Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 28 Junior! I refuse, this can’t be!After demonstrating the Particle Laser Cannon, everyone began preparing to head to the Eastern Theater Command!

The Eastern Theater Command possessed the most advanced military facilities, the most elite Air Force units, and the most extensive combat experience.

Conducting field tests here would allow the First-generation Mecha to showcase its combat capabilities to the fullest extent.

Moreover, everything was prepared, just waiting for the First-generation Mecha to be transported over!

However, due to safety and security concerns, transporting the First-generation Mecha would take three days.

During this time, the various military regions would coordinate and cooperate, determined not to let any accidents happen to the First-generation Mecha while it was in their respective regions!

The route would pass through Luo City, Su Chen’s hometown.

Because he hadn’t returned home for the entire summer break, his family missed the original owner very much.

Many times, when his research reached a critical point, they would call to ask when Su Chen would be coming home.

Now was his chance!

Su Chen planned to make a trip home while passing through.

However, he was worried about affecting the test!

After all, time was very tight these few days, and he couldn’t let the entire military wait for him because of his own personal reasons!

Better not!

He would wait until after the test was completed!

That was what Su Chen decided.

However, the always observant Zhao Dairou noticed that Su Chen seemed to have something on his mind!

”Junior! What’s wrong?”

”Tell your senior, I can help you brainstorm some ideas!”

Su Chen shrugged. He didn’t want to say anything at first, but looking at the way Zhao Dairou was staring at him, it seemed like she wouldn’t stop looking at him if he didn’t talk!

There was no other way!

He spilled it out!

”That’s how it is, I’m afraid there isn’t enough time!”

After hearing this, Zhao Dairou understood Su Chen’s dilemma!

”Well, there’s really no helping it. Junior, one cannot have both loyalty and filial piety at the same time!”

”No problem!” Commander Liu Chengzhi’s voice suddenly rang out.

”Comrade Su Chen! Anyway, it takes three days to transport the mecha to the destination. Feel free to handle your affairs; I will arrange for someone to pick you up when the time comes! It won’t affect the test!”

”Besides, these two days happen to be a holiday, so we should leave you some private time!”

These two days were the National Day of the Dragon Kingdom.

The whole country was on holiday.

Zhao Dairou was stunned for a moment!

She looked at Commander Liu Chengzhi, then at Su Chen!

She hadn’t expected the higher-ups to treat Su Chen so well!

In the face of such an important matter, they still prioritized Su Chen’s needs.

Envious!

Su Chen thought about it. Anyway, there were fast means of transport like planes, so he could reach the Eastern Theater Command quickly!

Time-wise, it didn’t seem as tight as he had imagined!

Just as he was making his decision, his phone suddenly rang.

He glanced at the phone number.

Su Chen helplessly covered his forehead.

Zhao Dairou glanced at it curiously; it was Su Chen’s mother!

”Your mom is urging you to go home again!”

Before, when they were doing experiments, Zhao Dairou had seen Su Chen’s mother call, which almost ruined Su Chen’s experiment.

There was no way to explain it to her mother.

Zhao Dairou knew this was definitely another urge for Su Chen to go home!

Su Chen answered the phone: ”Auntie... no, Mom!”

The line was silent for two seconds!

Immediately after, a woman’s angry voice rang out:

”You brat, you haven’t come home for so long!”

”You don’t even call me Mom anymore, you’ve changed it to Auntie, right!”

”Let me tell you, you brat, if you don’t come back, you can just never... Hmph!”

Su Chen was a bit embarrassed. Asking him to call the original owner’s mother ”Mom” was still something he wasn’t used to!

He occasionally forgot!

”Alright, Mom! I got it!”

”I’ll head back today!”

Hearing this, the omnipotent old woman on the other end immediately changed her angry tone!

One could hear her happiness through the receiver.

”Really!”

”Good, good, good, can you get home tonight?”

”Mom will cook a table full of delicious food waiting for you!”

”It just so happens that Auntie Li introduced a blind date for you; you should go and meet her when you get here!”

A blind date?!!!

No way!

Su Chen looked sweat-dropped.

No wonder his mom was urging him to go back so much!

She was planning to arrange a blind date for him!

The fear of being dominated by blind dates from his own mother in his previous life still lingered in Su Chen’s mind like a dark cloud!

He hadn’t expected that his mother in this world would be the same!

”Um... can I not go on a blind date?”

”No!” Su Chen’s objection was nullified by his mother!

Without giving Su Chen a chance to argue, the call was hung up.

When Su Chen tried to call back, the phone was turned off...

Su Chen was stunned!

And his conversation with his mother had been overheard by Zhao Dairou and Commander Liu Chengzhi.

It wasn’t that the two of them intended to eavesdrop, but Su Chen’s mother’s voice was too loud!

Even if they didn’t want to listen, there was no way around it!

”Hahaha! Your mom is not only urging you to go home, but also urging you to go on a blind date!”

”Junior, you are really, really miserable!”

Watching his senior’s schadenfreude, Su Chen felt annoyed!

But at this moment, his eyes suddenly lit up, and he immediately thought of an idea.

He looked at Commander Liu Chengzhi, who was stunned for a moment!

Then he laughed and scolded: ”You brat!”

Knowing that the two of them wanted to discuss some private topics, he turned and left.

Then, immediately after, Su Chen leaned directly in front of Zhao Dairou.

”Senior!”

”You can also see that I am determined to devote my heart and soul to serving the country through scientific research!”

”I have no time to deal with emotional matters!”

”If that happens, it will definitely affect my research!”

”Why don’t you do me a favor?”

Zhao Dairou subconsciously took half a step back, feeling that Su Chen was acting strange.

”What favor?”

Su Chen grinned, revealing a bright smile:

”Pretend to be my girlfriend!”

Zhao Dairou: ”I refuse!”

Su Chen’s mouth twitched: ”Do you have to refuse so readily?”

Zhao Dairou gave a light snort, subconsciously brushing back her bangs:

”I don’t want to be your girlfriend!”

Su Chen emphasized: ”It’s pretending!”

”And I don’t even like you! We are just in a bodyguard and employer relationship!”

When Zhao Dairou heard the latter part, her expression suddenly froze.

For some reason, her heart suddenly sank, and she felt a bit angry:

”Even pretending is not okay!”

Su Chen shrugged helplessly!

He was like a deflated ball!

”Then what should I do?”

”Do I really have to go on a blind date with someone I don’t know?”

”What if it’s a type I like?”

”At that time, what about my research work?”

”I still want to build more powerful weapons for the country!”

”I haven’t realized my ultimate ambition yet!”

”I still...”

Zhao Dairou directly covered his mouth!

”Alright! Stop!”

”I’ll agree, okay!”

”Just shut up!”

Su Chen was immediately overjoyed!

He couldn’t help but feel smug.

As expected, she was truly a youth born under the red flag and raised in the autumn breeze!

Once he brought up the country, she agreed immediately!

Actually, he thought wrong!

The reason Zhao Dairou agreed was entirely because of Su Chen’s third sentence just now!

When that sentence was spoken, Zhao Dairou felt inexplicably nervous and annoyed.

She agreed involuntarily!

Even she herself didn’t know what was going on!

”Anyway, I have to protect you the whole time, even if you go home, I have to follow!”

”It just so happens I need to find a reason, so I’ll just pretend to be your girlfriend!”

”But it’s pretending! Pretending!” Zhao Dairou found an excuse for herself!

Su Chen was stunned for a moment: ”You don’t need to emphasize! I wouldn’t do anything to you anyway?”

”And I don’t like violent girls either!”

Zhao Dairou pinched his waist hard:

”You’re still talking!”

”Say another word and I’ll beat you to death!”

Su Chen: ”Help! This woman is trying to murder an imperial genius!”
