Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 25. All officers above the rank of regimental commander are addressed as ”commander”.Behind the Air Force Base lay mountains that stretched as far as the eye could see.

This was also the training ground where pilots practiced their flight skills!

Far away from human cities, even if a flight went wrong, no civilians would be accidentally harmed!

Su Chen and Zhao Dairou arrived at the base!

They were met by the second-in-command of the Air Force Base, Senior Colonel Wang Yong!

He held the rank of Senior Colonel!

”Hello, Chief!”

Zhao Dairou saluted Senior Colonel Wang Yong!

She looked at Su Chen beside her and, seeing him unmoved, quickly gave him a wink and whispered, urging him:

”Junior, what are you standing there for?”

”Hurry up and call him Chief!”

Although Su Chen’s research capabilities were heaven-defying, he still had to show respect in front of a superior!

Chief Senior Colonel Wang Yong heard her words and quickly waved his hands:

”No, no, you mustn’t!”

”How can Comrade Su Chen call me Chief?”

Zhao Dairou insisted, feeling that as his senior, she had the ability to teach Su Chen, a student who hadn’t entered society yet, the ways of the world!

Therefore, she kept winking at him!

Who knew Su Chen would remain completely unmoved!

However, he wasn’t impolite either. He politely shook hands with Senior Colonel Wang Yong and called out:

”Senior Wang Yong, I’ll have to trouble you for the test later!”

Chief Senior Colonel Wang Yong smiled and said, ”What trouble is that!”

”That Comrade Su Chen allows us to help test new weapons is a sign of your regard for our base!”

”You two wait a moment, I’ll go prepare!”

Su Chen nodded!

After Chief Senior Colonel Wang Yong left, Zhao Dairou immediately began to lecture him:

”Junior, you need to address people properly when you go out! How can you call him ’Senior’?”

”Facing an officer at the rank of Regimental Commander or above, you must address them as ’Chief’! You haven’t stepped into society yet, so I don’t blame you for not knowing this!”

”But you must remember it from now on!”

”Especially Chief Senior Colonel Wang Yong; he is the second-in-command of our base, a Senior Colonel!”

”Later, you must make sure to add that ’Chief’!”

To be honest, someone who could painstakingly teach you the ways of the world without being condescending was really quite nice!

Su Chen was also very grateful, but...

”What if I’m at the same rank as the other person?”

This sudden question caught Zhao Dairou off guard, and she didn’t react for a moment!

After a long while, she said, ”Then it’s up to you!”

Su Chen understood: ”In other words, if I face someone at the Senior Colonel level, I should call them ’Chief’! If we are at the same rank, then it’s whatever!”

Zhao Dairou nodded: ”That’s right!”

The corners of Su Chen’s mouth curled up, revealing a faint, mischievous smile:

”If that’s the case, then I’m not wrong!”

”It’s actually you who are wrong, Senior!”

Zhao Dairou was suddenly stunned!

”Why?”

”How am I wrong?”

Su Chen smiled calmly, with no intention of explaining!

Just then, a female officer trotted over.

She nodded at Zhao Dairou, then saluted Su Chen:

”Chief!”

”The test site is ready!”

”Chief Senior Colonel Wang Yong sent me to pick you up!”

Su Chen nodded slightly: ”Thank you for your hard work!”

Then he glanced at Zhao Dairou, who was frozen in place: ”Senior, why are you just standing there?”

”It’s time to go!”

As he spoke, he strode off on his own!

Zhao Dairou quickly snapped out of it and grabbed the hand of the female officer, Wang Li!

This was her superior at the Air Force Base.

”Captain, what did you just call him?”

She pointed at Su Chen and asked in shock.

Wang Li recalled: ”Chief!”

”Why???” Zhao Dairou was shocked!

Wang Li: ”Chief Su Chen holds the rank of Senior Colonel!”

”Didn’t you know that?”

”Have you forgotten what I taught you?”

”Facing an officer at the rank of Regimental Commander or above, you must address them as ’Chief’!”

Zhao Dairou widened her beautiful eyes in disbelief.

At this moment, she finally understood what Su Chen meant earlier.

Her face instantly flushed red!

She had actually been teaching him how to address people, while she herself kept calling him ’Junior’!

According to her own logic, she should have been calling him ’Chief’!

And she had been calling this ’Chief’... ’Junior’ all this time!!!

The key was, Chief Commander Liu Chengzhi hadn’t told her either!

Wait, no!

Zhao Dairou suddenly realized!

Su Chen was a Senior Colonel!!!!!

He was only in his twenties!

He was already a Senior Colonel at this age?!!!

”Hurry up and follow him, your Senior Colonel has already walked far away!”

Wang Li urged her teasingly!

Zhao Dairou, whose face was already flushed, turned red to the tips of her ears upon hearing her words.

Without time to explain, she immediately chased after him!

Su Chen glanced at this senior, who had a hard fist but a slightly naive head, and found it quite funny!

”Senior, you don’t have to call me ’Chief’. Just keep calling me ’Junior’ like before!”

”Go to hell!” Zhao Dairou was embarrassed and angry, and she pinched Su Chen’s waist hard!

Whether it was a punch or a roundhouse kick, she didn’t think Su Chen’s frame could necessarily withstand it!

She could only use pinching to make Su Chen learn his lesson!

If not for the fact that there were people all around, Su Chen would have really shouted out!

”You stinky woman, you’re really ruthless!”

”Are you supposed to be protecting me, or killing me?”

Zhao Dairou clapped her hands and snorted softly: ”That’s for teasing me!”

”From now on, we’ll stick to our own forms of address. You call me ’Senior’, and I’ll call you ’Junior’!”

”As for ’Chief’, let others call you that! I won’t!”

Su Chen was unconvinced; he bared his teeth:

”Just wait! There will be a time when you’ll have to call me that!”

Su Chen rubbed his waist.

Arriving at the test site!

...

Before him stood mountains upon mountains!

The Particle Laser Cannon was moved down from the vehicle!

It was placed on a platform!

The muzzle was aimed at those mountains!

Chief Senior Colonel Wang Yong looked at the laser cannon in front of him, which didn’t look like a product of this era, and felt unprecedented excitement in his heart.

However, after the excitement, another question arose!

”Comrade Su Chen, how do you plan to test it?”

Su Chen looked at the mountains before him: ”Isn’t this a natural test site?”

”Just blast away at them!”

”Oh, right!” Su Chen suddenly thought:

”There are no plans to develop this place into a tourist attraction, right?”

Chief Senior Colonel Wang Yong was stunned for a moment: ”No, not really.”

Su Chen was relieved!

”Alright! Everyone, step back!”

”Be careful not to get caught in the blast!”

Everyone stepped back!

”Not enough!”

”Keep retreating!”

Everyone was stunned.

”Keep retreating!”

Until they had retreated a hundred meters!

Only then was Su Chen relieved!

Then he operated the Particle Laser Cannon and pressed the fire button!

Chief Senior Colonel Wang Yong and the others looked at each other!

They thought to themselves, although this laser cannon looked very powerful, was it really necessary for them to retreat a hundred meters?

But just as this thought crossed their minds!

They saw light erupt from the muzzle of the Particle Laser Cannon, concentrate for a moment, and then a beam of destructive light, as if from hell, instantly shot out, striking straight at that towering mountain.

Everyone’s pupils dilated instantly!

As if they had seen a ghost!
