Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 200 Fishing with a big netThe location of the secret realm gate is already close to the depths of the Black Dew Forest. There are abundant pet beast resources nearby, and the Imperial Insect Valley not far from the entrance is naturally similar.

Lu Dahu led the Zheng siblings for a few rounds in the surrounding woods, and found many of the delicious meaty beasts on the list.

With the experience of hunting together in the wild these past few months, the members of the Black Tiger Team cooperated very skillfully in this kind of hunting of small pet animals.

The demon dog roared around, exuding coercion and black flames, driving these low-level pet beasts with no fighting ability out of the hiding place, and then let the static electricity hedgehog release electric skills to paralyze and control, and finally the acid roaring viper who was ambushing next to him Killed.

With a set of smooth operations, few prey can escape.

In the process of hunting bait, the electrostatic hedgehog played a key role. Its racial talent is called ”multiple induction”, which can release multiple electric control skills with lower power.

Relying on this skill, an ordinary chain current can be directly transformed into a power grid, covering a considerable area.

Although after weakening its power, it is easy to be unable to break through the defense against higher-level beasts, but when dealing with lower-level beasts, the electrostatic hedgehog’s field control ability is still quite strong.

Thanks to Russell’s greedy appetite, Lu Dahu deliberately caught some extra pets that were not planned for the trap, and everyone in the team also enjoyed a quite sumptuous lunch.

”I didn’t expect you to be so good at cooking. I’ll teach your sister more when I have time...”

In the evening, by the bright fire in the small camp on the hillside, Russell, who was full of food and had a mouth full of oil, praised Lu Dahu repeatedly.

Because he has been very busy recently and has no time to go out to restaurants, it has been a long time since he has eaten such authentic pet food.

The lotus leaf frog comes with a thick accompanying lotus leaf. After being processed, it can be directly wrapped in soil and cooked into a stewed tender frog meat in the same way as a beggar’s chicken.

The meat of the rosin tits will emit a fresh pine aroma after being roasted a little, and it tastes fat but not greasy. Russell fucked several of them in a row, and only stopped when he was completely full.

”What’s wrong with Ning Ning? I heard that she has been studying nutrition recently and promised to help you take care of your body. I haven’t eaten the food she cooked yet.”

Hearing Russell’s complaints, Lu Dahu looked very puzzled, and he was even jealous because his sister was so nice to Russell.

”Come on, come on, this is the nutritious lunch she brought me for you...”

Feeling that Lu Dahu’s brother filter couldn’t be broken with a few words, Russell simply took out a crisper from his backpack.

”Tch, you still dare to dislike what Ning Ning did...what the hell is this!”

Taking the crisper box, Lu Dahu looked arrogant, obviously very confident in the nutritious meal prepared by his sister.

However, less than three seconds after opening the box, he was shocked by the green bowl of so-called ”special nutritious meal”.

”This is a three-melon soup made of bitter melon, cucumber, astringent melon, and celery juice, and paired with meatballs made of boiled forest chicks. It is said to be able to clear away heat and detoxify, protect the liver and improve eyesight, moisten the intestines and relieve constipation, and help lose weight. , there are so many benefits...”

Looking at the green crisper box, Russell sighed and faintly announced a series of terrifying dish names.

Since studying nutrition, Lu Yinning has almost become the leader of the bitter melon cult. No matter what she does, she must put a lot of bitter melon in it.

During her most enthusiastic period, she even developed pure bitter melon recipes including hot dishes, soups and desserts!

If Russell hadn’t strongly opposed it and threatened him with a hunger strike, Lu Yinning might have become a vegetarian.

”...This rosy tit is also roasted. I’ll save it for you to make a midnight snack.”

Unexpectedly, his sister was so frightened. Lu Dahu looked embarrassed and quickly handed another roasted tit full of oil and fragrance to Russell.

After eating and drinking, Russell lay in the tent and burped constantly. After Lu Dahu and others rested for a while, they divided their work and began to make bait to trap water ghost catfish.

Compared with carefully cooked game barbecue, the method of making bait for wild pets is much simpler and cruder.

Fan Ming’s Collector No. 07 started the internal cutting machinery, minced the fresh meat and internal organs of these pet beasts into minced meat, and then mixed it with a bottle of freshness enhancer and a small amount of temptation pheromones secreted by the Sour Viper. A big pot of sticky bait is ready.

It has to be said that with the originally delicious pet animal meat mixed with several items that add fishy smell, the taste of this pot of bait becomes quite rich.

Even from a distance of several meters, Russell could smell a pungent fishy smell.

Under the slight heating and stirring of Collector 07, as long as it is left for a few hours, the meat paste will slightly rot and then emit a more fishy smell.

Although this smell is nauseating to humans, it is a rare delicacy in the world for wild beasts that love fish.

For example, Ayou, a moth with scavenging habits, has come out of the beast-controlling space smelling the smell. It lies on the basin containing the bait and sucks fiercely.

Although he was a little uncomfortable with the fact that his pet beast had such a heavy taste, Russell also understood that it was natural for the UFO Hawkmoth to eat scavengers, so he could only let it satisfy its appetite.

However, after preliminarily preparing the bait, Lu Dahu did not wait for the meat paste to start rotting, nor did he wait for the iron chrysalis silk to be transported from the Imperial Insect House, but directly took out a small part of it.

Then, Lu Dahu took out some special cloth that dissolved in water, divided the minced meat into many small portions, and let Ayou, who had the ability to fly, scatter them into the mud.

”What are you doing? The hunting props are not in place yet.”

Seeing this, Russell was very puzzled.

According to his idea, the exploration team should recharge their batteries now and wait for the iron chrysalis silk to arrive and weave it into a fish net before taking official action.

If we start feeding bait now and feed all the water ghost catfish, won’t the subsequent trapping effect be reduced?

”Brother Luo, you definitely don’t like fishing, right? This is called nesting, and it’s just to improve the success rate of trapping later!”

Hearing this, Lu Dahu laughed, and then introduced some common sense to Russell about hunting aquatic beasts in the wild.

The so-called nesting is to attract all kinds of aquatic creatures to the vicinity of the hunting site by putting a large amount of fishy smelling substances, artificially creating a water area rich in aquatic products.

Feeding a small amount of bait in the water in advance is a very typical method of making nests.

Feeding a small amount of high-quality bait will not only prevent the aquatic beasts from being full and lazy, but will also stimulate their hunger and thirst, causing them to frequently approach the edge of the water in search of such delicious food that they usually cannot eat.

At the same time, feeding the nest-making bait several times in succession can also reduce the vigilance of these aquatic pets.

The intelligence of low- to mid-level wild beasts is usually not very high. By the time the bait is officially released for hunting, they have become accustomed to the delicious food that appears from time to time, and the probability of being caught will naturally be greatly increased.

If you want to make multiple nests and feed the greedy Russell by the way, just relying on the baits you hunted today is definitely not enough.

After a night’s rest, Lu Dahu got up early, preparing to catch some more lotus leaf frogs and rosin tits, and also took care of today’s food.

As for the other members of the Black Tiger Team, they have been busy with Lu Dahu in the past two days, but instead of feeling hard, they are full of energy.

A large part of the reason is naturally because of the high salary Russell offered them.

The current income of the Black Tiger Team is almost equivalent to steadily completing an intermediate mission every two or three days, which is a level that many senior hunting teams cannot achieve.

Secondly, it is because the opportunity to participate in the pioneering war is really rare.

After all, the cost of development is extremely high. If there is not enough profit, blindly advancing into ordinary wilderness is often completely outweighed by the gain.

Moreover, the development war is very regional. Unless the local people are unable to develop and give up on their own, outsiders will generally not be allowed to easily intervene. If a large secret realm like the Crystal Garden is not discovered near the city where they are located, most mid-level beast masters may not have the opportunity to participate in a pioneering battle in their entire lives.

Therefore, for any beast master, the experience of participating in the development battle is extremely valuable. Even if he changes jobs in the future, it will be an experience that will increase his worth several times.

Besides, looking at the current development trend of Omushiwu, even according to the most conservative estimate, it is safe to become the leading enterprise in Senluo City and occupy a place in the Southern Principality.

What’s more, the boss of the Royal Insect House is also a close friend of his captain. Judging from the way the two of them get along, they should have a really good relationship.

The company has a bright future, and if it provides an opportunity, no one else can ask for it. The salary is still very high. Isn’t this the perfect destination for a working worker?

Unless one is very outstanding and can be promoted to a high level easily, anyone with a little bit of brains will cherish this job opportunity.

…………

At noon, after everyone had another delicious barbecue meal, the iron chrysalis silk from the Imperial Insect House also arrived.

Hearing that supplies were needed for the development of the Imperial Insect House, the Senluo City Alliance directly sent an armored vehicle to Lu Yinning and transported the silk to the forest without stopping.

Well aware of the importance of pioneering operations, Lu Yinning directly brought over all the iron chrysalis silk that had not been submitted to Feiyi Shipping recently.

Now the quantity and quality of iron silkworms have improved. After only a week of accumulation, they have spit out two large baskets of high-quality silk.

”You can calculate whether these silks can meet the needs of hunting water ghost catfish.”

Russell took out a small bundle of iron chrysalis silk from the storage basket and handed it to Fan Ming, who had long been extremely curious.

Taking the bundle of silk, Fan Ming carefully placed it in the internal cabin of Collector 07.

Accompanied by a beeping sound, Collector 07 stretched out two small mechanical arms from the inside. After some pulling, the toughness and ultimate stress strength of the iron chrysalis silk was quickly analyzed.

”The toughness index and stress strength have both reached... exactly twice the industry average?”

Looking at the feedback information provided by his contracted beast, Fan Ming took a deep breath.

He had previously estimated % for Russell. According to common sense, this was already an extremely unrestrained estimate.

After all, worm silk is a pet resource that can be mass-produced. Even if it is % of the quality value, accumulated in quantity, it is a gap that cannot be ignored.

If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, it would have been hard for him to believe that the iron chrysalis silk from a pet shop could actually meet the quality parameters of twice the industry standard.

You know, although the iron silkworm ranks quite high among silkworm pets, in the final analysis it is just a silver-level pet.

According to the common knowledge about levels in the world of beast control, the natural adult level of a silver-level pet beast should be level four.

But the problem is that fully mature iron chrysalis moths cannot spin silk, so iron chrysalis silk can usually only be regarded as a third-level pet material.

But judging from the data calculated today, the iron chrysalis silk produced by Yu Chongwu is already quite close to the strength of the material for mid-level pet beasts.

No wonder Yuchongwu can easily find cooperation with large enterprises like Feiyi Shipping Company. It turns out that Boss Russell’s cultivation ability is so terrifying...

After this operation, Fan Ming was completely convinced.

”The Collector 07 is a multi-function machine. Leave it to me to find a job weaving the web.”

In order to alleviate the embarrassment of repeatedly questioning Russell before, he took the initiative to take over the job of weaving the web.

Although the main function of Collector No. 07 is transportation and collection, the advantage of the mechanical beast is that it can load some simple functional modules at any time.

Just weaving an ordinary fishing net does not require any special functions. It is indeed not a very complicated function.

It took less than half an hour to turn two baskets of iron chrysalis silk into a huge fishing net.

Considering the large size of the water ghost catfish, the mesh of this fishing net is very sparse, and Russell can easily pass his thigh through the mesh.

In addition, the toughness of the Insect House Iron Chrysalis silk is very high. Only three strands need to be twisted together to withstand the struggle of the water ghost catfish. The rope of this net is also quite thin.

Such a large, sparse and slender net can be spread out quietly in the mud, making it difficult for ordinary aquatic beasts to detect the existence of a fishing net.

In addition, Fan Ming also sewed a thumb-sized energy detection device on the bottom of the net.

This small mechanical product, which is sold in stores for only a few dozen credits, only has a basic function of detecting energy fluctuations, but it is enough to detect approaching water ghost catfish in the first place.

…………

Now that everything is ready, the muddy environment is very stable, and no east wind is needed. After afternoon, the Insect House Development Team officially started fishing.

However, the water ghost catfish is a gold-level aquatic pet after all. It can generally reach the fifth level of strength after adulthood. In addition, it has the advantage of being underwater. Even if you have bait and fishing nets, you cannot be too hasty.

After exploring the swamp for a while, Lu Dahu chose a relatively wide puddle and then slowly sank the fishing net into the water.

Then, he took the slightly rotten bait he had made yesterday, wrapped it in a cloth bag and placed it on top of the fishing net.

The purpose of this is to prevent the bait from dissipating in the water too quickly and being eaten clean by some small fish and shrimp pets.

Wrapped in a cloth bag, the blood in the bait will slowly seep into the water, which can last for several days.

After setting up the trap, Russell and the others exited the muddy area and returned to the hillside to wait quietly, lest the snake vines find that a large number of mid-level beast masters had gathered nearby and issue a warning to the water ghost catfish not to float up.

In the following time, all the team could do was wait patiently.

Time passed slowly, and towards evening, just when everyone was already drowsy, Collector 07 suddenly issued a rapid prompt:

”Fifth-order energy fluctuations detected, fifth-order energy fluctuations detected...!”

”Dao Lang, you go and close the net first.”

Upon hearing this prompt, Russell immediately raised his hand and summoned the one he was eager to try.

The pets of other people in the team were all terrestrial pets, and they were a bit slow in running to the middle of the muddy ground, so the task of closing the net was given to Daolang, who could fly short distances.

Under Russell’s command, Daolang glided all the way to the puddle where the fishing net was laid out, and immediately hooked the slightly shaking fishing net with the small barb on the knife arm.

The next moment, the originally calm water surface suddenly splashed with a large amount of muddy water, and it seemed that there was a huge creature struggling violently in the shallow water.

This swamp is not a large body of water and cannot support several large gold-level carnivorous beasts. Needless to say, the one caught in the net must be a water ghost catfish.

But after all, the opponent is one level higher than Daolang, and the Mantis family are all skill-based beasts and are not good at competing for absolute strength. Even with the help of fishing nets, it cannot hold on for long.

”Let’s go!”

Seeing this, everyone summoned their pet beasts and rushed towards the mud pit where the water ghost catfish was struggling. (End of chapter)
