Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 30: Preparations Before the Practical Test!Eastern Theater Command.

Inside the solemn and grave Command Center.

The exercise commander-in-chief, Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong, was pacing back and forth in front of the giant operational sand table with his hands behind his back, his brows furrowed tightly.

Bright light spilled down from the ceiling, illuminating the simulated terrain on the sand table with crystal clarity.

His eyes revealed a deep sense of gravity, for this exercise was truly no small matter; it was not merely a simple military drill, but something that concerned the reputation of the Eastern Theater Command.

The entire Dragon Kingdom knew that their Eastern Theater Command was the pride of the Air Force!

Like an eagle spreading its wings, standing at the heart of the Dragon Kingdom, whenever there was an invading enemy, they would fly over at the first opportunity and deal them a heavy blow!

But this time.

They had encountered a troublesome opponent.

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong slightly raised his head, his gaze sweeping over the subordinates sitting around the conference table.

These subordinates were all military elites!

Not only were there experienced commanders, but also battle-hardened elite pilots.

In the past, they could chat and laugh while facing various opponents, but at this moment, their faces all wore serious expressions, deeply aware that this field test would be arduous.

It is worth mentioning that Wang Feng, as an elite pilot, was also among them at this moment.

”Everyone has heard of the mecha developed by Comrade Su Chen, right.”

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong’s deep voice broke the silence in the room.

Everyone nodded one after another!

They all knew that the advanced nature of Su Chen’s mecha had already caused quite a stir in the military field.

That mecha seemed like a product from a science fiction movie!

Yet it had appeared in reality!

Its speed, maneuverability, defensive capabilities, and sustained combat endurance had all reached unprecedented heights.

This dealt a huge blow to traditional combat concepts.

A young staff officer said: ”The appearance of this mecha has completely disrupted our original field test model.”

”Its powerful maneuverability makes it very difficult for us to track its movements, and its terrifying speed can pose a huge threat to us.”

”It seems that no matter how we fight against it, we cannot gain the upper hand!”

His words resonated with everyone.

A pilot with rich air combat experience said: ”From the perspective of air combat, this mecha’s flight performance is outstanding.”

”It can perform some high-difficulty maneuvers that our traditional fighter jets find hard to complete, which gives it a huge advantage when dodging attacks and launching surprise raids!”

”We must find a way to restrict its maneuverability.”

Another pilot continued: ”And its defensive capabilities should not be underestimated either!”

”I heard from Director Zhao Kangbo that the protective performance of the materials Su Chen used to build the mecha has reached an almost eerie level!”

”Although we haven’t actually tested the hardness of this material, according to him, ordinary firearms and artillery cannot hurt it at all!”

”Our conventional weapons have limited damage against it, which requires us to reconsider our weapon configuration and attack strategies.”

Everyone discussed it one after another, and various ideas and suggestions collided in the conference room.

At this moment, the tactical expert sitting next to Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong stood up!

This middle-aged man, who always wore a faint smile, had often provided them with strategies to save the day when the Eastern Theater Command fell into dangerous situations during many field exercises.

And at this moment, he stood out once again.

The tactical expert pushed up his glasses: ”As things stand, I think we can adopt the Many-for-One Tactic!”

”Although this tactic seems a bit risky, in the face of such an advanced mecha, we must make some sacrifices.”

”The Many-for-One Tactic?”

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong frowned and motioned for him to continue.

The tactical expert walked to the operational sand table, pointed to the simulated battlefield, and said: ”We can concentrate the firepower of multiple fighter jets to surround and attack Su Chen’s mecha. Although we might lose a few fighter jets, as long as we can successfully destroy the mecha, it will all be worth it.”

Of course, although it was a field exercise, it wasn’t a real destruction!

Whether it was the missiles used by the fighter jets or the mecha’s weapons, they would all be judged by the simulated weapon launch system!

For example, when one side’s fighter jet’s simulated missile system ”locks on and fires,” if the other side’s fighter jet is determined to be within the effective kill range and fails to successfully take defensive measures, it will be judged as ”hit” by the simulation system.

Once this idea was proposed, everyone fell into silence again!

The Many-for-One Tactic?

If possible, they really didn’t want to adopt such a tactic!

Only in extremely disadvantaged situations would they adopt this tactic of sacrificing other comrades to achieve the mission objective!

It could be seen that even their tactical expert had no better solution!

The mecha created by Su Chen seemed to have pushed them into a desperate situation!

No one had expected that these elite pilots of the empire, who possessed world-class fighter jets, hadn’t yet achieved glory by piloting their jets on the battlefield!

Yet they were easily held by the throat by a mecha developed by a young man in his early twenties.

They felt Su Chen’s terror all the more!

Silence for a long time!

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong looked at the silent crowd and said calmly: ”Since you have no objections, then let’s adopt the Many-for-One Tactic!”

At the very least, this is the most likely tactic to succeed so far!

”However, the implementation of this tactic is still somewhat difficult!”

”We need to ensure that multiple fighter jets can launch attacks on the mecha at the same time, which requires a high degree of collaborative combat capability.”

”Moreover, the mecha’s maneuverability is very strong; it won’t stupidly stand there and let us surround it, so how we can effectively trap it is also a problem.”

The officer in charge of communications said: ”We can improve the communication system to increase the speed and accuracy of information transmission between fighter jets, which can better achieve collaborative combat.”

The intelligence officer also said: ”We need to conduct more in-depth research on the mecha’s movement patterns to find its weaknesses and patterns.”

”Perhaps its maneuverability will be restricted under certain specific situations, or its defense system has some blind spots.”

After the tactic was determined, personnel from all aspects also began to display their professionalism.

And as the discussion deepened, the details of the Many-for-One Tactic gradually became clear.

A tactical network targeting the First-generation Mecha was gradually woven into completion.

Just at this moment, Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong noticed that Wang Feng, who had personally fought against the mecha, was sitting in a corner of the conference table, staring intently at the operational map on the table without saying a word!

He couldn’t help but wonder.

In his impression, Wang Feng was very talkative!

Every time a combat meeting was held, he could speak his mind freely.

What was wrong this time?

”Wang Feng!”

”You have fought against the mecha manufactured by Su Chen!”

”Come and offer your opinions on our Many-for-One Tactic!”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone’s eyes were uniformly focused on Wang Feng!

Awaiting Wang Feng’s suggestion.

The latter was stunned for a moment; he looked around at everyone, wanting to speak but hesitating, and finally shook his head helplessly!

”I don’t want to dampen your enthusiasm!”

”But if you really want me to say it...”

”No matter what tactic it is, in front of that mecha, it is all futile!”

”Including our Many-for-One Tactic!”

As soon as these words were spoken, the whole room went quiet again.

A silence so deep you could hear a pin drop.
