Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 41: The exercise begins, facing off against fifth-generation and fourth-and-a-half-generation fighters! Two days later, on the vast and boundless military exercise field.

All preparations were complete.

This significant live-combat test was like an active volcano about to erupt.

Beneath the calm surface lay endless power.

At the core military base of the Eastern Theater Command, thirty-six fighter jets were lined up neatly on the runway.

Like a flock of steel eagles about to spread their wings and soar.

Shining with an awe-inspiring metallic luster under the sunlight.

To ensure this live-combat test went smoothly, every fighter jet had undergone rigorous inspection and tuning.

These fighter jets were organized into four combat squadrons.

Each squadron had its own unique combat style and mission focus.

Participating were not only the J-20 Fighter Jet but also the J-16 Fighter Jet!

The fuselage design of the J-20 Fighter Jet could be called a perfect fusion of art and technology.

Its sleek lines were not just for aesthetics but also to minimize air resistance during high-speed flight.

When starting the engines, the powerful thrust allowed it to pierce through the clouds at extreme speeds, and its lightning-fast velocity left the enemy with no time to react.

It also possessed a unique Stealth ability, allowing it to ”vanish without a trace” on enemy radar screens.

In terms of weapon systems, the J-20 Fighter Jet was equipped with advanced air-to-air missiles; these missiles possessed ultra-long-range strike capabilities, capable of delivering a fatal blow before the enemy even realized it.

At the same time, the onboard cannon could not be underestimated.

In ”close-quarters combat,” these cannons would act like fire-breathing swords, shredding enemy aircraft to pieces!

Meanwhile, there was also a squadron of J-16 Fighter Jet!

As the 4.5-generation fighter of the Dragon Kingdom, before the J-20 Fighter Jet was unveiled, the J-16 Fighter Jet had always shouldered the major task of guarding the Dragon Kingdom’s airspace.

It also possessed impressive performance.

The airframe was robust and durable; this sturdiness allowed it to maintain excellent performance in complex and harsh combat environments, whether in high heat, extreme cold, or high humidity, the J-16 Fighter Jet could handle it with ease.

Its payload capacity was also top-tier; in addition to conventional bombs and missiles, it could also carry advanced electronic warfare pods.

These pods could jam enemy radar and communication systems, creating favorable conditions for friendly combat operations.

On the battlefield, the J-16 Fighter Jet could not only engage in fierce aerial dogfights with enemy aircraft but also execute precision strikes against ground targets.

It could carry precision-guided bombs to conduct ”surgical” strikes against important enemy targets such as military facilities and command posts.

When this flock of steel eagles soared into the sky, everyone present couldn’t help but look up!

A surge of indescribable emotion welled up among the crowd.

Especially the older generals, whose eyes shimmered with tears of excitement—a reflection on the passage of time.

From being destitute and blank to seeing the Fifth-generation fighter freely galloping in the blue sky today, only they themselves knew the hardships of the journey.

The exercise commander-in-chief, Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong, felt the corners of his mouth gradually lift; he was clearly touched by this scene as well.

With such combat-capable fighter jets, and Pilots who were the elite of the elite, even when facing several times their number of enemy aircraft, they would not back down!

Now, dealing with a mecha that might not even have a weapon system, even if the opponent was very advanced, it was not impossible to fight!

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong’s confidence grew significantly!

Also watching this live-combat test was Director Zhao Kangbo of the Aviation Research Institute!

The Fifth-generation fighter was manufactured under his leadership, and now he wanted to witness with his own eyes which was stronger: the Fifth-generation fighter or the First-generation Mecha.

Besides these two, many high-ranking generals of the Eastern Theater Command also participated in watching this epoch-making live-combat exercise.

On the other side.

Su Chen held a briefcase in his hand, standing tall and straight!

He watched the fighter jets in the sky, his eyes shimmering with a faint light.

As a military enthusiast in his past life, he was clearly captivated by the scene before him.

The J-20 Fighter Jet, the J-16 Fighter Jet—these were the top forces of the Dragon Kingdom’s Air Force!

Professor Ma Zhiqiang and Commander Liu Chengzhi stood by his side, equally filled with emotion.

Although this was an exercise, the J-20 Fighter Jet and the J-16 Fighter Jet were their precious darlings, cherished equally.

”How is it, Su Chen? With the opponent putting on such a display, are you afraid?” Commander Liu Chengzhi’s voice rang out.

Thirty-six fighter jets, four aviation squadrons.

This display could certainly be called large!

Even Zhao Dairou couldn’t help but open her mouth wide, watching in a daze.

Su Chen shook his head: ”It’s alright! I’m still quite confident in the mecha I built!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi suddenly smiled: ”Actually, I’m quite afraid!”

”I’m afraid you won’t know when to hold back and turn this exercise into a real battle!”

”In that case, these young brats are going to suffer!”

Zhao Dairou was slightly stunned, feeling a bit surprised.

The Eastern Theater Command had dispatched so many fighter jets!

In terms of numbers, Su Chen’s mecha was at a huge disadvantage!

Yet he still thought the other side would suffer?

Was the combat capability of this mecha really that formidable?

Su Chen smiled calmly: ”Don’t worry, Commander!”

”The weapon systems of the First-generation Mecha have all been modified to simulate fire!”

”Even if I really wanted to do that, the conditions wouldn’t allow it!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi chuckled: ”Don’t think I don’t know that if your mecha really wanted to fight, it wouldn’t need any weapons at all!”

”Even bare-handed, it would be enough to give those guys a hard time!”

Su Chen grinned.

Commander Liu Chengzhi was right.

Who could blame him when the alloy material on the First-generation Mecha was just too excellent.

Coupled with the terrifying energy and power system as support, its bare-handed power could smash a whole group of fighter jets!

Just as they were talking, a fighter jet dove down as if in provocation.

Commander Liu Chengzhi recognized that fighter jet.

He immediately laughed and scolded: ”That kid Wang Feng is provoking you!!”

”You frustrated him quite a bit before, and now he wants to vent it out!”

As he spoke, he looked at Su Chen: ”You should get ready to start too!”

Su Chen nodded.

Meanwhile, everyone watching the exercise was also a bit puzzled.

The fighter jets had already been deployed.

Why were their mecha still nowhere to be seen!

And just when they were about to lose patience, they noticed a young man appear in their field of vision.

This young man was carrying a briefcase in his hand.

Wearing a brand-new military uniform, he looked dashing and imposing, with an air of heroism.

But there was still no sign of any mecha.

Some Pilots were also very surprised!

They couldn’t find a trace of the mecha!

Just when everyone was confused.

The order for the exercise to officially begin exploded in everyone’s ears like a thunderclap, shattering the originally quiet atmosphere.

Meanwhile.

That young man moved too!

He calmly placed the briefcase on the ground!

Then, amidst the puzzled expressions of the crowd, the briefcase seemed to shatter.

It turned into individual metal components that converged onto Su Chen’s body!

Finally, it converged into a mecha shimmering with a cold metallic luster!

Standing proudly, shining brilliantly.

This scene stunned everyone!

Including Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong and all the Pilots.

Making their expressions, which had previously held some confidence, instantly turn grave!

This scene, like something out of a science fiction movie, had actually appeared before their eyes.

Anyone who didn’t know better would think they were dreaming!

On the viewing platform, many high-ranking generals stood up in unison, watching this scene in shock.

And the fighter jet that had just approached seemed to sense a murderous aura, instantly turning around and putting distance between itself and the mecha!

At this moment!

The First-generation Mecha slowly hovered off the ground, blue flames appeared, and about two seconds later, propelled by surging power, Su Chen soared into the sky, reaching the heavens!

BT: ”Pilot! BT is ready for combat!”

Su Chen: ”Very good! Then let these comrades feel the shock brought by technology!”

”However, just to be safe...” Su Chen suddenly thought of something.
