Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 43 Extreme Test: Terrifying Laser Weapons!”Shattered???”

”What do you mean ’shattered’?”

”A hit is a hit, what the hell is ’shattered’?”

Captain Zhao Kuo, leader of the first aviation squadron, asked.

The pilot who was hit explained, ”The simulation system alerted me that the laser fired by the opposing mecha was too powerful. The effect on the fighter jet after being hit was... an explosion!”

The other pilots were instantly stunned!

Explosion? Blown to pieces???

How the hell is this laser so powerful?

It’s a good thing this is just a live-fire exercise. If this were a real battlefield, wouldn’t we be blasted into nothing, without even a chance to eject???

Some pilots wanted to ask more questions, but the communication was cut off because that pilot had been ’killed’!

The fighter jet turned around and headed back to the Air Force Base!

The generals in the viewing stands also noticed the fighter jet flying back! Their hearts surged with agitation!

”What’s going on? Why has a fighter jet returned to the Air Force Base less than a minute after the start?”

”Could it have malfunctioned?”

”That can’t be right, didn’t we check it many times before the exercise started?”

Just as these generals were wondering, news reached them that a fighter jet from the Eastern Theater Command had been shot down!

They were instantly shocked!

Some Eastern Theater Command generals even stood up with a start, shock written all over their faces! Their eyes gleamed with disbelief.

”How is this possible? In such a short time, the Eastern Theater Command has already lost a fighter jet? Is the power of this mecha that terrifying?”

”It hasn’t even been a minute. At this rate of harvesting, this exercise will be over in an hour at most!”

”And these pilots are the elite of our elite. How could they be so vulnerable? Are our pilots too weak?”

”Weak? How is that possible! Have you forgotten that our Eastern Theater Command pilots previously participated in the joint military exercise held by the Mao Xiong and achieved the glorious record of shooting down thirty-two fighter jets without losing a single one! These are the elite of the elite, how could they be weak?”

”It must be because we deployed too many fighter jets, allowing the mecha to exploit a loophole! No matter, let’s continue watching!”

Inside the Command Center, Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong’s expression was extremely grim!

He was the highest-ranking officer at the Eastern Theater Command Air Force Base and served as the commander-in-chief for this exercise. Although he could remain fair and impartial, he was, after all, from the Eastern Theater Command!

The opposing mecha, despite being at a severe disadvantage in numbers, could still so easily shoot down their fighter jets! And it was a J-20 Fighter Jet at that!

It really made him feel like his face was burning with shame! And it set a historical record for the fastest downing!

In the past, when fighting against opponents with weaker Air Force capabilities, they had never been shot down this quickly!

Before this, the fastest downing time was ten minutes and thirty-two seconds! And it was considered a record that would be hard to surpass!

But the record Su Chen just set was 43 seconds! Shooting down a Fifth-generation fighter in 43 seconds!!! Terrifying!

Not only that! After the engagement, they discovered that the idea of using energy fluctuations to lock onto the mecha seemed to have failed!

The reason was that the speed at which the opposing mecha fired lasers was too fast! Laser weapons are fast by nature!

Besides, Su Chen wouldn’t be foolish enough to just stand there and fire! He was performing high-speed maneuvers while firing!

This way, even if the radar detected energy fluctuations, there was simply no time to lock on and press the fire button before he had already moved to some unknown location!

Just as everyone was at a loss, the detection radar suddenly had a reaction.

”Commander-in-Chief, we have detected an abnormal communication signal!”

”Relying on this signal, we can lock onto the mecha’s position!”

What????

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong and Director Zhao Kangbo hurried over! Seeing the signal appearing on the screen, they were instantly overjoyed!

This signal was unusually stable. One end was connected to the mecha, and the other to a control tower! And that control tower’s location was precisely the command base on Su Chen’s side!

Because it was very close to the base, relying on the Eastern Theater Command’s advanced radar system, they could quickly determine the opponent’s position!

The established communication between the opposing base and Su Chen’s mecha gave them great confidence! They immediately shared this signal with all the aviation squadrons!

Very quickly, they discovered Su Chen’s position.

Commander Liu Chengzhi had established communication with Su Chen mainly to test whether the communication system could function normally in combat! After all, when the mecha was executing a mission, it also needed to communicate and provide feedback to headquarters! Communication was a must!

However, once the communication ended, it could be cut off! So, after the test showed no issues, Commander Liu Chengzhi prepared to cut off the signal!

But Su Chen indicated that it wasn’t necessary. ”Commander, I feel like they are having a bit of trouble locking onto my position!” ”Let’s give our comrades on the other side some room to showcase their abilities!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi couldn’t help but laugh, and Professor Ma Zhiqiang couldn’t hold back his smile either! ”Then let’s keep the communication open!” ”It’s a perfect opportunity to test the continuity of the communication!”

Su Chen nodded: ”Yes!”

The communication remained uninterrupted, maintaining a good connection. This led the fighter pilots of the four squadrons to believe they had seized an opportunity, and they immediately converged toward Su Chen’s location! They also successfully locked onto Su Chen’s position.

Just then, the radar suddenly flickered. They were a bit puzzled! Then they discovered that another plane had flown back to the Air Force Base! Another one had been shot down!

Damn it, they had finally seized an opportunity, and hadn’t even had a chance to attack the opponent yet! They had lost another one of their own!

The remaining eight fighter jets of this squadron also flew toward Su Chen at high speed! Now that they could lock onto the opponent, they began to execute the planned Many-for-One Tactic!

Specifically, it was to use eight fighter jets to exhaust Su Chen’s energy! According to their thinking, Su Chen’s laser weapon must consume a huge amount of energy! At the same time, he had to perform high-intensity continuous flight, which was also extremely energy-consuming! As long as they persisted and exhausted Su Chen’s energy, the final victory would still be theirs.

So, these eight fighter jets, with the determination to break through the enemy lines, charged toward Su Chen! It seemed the real engagement was about to begin!

The generals in the Command Centers of both sides watched this scene nervously. The high-ranking generals in the viewing stands also stood up involuntarily, their eyes fixed tightly on the sky! Waiting for the exciting air battle to follow!

And neither side disappointed them! A grand drama of offense and defense unfolded!

When the eight fighter jets were at a distance from Su Chen, they pressed the button! They launched air-to-air missiles to deal with Su Chen! At the same time, they engaged afterburners, flying at extreme speeds, forcing Su Chen into an ultra-high-intensity confrontation and counterattack! The humming sound of the simulation firing system rang out in the air.

Su Chen quickly determined the opponent’s attack trajectory and pushed his own speed to the limit! Consequently, everyone present also saw the powerful strength this mecha displayed when facing advanced fighter jets!

He moved with ease under the lock of the missile systems, weaving through the various fighter jets! He used these fighter jets to deal with the incoming air-to-air missiles! With the support of terrifying speed, those missiles simply could not hit Su Chen!

In the process, Su Chen pulled off an even flashier maneuver! Facing the air-to-air missiles attacking him, he actually flew underneath one of the fighter jets, and the rocket launchers on his arms spewed reverse thrust, canceling out the forward thrust of the Fifth-generation fighter! And just like that, a Fifth-generation fighter was left hanging in mid-air!

At the same time, the air-to-air missiles struck, which he easily dodged, and they ultimately hit that fighter jet!

When Su Chen went to control that fighter jet, he discovered that inside the cockpit was actually a rather pretty female pilot! She had been reduced to tears from anger! Looking at Su Chen, her large, bright eyes were filled with glistening tears! As if she had suffered a great grievance.

Su Chen rubbed his head in embarrassment! After the other party stabilized, he let go and let her fly back to the Air Force Base!

Soon, Su Chen freed up his hands and stopped dodging, starting to take the initiative! He turned the power of the simulated laser beam to the maximum! Because it was a simulated beam, Su Chen performed an extreme test!

And this time, he almost lost control! As the power of the shoulder-mounted launchers was pushed to the limit, they erupted with unprecedented power!

The laser, originally the thickness of a wrist, suddenly transformed into a beam of light like a pillar supporting the sky the moment it was fired! It hit all the remaining fighter jets! Under the terrifying power, the remaining seven fighter jets were shot down in an instant!

And the energy inside the mecha was also nearly depleted! Su Chen was startled! It was fortunate that it was a simulated firing; otherwise, the intensity of that blast would have been enough to destroy a village instantly! It scared the other fighter jets so much that they didn’t dare to approach!

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong looked at the flash that had just suddenly appeared, and his expression changed! ”Damn it, who gave Su Chen a flashbang!”

However, when he saw a total of eight fighter jets flying toward the Air Force Base! He realized! This damn thing was not a flashbang at all! That was... his weapon system!
