Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 49 Exercise concluded! Demonstration of the particle laser cannon! This exercise ultimately lasted twenty-seven minutes and three seconds!

All thirty-six fighter jets from the Eastern Theater Command were shot down!

Naturally, this exercise also set the record for the shortest duration!

Furthermore, it was evident that the First-generation Mecha had clearly gone easy on them; if he had wanted to, ending the exercise in five minutes would have been effortless!

Watching the pride of the Air Force, the Fifth-generation fighter, being shot down so easily, the high-ranking officers on the podium couldn’t help but sigh with emotion!

”It seems the era is truly changing! From now on, the era of the mecha is about to arrive!”

”Tactics and strategies will all need to change. I don’t even know if us old guys will be able to keep up with the trend of the times!”

”This mecha’s combat capability is simply too terrifying. I feel like a single one of these mechas could destroy an entire legion; I’m afraid that in the future, having more people won’t necessarily be useful!”

At this moment, the pilots had all returned to the base!

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong looked at his subordinates, the elites, who wore bitter expressions, but he did not comfort them!

Tempering their state of mind was not necessarily a bad thing!

Although these pilots had the capital to be proud, they were now standing at a crossroads of the era, and pride would only become their stumbling block.

After this test, they all deeply felt the vast gap in technology between the two sides!

Faced with Su Chen’s advanced mecha, the fighter jets of the Eastern Theater Command seemed to have turned into ancient weapons, appearing powerless before a modern war machine.

The opponent had absolutely no ability to resist; their attacks, in the face of the mecha’s powerful defense and firepower, were like children’s play, completely ineffective.

This technological gap made everyone feel unprecedented pressure and challenge.

Amidst this silence, Su Chen returned safely.

His mecha landed steadily on the ground, emitting a muffled sound.

This sound, like a signal, broke the silence in the command center.

Everyone snapped out of their shock, and a complex emotion welled up in their hearts.

They felt both awe at the power of the mecha and disappointment at their own failure.

They approached the mecha, and Commander Liu Chengzhi also brought the members of the research team, along with various precision instruments, to check on the mecha’s condition!

At the same time, they confirmed the various data collected!

”Good work!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi walked over to Su Chen and said!

Su Chen: ”Actually, it wasn’t hard at all...”

Commander Liu Chengzhi grinned: ”I wasn’t saying good work to you!”

”I was saying it to them!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi turned his head to look at the pilots walking toward them!

”You all worked hard. Only with your cooperation in this exercise could we more comprehensively test all the conditions of the mecha!”

It was truly hard work!

Whether physically or mentally, these pilots felt exceptionally exhausted!

It really felt like they had fought a tough battle!

Subsequently, Commander Liu Chengzhi noticed Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong and introduced this exercise commander-in-chief to Su Chen.

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong gave a wry smile. Seeing Su Chen’s young face and recalling the brilliant performance just now, he couldn’t help but feel moved:

”Heroes truly emerge from the youth!”

”Truly a pillar of the nation!”

Everyone was stunned upon hearing this.

Especially those pilots from the Eastern Theater Command!

They knew that Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong was always serious and did not easily praise others!

It was good enough not to get scolded while training under him!

Yet at this moment, he gave Su Chen an unreservedly high evaluation, calling him a ”pillar of the nation”!

It was very surprising!

Of course, they also knew that Su Chen deserved such an evaluation!

As long as Su Chen was willing, he could easily destroy their Air Force units!

Calling him a pillar of the nation was no exaggeration at all!

Su Chen thanked him for the praise, his gaze sweeping over the pilots and landing on a female pilot with a beautiful face.

The corners of this female pilot’s eyes were slightly red, and she looked as if she had been crying!

Su Chen was stunned for a moment, thinking, such a pretty pilot, who was so mean as to make her cry!

Could it be Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong?

Because they were defeated so miserably by him, did he scold them to tears?

As soon as this thought emerged, he saw that girl glare at him with full resentment!

At this moment, Su Chen suddenly realized!

He remembered!

Isn’t this the female pilot whom he had angered to tears?

It was when he used the thrust generated by the mecha’s rocket launch system to counteract the propulsion generated by the Fifth-generation fighter she was piloting, causing her fighter jet to hover in mid-air, which made her cry from anger!

She was wearing a flight helmet at the time, which is why he hadn’t recognized her!

Now seeing that her eyes were exactly the same as before, Su Chen finally realized!

Oh my, he almost accused the victim while being the perpetrator!

He smiled awkwardly, immediately withdrew his gaze, and looked at the pilots.

He found a topic to cover up the awkwardness just now.

”I think you comrades must have many questions you want to ask me!”

”Don’t be polite, feel free to ask me!”

”I would also very much like to communicate with you all!”

In fact, these pilots indeed had many questions in their hearts!

Seeing that Su Chen did not have a high-and-mighty winner’s attitude, but was instead very enthusiastic, Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong and Commander Liu Chengzhi both couldn’t help but nod!

Wang Feng asked first; he had long been impatient, and even if he didn’t ask now, after returning, he would have sought out Su Chen to ask him privately!

”Su Chen, do you still remember how you shot me down?”

”I remember that at the time, I only saw a beam of light flash, and then I was shot down!”

”Also, even if your mecha is powerful, how could the energy be so abundant? Clearly, your energy had been depleted earlier, yet a few minutes later, it was fully recharged!”

Wang Feng asked several questions at once!

Of course, what puzzled them the most was the mecha’s energy system!

They even thought at one point that the opponent had deployed two mechas!

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong also said at this time: ”I am actually very confused as well!”

”Could it be that there is some hidden energy source behind this mecha you developed?”

Seeing that everyone was very curious about this question, Su Chen smiled calmly:

”There is indeed a hidden energy source, but I didn’t use it at that time!”

”At the same time, I also consciously wanted to test the First-generation Mecha’s capabilities in terms of energy replacement and sustained combat!”

”So, when the energy was depleted, I returned to the base to replace the energy!”

Once these words were spoken, everyone present was instantly stunned!

Wang Feng couldn’t hold it in: ”So, you finished replacing the energy in just a few minutes?”

Everyone’s eyes burned as they all looked at Su Chen!

It made Su Chen feel a bit embarrassed!

”To be precise, it was thirty seconds!”

The person who said this was not Su Chen, but the leader of the individual combat weapon research group, Chen Xiangyang!

He constantly monitored all the data of the mecha, including the time taken to replace the energy!

The people from the Eastern Theater Command couldn’t help but gasp.

No wonder the mecha’s energy could be recharged so quickly!

It turns out it only takes thirty seconds!

That is damn fast!

This sustained combat capability is simply heaven-defying!

”What about that beam of light?” Wang Feng pursued the question!

The other pilots who were shot down after being lightly hit by the beam also had the same question.

”It’s one thing that your mecha’s defensive capability is terrifying, but is the weapon system also this heaven-defying?”

”I was clearly just grazed by the beam, yet the exercise system indicated that I was destroyed!”

”The power is simply too great!”

Su Chen knew they were talking about the Particle Laser Cannon that had been modified and installed on the mecha!

At this moment, Director Zhao Kangbo in the crowd also spoke:

”Little friend Su Chen, have you developed something new again!”

”Why didn’t I know before that there was such a powerful weapon system on the mecha?”

”Why don’t you demonstrate it for us to see?”

Su Chen indicated that there was no problem, but Commander Liu Chengzhi said: ”It might not be easy to demonstrate at the base!”

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong: ”Then let’s go to our firing range!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi smiled: ”I’m afraid your firing range won’t work either!”

Everyone was stunned for a moment.

”Why?”

”Our firing range is quite large!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi smiled wryly: ”You don’t understand the power of the Particle Laser Cannon!”

”I have seen it with my own eyes, so I know the power of this thing!”

”Your firing range can’t accommodate it; it would be better to go directly to the test flight area!”

Everyone was a bit surprised!

Just how powerful is it that it can’t even be used at the firing range!

However, this also made them increasingly curious!

Arriving at the test flight area.

The test flight area of the Eastern Theater Command was a vast field!

There were also one or two rolling hills in between!

The scenery was quite beautiful!

Su Chen looked at Commander Liu Chengzhi: ”Chief, are you sure you want to demonstrate it here?”

Commander Liu Chengzhi didn’t want the beautiful scenery in front of him to turn into the kind of ruins like the test flight area at his own base, so he looked at Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong:

”How about we change to another place!”

Commander-in-Chief Wei Jiantong felt it was too much trouble: ”It’s fine, feel free to demonstrate; I’ll take responsibility if anything happens!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi: ”It’s a deal, you’re responsible!”

As he said this, he looked at Su Chen and pointed to the distant hills, saying:

”Just aim at that mountain peak!”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone was dumbfounded on the spot.

It wasn’t that it couldn’t be bombed!

It was mainly because the distance from here to that hill must be tens of kilometers!

Can this hit the target?

Before they could ask, Su Chen was already prepared!

Thus, in their astonished eyes!

The muzzle of the Particle Laser Cannon emitted a blinding white light!

Everyone opened their mouths slightly; even though they were at a distance from the mecha, they still subconsciously took half a step back!

Then they saw that white light blast toward the target!

It was magnificent!
