an instant, the hill crumbled before their eyes!

The apocalyptic scene before them left them so shocked they dared not even breathe!

Only then did they realize how ridiculous their previous doubts had been!

As if being grazed by the beam would trigger a system notification of being destroyed!

Such a terrifying weapon didn’t even need to touch them; even if it just passed by, the energy released from the rapidly compressed air would be enough to tear them apart!

And because it was a test, the simulated firing system could only detect direct hits, so the Mecha’s attack could only be judged as a hit if it landed on the fighter jets!

In reality, it didn’t need to hit at all!

Sometimes, silent stillness expresses their shock at this moment better than eloquent discussion.

After a long while, they finally came back to their senses!

Looking at the destroyed hill in the distance, Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong said to his adjutant:

”Reply to the top commander of the Eastern Theater Command!”

”Just say that while testing the weapon, we accidentally destroyed a... mountain!”

”They should understand... right!”

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong felt he couldn’t cover this up anymore!

He had guessed that the power of the Particle Laser Cannon was significant, but he hadn’t expected it to be this immense!

He couldn’t help but wipe the fine beads of sweat from his forehead!

Director Zhao Kangbo was equally excited at this moment: ”My young friend Su Chen, when did you build this?”

Su Chen replied: ”Just a few days ago; it took me nearly a month!”

Su Chen felt the time was a bit long, after all, he still had to build the Pan-Space Mech!

But to improve the combat capability of the First-generation Mecha, he had no choice but to build it!

And upon hearing that Su Chen had built such a terrifying weapon in just one month!

Everyone present was nearly petrified on the spot!

They thought Su Chen was joking, but then they remembered that Su Chen was the genius who had built a mecha in just two months!

Building a terrifying weapon in one month seemed plausible!

Director Zhao Kangbo tried hard to calm his inner excitement; he thought of a question:

”My young friend Su Chen, this Particle Laser Cannon has such great power, it must consume a lot of energy, right!”

”How long can your Particle Laser Cannon sustain combat?”

After being improved, the sustained combat time of this Particle Laser Cannon was terrifyingly long!

”The Particle Laser Cannon has an independent energy system, and at the same time, it can be connected to the Mecha’s high-energy solid-state power source, and it can also utilize solar power for electricity!”

”It can sustain combat for at least half a month!”

Hearing this answer, the group of pilots felt as if they had been struck by a bolt of lightning!

It’s one thing for your laser cannon to have great power!

But the sustained combat time is also this terrifying?

You have to know that the sustained combat time of a Fifth-generation fighter is only a few hours to a dozen hours!

And you’re talking about half a month!

The sustained combat time is over a dozen times that of the J-20 Fighter Jet!

At this point, Wang Feng and the others were completely convinced!

They profoundly realized that they and Su Chen’s Mecha were truly not products of the same era!

At this moment, the female pilot who had been moved to tears of frustration earlier suddenly asked:

”Then... how did you make the fighter jet I was piloting hover in mid-air?”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone recalled the scene where Su Chen had made her fighter jet just float in mid-air like that!

At that time, everyone had broken out in a cold sweat for this female pilot!

If there had been an operational error, lives could have been lost!

No wonder she was scared to tears; it was supposed to be an exercise, yet you were risking her life!

Isn’t that bullying people?

Su Chen also knew he had gone a bit too far at the time!

While explaining, he showed everyone the rocket propulsion system equipped on the Mecha!

”The Mecha itself is equipped with a powerful rocket propulsion system, and the force it generates cancels out the thrust of the Fifth-generation fighter!”

”That’s why it could make the fighter jet hover in the air!”

Director Zhao Kangbo spoke up at this time: ”But how do you gauge this force?”

”How do you know what the opponent’s thrust is!”

”And how much reverse thrust should be used to cancel it out!”

”Does all of this rely on feeling?”

Everyone nodded; if it really relied on feeling, that would be too dangerous!

Feelings are the least reliable thing!

Su Chen also knew that feelings were unreliable:

”Of course not!”

”Throughout the entire process, BT was performing precise calculations!”

Director Zhao Kangbo suddenly understood!

But the others were stunned!

”Who is BT?” the female pilot voiced everyone’s question.

At the same time, a synthesized mechanical voice sounded.

”Hello, Madam!”

”I am very sorry for frightening you!”

”I am BT! The Artificial Intelligence system of this Mecha!”

”In order to test the Mecha’s intelligent system, I was the one performing the operations throughout the entire exercise!”

This voice was emitted by the Mecha’s Artificial Intelligence system!

Everyone was stunned again!

If it was the Mecha operating, it would definitely be more precise than human operation!

Through calculation, achieving a fighter jet hover was not impossible!

But next, these pilots suddenly thought of something!

Their pupils suddenly dilated!

Wang Feng couldn’t help but ask: ”You mean the entire exercise was operated by the Artificial Intelligence system!”

BT: ”That’s correct! Dear Comrade Wang Feng, we meet again!”

Wang Feng was taken aback: ”You actually remember me!”

He suddenly realized, and shouted at the top of his lungs:

”No, that’s not the point!”

”The point is that we actually lost to an Artificial Intelligence?????”

That’s right, this was the part that these pilots found unacceptable!

If they lost to Su Chen, they would be convinced!

Losing to an Artificial Intelligence, they were not convinced!

Director Zhao Kangbo smiled: ”What is there to be unreconciled about!”

”The Artificial Intelligence you think of is Xiao Ai, SORI!”

”The actual Artificial Intelligence is a super Artificial Intelligence with an IQ not inferior to yours, computing power equivalent to ten supercomputers, and equipped with high-tech technology throughout!”

”Losing to him is only natural!”

”It would be a miracle if you had won!”

Unexpectedly, Director Zhao Kangbo held such a high evaluation of the Mecha’s Artificial Intelligence system!

Everyone looked at Su Chen’s Mecha in disbelief!

Their hearts were itching; they all wanted to try it out themselves!

At this moment, Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong looked at Su Chen, and thinking that he was now a Senior Colonel, he felt relieved!

The news of Su Chen enlisting in half a day and being promoted to Senior Colonel in one day had caused a huge stir among the top brass of the Rabbit; initially, Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong had been skeptical!

But at this moment, he knew that Su Chen was worthy of the name!

Not only the powerful performance of the Mecha, but he had also made significant breakthroughs in Artificial Intelligence!

If he isn’t a Senior Colonel, then who is!

Even, Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong felt that being a Senior Colonel was underestimating his talent!

This is a man who, with his own strength, crushed an era of fighter jets!

At the very least, he should be a Major General!
