Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 17 What’s it like to own your own villa while at school?Inside the military conference hall, there was a pin-drop silence!

The commanders were shocked beyond measure, at a loss for words.

They all knew that a student from the National Defense University had created a highly advanced mech!

They were thrilled about it!

Therefore, almost no one opposed the organization’s decision to grant him the status of Honorary Consultant, and the decision was passed unanimously.

However, Commander Liu Chengzhi then proposed granting Su Chen the rank of Senior Colonel.

As leaders of the military region, they were very cautious about this matter.

They felt that being an Air Force Honorary Technical Consultant was already a good enough treatment!

There was no need to grant him the rank of Senior Colonel!

But now, when they truly understood the mech that Su Chen had created, they realized they had underestimated the machine, and they had also underestimated its creator, Su Chen!

Super stealth technology that ignored all detection radar!

A top speed of three Mach, easily surpassing any Fifth-generation fighter!

High-energy solid-state energy reserves that were astonishing and could be replenished via solar power!

It was also equipped with an Artificial Intelligence system that did not belong to this era and only existed in movies!

...

Each of these technologies, if taken individually, would be enough to shock the whole world!

Yet Su Chen was able to create all of them and integrate them into a single mech!

They could not imagine what it would look like if this mech appeared on the battlefield!

But they could guarantee that as long as this mech appeared, the first battle would be the final one!

At this moment, in their eyes, Su Chen was no longer just a simple university student!

He was an existence comparable to Oppenheimer, who led the invention of the Nuke!

No wonder Commander Liu Chengzhi believed that if the Eagle were to treat Su Chen, the treatment would be even higher!

Absolutely!

Forget about the Eagle; even they now felt that a mere Air Force Consultant status was truly too shabby!

Commander-in-Chief Zhou Jingting asked again: ”Does anyone else have anything to say now?”

Silence!

However, it was only quiet for two seconds!

Someone raised their hand again!

Everyone looked at him!

Were they going to object at this point?

Some commanders were already preparing to roll up their sleeves to defend Su Chen’s rights. Although Su Chen had not joined the military yet, they already viewed him as the military’s precious treasure!

He had to join the military!

Whoever opposed it was going against them!

Even one of their own could not oppose it!

However, to their surprise, this commander was not opposing it, but said: ”Commander-in-Chief, would the rank of Senior Colonel be a bit too shabby?”

”I have a premonition that this mech will definitely be an existence that subverts future warfare, and it might even become a new type of strategic weapon that surpasses the Nuke!”

”Why not go all the way and directly grant Comrade Su Chen the rank of Major General!”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone was startled!

Good heavens, they thought he was opposing it, but it turned out he thought the rank of Senior Colonel was too low!

Commander-in-Chief Zhou Jingting suddenly raised a serious question: ”Comrade Zhao Gang, I understand your thoughts!”

”The key is, how old is Su Chen? He is only in his early twenties! He is at an age full of youthful vigor!”

”If we grant him the rank of Major General, he would be the youngest general in our Dragon Country! What if he gets carried away?”

”Of course, that is not the most important thing!”

”Su Chen definitely has a promising future. What if one day he creates some other shocking black technology?”

”What would we do then when there is no rank left to give him?”

Once these words were spoken, everyone realized that what Commander-in-Chief Zhou Jingting said actually made a lot of sense!

However, some people felt that Commander-in-Chief Zhou Jingting had too high expectations for Su Chen!

Creating such a shocking mech was already unprecedented and would likely remain unrivaled!

Did he really expect Su Chen to continue creating even more powerful things?

Was that even possible?

In the end, Zhao Gang’s proposal was temporarily rejected, and he had nothing to say because he also felt that Commander-in-Chief Zhou Jingting’s words made sense!

And so, the youngest Senior Colonel in the history of the Dragon Country was born!

...

Comprehensive Laboratory.

Because the higher-ups placed particular importance on the newly approved Laboratory, it was being renovated according to Su Chen’s wishes, and brand-new equipment was being purchased, so it was not yet completed.

Su Chen was still conducting research in Professor Ma Zhiqiang’s Laboratory!

At this moment, this Laboratory had ceased to be open to others!

It was for Su Chen’s exclusive use!

Commander Liu Chengzhi arrived!

He brought the commission documents!

He handed them to Su Chen.

”Senior Colonel???”

Looking at the words on the commission document, Su Chen was completely stunned!

No one had warned him that they were going to grant him a rank!

And it was the rank of Senior Colonel!

One had to know that above the rank of Senior Colonel was Major General!

He was just one step away from becoming a general of the Dragon Country!

Su Chen was a bit bewildered!

”But I am not a soldier yet!”

”Is this compliant?”

Commander Liu Chengzhi was amused by his words: ”These are all minor issues!”

He patted Su Chen on the shoulder:

”Keep working hard, Comrade Su!”

”Maybe one day when I see you, I will have to call you Commander!”

He had come prepared!

From the briefcase he was carrying, he took out a satellite phone!

He handed it to Su Chen:

”From now on, we will use this satellite phone to contact each other!”

”Necessary security measures must be taken!”

”Not only that, but your security will also be my responsibility!”

He led Su Chen to the floor-to-ceiling window of the Laboratory!

He pointed to a two-story villa in a corner of the school!

Outside this villa was a small courtyard, which had been unoccupied since it was built!

Passing students were all very curious about this villa!

But they had never seen its owner!

”From now on, you will move out of the dormitory and live in that small courtyard!”

”It was originally prepared for a meritorious old general; the Eagle’s agents all wanted his life, so the small courtyard has many security measures!”

”Unfortunately, the old general passed away from a sudden illness, so he never moved in!”

”Now it is just right for you!”

What is it like to have your own villa on campus?

Su Chen was about to experience it!

He noticed that this villa was very close to the school’s Fuxing Building, which was quite convenient!

So he did not refuse!

After arranging these things, Commander Liu Chengzhi left in a hurry!

He still had a series of security tasks to do regarding Su Chen!

At the same time, he had to coordinate with comrades from other departments to ensure comprehensive security work!

...

North China Military Region Air Force Base.

A dashing short-haired female soldier had just returned to the dormitory when she received orders from her superiors and was taken to a mysterious room.

Opposite her was the base’s supreme commander, General Liu Chengzhi.

”Commander! Do you mean for me to disguise myself as a student and return to my alma mater to protect an incoming senior student?”

”Are you sure this is not a movie?”

”And it is a top military secret?”

Zhao Dairou was very confused by this order!

For a moment, she thought she was in a movie!

A cliché plot of a cool female soldier falling in love with the person she is protecting!

However, although she did not understand, she still obeyed the order from her superiors and headed to the National Defense University!

...

School dormitory.

The villa courtyard had been tidied up by someone, and as soon as Su Chen finished packing, he prepared to move into the courtyard to live!

However, at this moment, a burst of light footsteps suddenly sounded outside!

The summer vacation was over, and his roommates should be returning to school!

Sure enough!

His roommate Liu Shuai returned!

He slammed the door open and struck a pose he thought was very handsome!

”Children, your daddy is back!”

Then, he saw Su Chen carrying large bags and small bags, looking at him as if he were a fool!

”Eh? Brother Chen, you just arrived too!”

Then, he discovered that Su Chen’s large and small bags were actually prepared to be taken outside!

”Holy crap, Brother Chen, what are you doing? Are you abandoning your father?”

Su Chen glared at him: ”Damn you, Liu Shuai, I am just planning to move out and live outside!”

”Use your head a bit and help me carry my luggage!”

Liu Shuai quickly lent a hand, took a bag, and carried it on his shoulder.

The two walked outside!

Su Chen briefly explained the reason for moving out!

After the senior year, everyone would have to be busy with their own futures!

Those studying for postgraduate exams would study, those taking the civil service exams would take them!

Those looking for jobs would look for jobs!

Everyone’s pace was different, and being together would affect each other!

Liu Shuai was obviously a bit unaccustomed to it for a moment, the melancholy of graduation season written on his face!

He lowered his head and did not say a word!

Su Chen felt his dejection and also understood the feelings of this cheap roommate!

”Alright, I am just leaving the dormitory to live outside, it is not like I am dead and we will not see each other again!”

Liu Shuai: ”No!”

”I still wanted to show you my mech model!”

”I spent two months building this, it will definitely open your eyes!”

Su Chen laughed: ”Alright!”

”If you built it better than me, I will treat you to a meal!”

”Otherwise, you treat me to a meal!”

Liu Shuai’s eyes lit up: ”It is a deal!”

”Just wait to be ripped off by your brother!”

Liu Shuai was happy!

He waited to send Su Chen to the place, and then he would show him the mech model in his backpack!

And just at this moment!

He saw the mysterious courtyard ahead!

The door was actually open!

He could not help but be a little surprised:

”Brother Chen, look, that courtyard door is open!”

”I have been going to school here for so long, this is the first time I have seen it open!”

”Do you think some big shot moved in?”

Almost every time he passed by here, Liu Shuai would make various guesses about who this courtyard was for?

It was definitely not an ordinary person!

Even the principal did not have this kind of treatment!

But he waited for a long time, and he did not get an answer from Su Chen!

Just as he was about to ask what was going on?

Then the next second, he saw Su Chen carrying his luggage and walking towards that small courtyard!

Liu Shuai was dumbfounded!
