Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 201 The fishing operation was a great success!Whoa-!
As the fishing net tightened, the water ghost catfish fully realized that it had been ambushed, and then struggled violently.

As it continued to flop and roll in the net, the surge of muddy water became larger and larger. Russell and the others were splashed with mud before they even reached the puddle.

However, the hunt finally made progress, and the few people didn’t care about this obstruction, and quickly arrived around the water hole according to the safe route they had explored before.

”Devil Dog, hold the fishing net, don’t let it take the net into the water!”

Although this net is simple to make, the materials are expensive. The net itself is worth hundreds of thousands of credits. If it gets swept into the water and disappears, the loss will still be a bit high.

Moreover, the silk used for weaving the net this time has already been the entire output of the Imperial Insect House in the past week. It will take a lot of time to transport another batch of iron chrysalis silk.

Previously, the Senluo City Beast Control Alliance predicted that the beast tide would hit in about half a month. Now they have spent another two or three days preparing for the trap, and everyone only has about ten days of safe period left to develop.

Although the location of the Chongwu House is relatively superior, surrounded by mountains on three sides, which can reduce the difficulty of defense a lot, and it is also far away from the forefront of development, the defensive strength of the Chongwu House cannot be compared with the alliance garrison.

If some basic defenses are not built before the beast tide comes, it may be difficult to withstand a sizable herd of beasts just by relying on the strength of a few mid-level beast masters.

Before coming to the development area, Russell made an agreement with Dingjia Construction Company, a company he often cooperates with.

When the route into the valley stabilizes, they will immediately start work and build some buildings in the Insect Valley.

However, the vehicles transporting building materials are quite heavy and cannot withstand the slightest interference when driving on muddy ground. These things must be established on the premise that the road into the valley is smooth.

What Russell and the others have to do now is to concentrate on dealing with the water ghost catfish that took the bait.

”Ayou, spread scale powder into the water.”

Considering that the water ghost catfish has not really appeared at this moment, using powerful output skills rashly can easily break the fishing net. Russell first asked Ayou to shake his wings and spread several balls of scale powder into the water.

As a racial talent of the UFO Hawkmoth clan, the Dark Scale Pink skill will be automatically strengthened as Ayou advances.

Now, its scale powder not only contains paralyzing toxins and blinding abilities, but also has the unique vitality erosion effect of the netherworld poison. The water ghost catfish will definitely not feel comfortable if mixed into the water.

At the same time, the two siblings Zheng Ping and Zheng Yu also commanded the beasts and used interference and abnormal skills.

Under Zheng Yu’s order, the Acid Roaring Viper spit out a lot of debilitating toxins into the water, cooperating with Ayou as much as possible to weaken the water ghost catfish.

The electrostatic hedgehog continuously releases fine currents. Although it cannot directly penetrate the muddy water for electric shock, it forms a flashing grid on the surface of the muddy water.

As for Devil Dog and Daolang, who had almost no way to deal with the underwater beasts, they pulled the fishing net extra hard, trying to pull the water ghost catfish closer to the surface of the water.

Everyone took a multi-pronged approach and used various methods to force the water ghost catfish out of the water.

”Be careful, don’t get too close to the puddle!”

Seeing how everyone was so selfless in besieging the Water Ghost Catfish, Lu Dahu, while working hard, did not forget to remind him loudly.

Although the iron chrysalis fishing net is flexible enough to catch the struggling catfish and prevent it from diving deep into the muddy water, its binding force is average and cannot affect the movement of the catfish in the diving area.

When it feels that it has no hope of diving, it will most likely use its strange power to jump out of the water and attack the people and pets surrounding it.

A full blow from a gold-level fifth-level pet beast is enough to easily kill an unsuspecting human directly.

Sure enough, as soon as Lu Dahu finished speaking, the agitation on the water surface reached a climax.

Along with a wave of muddy water that was taller than a man, a large catfish with a dark body and a mouth as big as a bathtub suddenly rushed out and directly hit the target on the shore.

Fortunately, after seeing his size just now, Russell and the others took a few steps back, keeping themselves in a safer position where they would not be easily attacked directly.

This time the water ghost catfish launched an attack and had no choice but to attack a few pet beasts on the shore.

For wild beasts, survival and preying are always the first priority. When they choose an attack target, bullying is the most common criterion.

Sensing that several humans had left its attack range, the Demon Dog and Daolang seemed to be very good at close combat and were obviously not easy to mess with. It shook its fat body vigorously and bounced towards the static hedgehog at extremely fast speeds.

Among the contracted beasts of the Insect House Development Team, the Static Electric Hedgehog is the smallest and weakest. It seems that it can be easily dragged directly into the water.

With the simple hunting method of water ghost catfish, which calculates the attack effect based on size and strength, the electrostatic hedgehog is indeed the most suitable breakthrough point.

Unfortunately, it has lived in the Black Dew Forest since birth and has never seen this kind of electric beast from the Eastern Principality. It does not know that the electrostatic hedgehog’s ability can be regarded as its half-nemesis.

”Activate the grid!”

Seeing that the big mouth of the water ghost catfish was less than two meters away from his pet beast, Zheng Ping quickly gave the order to the static electricity hedgehog.

Sniff--!
Thanks to the courage he had developed following many hunts with the Black Tiger Team, the Static Electric Hedgehog did not panic at all when faced with the incoming water ghost catfish.

A somewhat cute cry sounded out, and the fine current it had left on the water surface exploded instantly, wrapping around the body of the water ghost catfish like several electric snakes.

Without the cover of mud and water, the restraint of electric beasts on water beasts is quite obvious.

Coupled with the powerful paralysis effect superimposed by the ”Multiple Sensing” talent, the water ghost catfish was directly deformed by the electricity when entangled by the power grid. It failed to hit anything and almost fell to the ground.

”Close the net with all your strength!”

Seeing this rare opportunity, Lu Dahu shouted loudly, not only commanding the devil dog to straighten its legs and retreat desperately, but he even rushed forward to help pull up the fishing net.

After struggling in the wild for several months, the Devil Dog’s potential has been greatly explored, and its strength has reached the mid-fourth level.

In addition, this kind of pet beast has almost all its attributes focused on strength. When it explodes with all its strength, the power of the devil dog is not even inferior to that of this early fifth-level water ghost catfish.

With the devil dog as the main force, everyone worked together and suddenly exerted force, successfully pulling most of the net out of the water.

After all this trouble, although the water ghost catfish was still not completely pulled to the shore, as the fishing net continued to close and rise, Russell could already see its figure directly through the muddy water.

”Ayou, Netherworld Explosion!”

”Acid Roaring Viper, Acid Bomb!”

”Snowy owl beast, boulder piercing!”

The muddy water less than thirty centimeters deep could no longer block energy attacks. As the long-range attackers in the team, Russell, Zheng Yu and He Qiuer immediately ordered their pet beasts to launch a fierce attack on the water ghost catfish.

The parasitic pet beast He Qiuer chose this time is called ”Snowfield Owl Beast”. It is a gold-level large bird pet beast. After being fused with the parasitic Gu, it still has the strength of the early fifth level.

Considering that the subsequent pioneering operations will be carried out in the forest, facing the widely distributed plant and wind wild pet beasts in the forest, the ice attribute can easily exert a restraining effect, which is a good choice.

Once an aquatic pet is stranded in a diving area, the space for movement will become extremely small, and it will basically become a living target. The three long-range attack beasts didn’t even need to take aim. They just poured out their firepower mindlessly, blasting ghost energy groups, poisonous fluids and boulders towards the still flopping water ghost catfish.

Acid bombs have the effect of reducing both defenses. After the skin is corroded by the acid, it is attacked by high-damage skills such as Nether Explosion and Boulder Pierce, leaving numerous scars on its body in the blink of an eye.

However, considering the bearing capacity of the fishing net, Russell still did not dare to let Ayou use all his firepower.

This time it did not use the Nightmare Butterfly Shadow, nor did it activate the shadow form. It just hovered in the air and released Nether Explosion one after another.

Realizing that being beaten unilaterally would sooner or later lead to death, Water Ghost Catfish once again used his signature skill of strangely powerful meat bombs and rushed out of the muddy water.

Whoa-!
This time, the target of its attack was Ayou, who seemed to be relatively thin.

Since the team started remote output, there was no electric grid deployed by the electrostatic hedgehog on the water. The attack of the water ghost catfish was unimpeded and powerful, and it looked like it was going to swallow Ayou alive.

woohoo...

”This big guy is so dirty!”

Looking at the water ghost catfish that was covered in mud and water, Ayou looked extremely disgusted, and directly stuffed a Nether Explosion that had been charged in advance into its big mouth.

At the same time, with the help of the floating ability brought by the fluff, Ayou himself can easily avoid the strange force impact, a skill that creates a large amount of airflow.

At such a close distance, the water ghost catfish had no time to close its open mouth, and could only swallow the ghost-type energy ball delivered to it.

hum...

The next moment, a dull explosion came directly from the mouth of the water ghost catfish. After being hit hard, it shook its body in pain and fell back into the water with a plop.

Although Ayou didn’t use all his strength and was suppressed at the same level, a Nether Explosion couldn’t instantly kill the thick-skinned Water Ghost Catfish.

However, throwing attack skills directly into the opponent’s weakly defended mouth is enough to cause serious damage.

Sure enough, after returning to the water hole, the water ghost catfish seemed to be completely frightened.

Even though the shallow muddy water couldn’t hide its body effectively, the water ghost catfish still sank to the bottom of the fishing net, using some low-to-mid-level water skills such as mud bombs and water bubbles in an unfamiliar way. It looked like it was fighting. I don’t want to float even to death.

However, this kind of pet beast is not good at long-range energy attacks. Even if the life energy level reaches the mid-level fifth level, it is still at an obvious low peak in a confrontation.

Coupled with being ambushed and pulled into shallow water, it could only use % of its strength at best.

As for the snake-like vines that coexisted with it, there was almost no room for intervention in this fierce battle. They flew away separately when the disaster came early, and got into the deep water through the mesh.

After all, there is more than one water ghost catfish in this muddy field. If this one is caught by someone, just change it and follow it. There is no need to risk your own life.

Even a weak pet beast at the bronze level can easily settle this account.

Without the information assistance of the snake-like vine, and being seriously injured, the water ghost catfish soon became exhausted and floated up with its belly turned over under the repeated bombardments of Ayou and the sour-roaring viper.

Seeing this, Lu Dahu quickly commanded the devil dog to exert force again and completely pulled it out of the water.

On land, the strength of fish beasts is often very low. At this point, the water ghost catfish has lost its last chance to resist.

Seeing that the water ghost catfish was not being honest, it swung its tail and tried to jump. The devil dog gave its head a few black hell blows, and finally made it completely quiet.

”The first wave of trapping was a perfect success!”

Seeing the big catfish captured through teamwork, Lu Dahu happily shouted to his teammates.

Although the Black Tiger Team has hunted fifth-level pet beasts before, the process was quite tortuous. They not only used poisoning, animal traps and other methods, but also tracked the target for several days after being injured. It was far from what it is today. Smooth.

After this battle, Lu Dahu also saw Russell’s current strength more clearly.

According to his own estimation, even if it had the advantage of attribute resistance, it would be difficult for it to withstand Ayou’s full output after turning on the phantom skill.

”Hey...it seems like we are no longer on the same level...”

With a hint of emotion, Lu Dahu sighed silently in his heart.

However, he and Russell had known each other since childhood and watched him go from being unable to pay the rent to becoming a well-known and successful entrepreneur in Senluo City and a new professional beast master with outstanding abilities...

Lu Dahu was very impressed with this brother and had no other strange emotions except envy.

”We’ve worked hard just now. Let’s take a break and set bait again. We will try to catch two more today! As long as the progress is fast enough, the bonus will be doubled this month!”

Seeing the devil dog pulling the water ghost catfish to the hillside outside the swamp, Russell was also very happy and generously said that as long as everyone worked hard, bonuses and benefits would be indispensable.

Because the preliminary preparations were quite complete, everyone actually completed the trapping without much effort. Now, not only are we not tired, but we feel high in fighting spirit and unfulfilled.

Hearing that there was an extra bonus, the Zheng family brothers and sisters, who were slightly money-obsessed, were even more excited and clamored to fish all night long.

After resting for a while, everyone re-selected a farther water hole and once again set up the trap according to the method just now.

With the first successful experience, the subsequent hunting process will be much simpler.

The Water Ghost Catfish does not have any powerful long-range attack means. If it is pulled into shallow water, the prelude of the attack of the strange meat bomb can be easily predicted through the water splash.

As long as everyone is a little careful, doesn’t be too aggressive, and is always ready to dodge when attacking, the water ghost catfish will not pose any threat to them.

During the trappings, Lu Dahu also continued to summarize and further optimize the trapping methods.

For example, let Collector 07 stay directly in the puddle where the net is set, and first turn on the dormant state that can greatly reduce energy fluctuations. After the water ghost catfish enters the net, it will be responsible for closing the first wave of nets.

As a mechanical pet responsible for logistics and transportation, Collector 07 has almost no attack capabilities, but it is more powerful than a demon dog.

With it joining the process of pulling the net, and working with the devil dog, the fishing net can be pulled up by one-third in the first wave of net pulling, and the team’s hunting speed has once again increased to a higher level.

In the next three or four days, Russell and the others repeated the same trapping operation more than a dozen times. Except for two or three failures when they caught some debris or other pet animals in the middle of the net, the pioneering team solved a total of nine water ghost catfish, large and small. .

With the size of this muddy land, it can only support a group of water ghost catfish of this size.

”After catching so many, there should be no adult water ghost catfish left in this area. As for the possible cubs, they won’t pose a threat to the transport vehicle in the short term. Let’s clean them up slowly when we have time.”

Another afternoon, after trapping for more than half a day without any harvest, Russell announced that the hunt for water ghost catfish had come to an end.

Seeing that it was still early, he then called Dingjia Construction Company, then turned back to several teammates and said sternly:
”I have contacted the construction team to come over and lay the temporary work. Let’s go first and clean up the wild beasts in the valley!” (End of Chapter)
