Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 197 Heading towards the pioneering camp!In order to show her loyalty, He Qiuer worked extra hard to make the poison. She said it would take two days, but in fact, it only took one night before she handed a bottle of pink and purple poison to Russell.

When inspecting the goods, Russell only touched it slightly with his fingers. Even if there was no wound, such slight skin contact made him obviously sleepy.

Russell was obviously quite satisfied with such a powerful hypnotic effect.

Among the many control-type abnormal effects, although sleep has the disadvantage of waking up when attacked or stimulated, it is the easiest to take effect and lasts the longest.

As long as the plague mosquitoes are allowed to suck these hypnotic poisons regularly, the intruder will fall into a coma unknowingly after being bitten, which is impossible to prevent.

However, with the pioneering action imminent, Russell was not in a hurry to immediately start breeding gray plague mosquitoes that could resist hypnosis.

After waiting for another day or two, after receiving the news that the broadsword mantis and the color-changing slug were in place, he embarked on the journey to open up the camp.

This trip to open up the wilderness would inevitably involve fighting, so he brought all the newly recruited security personnel on armored vehicles.

However, the regular production of pet beasts in the Imperial Insect House has now reached the level of several thousand, and it is also involved in the problem of supplying to companies such as Feiyi Shipping, so it is not easy to move them for the time being.

The pioneering operation is a long-term matter. Within half a year, Russell will definitely focus on the newly opened areas. It is not an option to always travel back and forth between the two places.

Therefore, he plans to directly place the breeding ground for the battle beasts in the secret realm of the Crystal Garden. When a batch is cultivated, they can immediately be put into the front line of the development war.

As for the daily business of Yuchongwu, during this period, it can only be left to Lu Yinning to take care of it.

When he first received the news, Lu Yinning was obviously hesitant.

After all, she is just a fledgling college student. Even if she uses the platform of Yuchongwu, she has been exposed to many big businesses recently, but she will still inevitably feel nervous if she has to be responsible for dealing with those big companies alone.

Fortunately, the communication technology in the world of beast control is quite advanced. Lu Yinning felt at ease after Russell promised to hold a regular video meeting with those partners every week.

In fact, when it comes to urban business, as long as there are no people like the Fire Thief Group coming to cause trouble, there is nothing to worry about.

The pet beasts bred with the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent are of outstanding quality. In Senluo City and even the surrounding areas, there are no insect pet beast houses that can compete with the insect house for its core business.

As long as you maintain daily operations and ensure that the quality of the products does not decline, it will be the seller’s business that others are begging to buy the beasts from the Insect House. It’s a great job.

…………

After taking care of the trivial matters in the Imperial Insect House, Russell and his team successfully returned to the temporary camp deep in the jungle in a military armored vehicle.

After this period of preliminary development, the Senluo City Beast Control Alliance has laid roads along the way to the camp, so they did not encounter attacks from wild beasts along the way.

However, this does not mean that the area from Senluo City to the entrance of Crystal Garden has been completely developed into a stable human living area.

Because generally speaking, pet beasts in the wild will not gather too much, otherwise there will be insufficient resources and vicious competition.

Under normal conditions, the number of pet beasts living along this journey is limited, and a wave of mid-level beast masters will be enough to clear them out.

Wild pet beasts follow the instinct of seeking advantages and avoiding disadvantages to survive. When they are suddenly attacked by a large number of beast masters, they will choose to escape as soon as they realize that they cannot resist.

As long as you are not extremely unlucky and disturb the lair of high-level pet beasts from the beginning, the early stages of a pioneering war will usually go smoothly.

However, the war between humans and pet beasts started when the native pet beasts in an area were completely driven away.

Once the wise mid-to-high-level pet beasts come to their senses and realize that humans are not just passing by to collect resources, but intend to occupy wild areas permanently, they will become relentless.

At that time, the pet beasts in a large area will put aside their usual hostility and hunting relationship, and form a tide of beasts under the leadership of the lord, attacking the human settlements in waves.

Based on past experience in pioneering wars and combined with the distribution of pet beasts in the Black Dew Forest, Senluo City Alliance officials estimate that the first wave of all-out beast tides should arrive in half a month.

Therefore, the Beast Control Alliance is now gathering all the resources of Senluo City to build various defense fortifications as quickly as possible.

Of course, resisting the beast tide head-on is an official matter for the alliance. What Russell has to worry about now is mainly promoting the insect beasts and establishing a foothold in this new development area.

If you want to implement these arrangements smoothly, you must not only raise the mantis quickly, but also quickly find a place for the insect house to build its factory and storefront.

Among them, the place to breed pet beasts is not bad. Anyway, Russell has the exclusive right to breed the crystal ants. As long as he is willing, all other types of harmless pet beasts can be raised in the secret realm.

However, it is not so easy to find a place to engage in business activities.

After all, although the space in the secret realm is large, it does not seem so spacious when it is divided into various important institutions and organizations in Senluo City.

Moreover, in order to protect the special environment of the secret realm from being destroyed, the institutions that can establish a stronghold inside the secret realm must be quite rational, and will strictly control the number of people entering the secret realm.

Things like pet shops, restaurants, and even shopping streets are open to tourists for sightseeing, so don’t even think about taking any advantage of them.

So Russell now has two options.

One is to wait patiently, wait for the Beast Control Alliance to stabilize the surrounding area, and then use his status as the ultimate master of the secret realm to allocate a part of the land to open a branch.

It’s just that no matter how strong Russell’s relationship is, it’s impossible for him to really monopolize this core area.

The area passively waiting to be allocated is definitely quite limited. It is obviously impossible to use it to open two stores, form some insect-related industries, or even reserve a place to build a gym.

Secondly, choose a direction by yourself and simply occupy part of the land in the name of development.

The land obtained through this channel is undoubtedly many times larger than waiting for the alliance to allocate, and it can also gain the greatest autonomy in site selection.

Of course, the corresponding price is that you have to bear the costs and risks of development yourself.

”I plan to open up an area on my own and use it as the second base of the Insect House. Are you willing to join me? No forcing.”

After thinking for a moment, Russell made up his mind and then asked everyone around him.

For things like this that may cause injury or even burping, he must fully seek the opinions of every main player.

If you are unwilling to do so, look forward to the end, and run away at the critical moment, you might as well not go in the first place.

Anyway, the security guard on Fenglin Road is also short of manpower. Those who don’t want to take risks can go to the old breeding factory to work as security guards, and the salary will not be too low.

”You still need to ask? Aren’t we here just to participate in the pioneering war?”

Fortunately, Lu Dahu and several teammates were militants who were uneasy about the status quo. They were eager to have a fight and agreed without thinking.

”There’s no problem with me here, I will do my best to ensure your safety...”

As for He Qiuer, who now regards Russell as a life-saving straw, there will be no objections.

As a powerful Gu Insect Master, she has been wandering in the wild for a long time without worrying about her own safety.
Moreover, the treatment methods shown by Russell are far better than those of the Stealing Fire Group. For the future of He Xia and the whole family, even if Russell does not mention it, He Qiuer will follow him closely.Seeing how motivated the first group of people he recruited were, Russell smiled happily.

”Hello young people, it’s not that dangerous to open up the semi-developed areas nearby. Please take it easy.”

Just as the people in the Imperial Chongwu House were discussing how to choose a location and what kind of battle they might encounter, a familiar voice suddenly came from beside the armored vehicle.

Russell looked back and saw that the person coming was Tu Tiezhu, a city defense officer whom he was relatively familiar with.

He has now joined the guard corps of the temporary camp and is also the liaison between Russell and the garrison corps in Senluo City.

The semi-development zone mentioned by Tu Tiezhu actually refers to the wild land that the main force of the alliance’s pioneering army has pushed through, but has not carefully searched or laid any infrastructure.

The risk of developing these areas is indeed much lower than developing completely wild lands.

In the semi-developed area, except for the official reserved areas of the alliance, other areas can be developed by any Senluo citizens and organizations on their own, turning them into their own legal land.

The reason why the alliance is so generous is that on the one hand it is rushing to build stable transportation lines and military factories to resist the coming beast tide, and it really has no time to consider complete urban planning.

On the other hand, it is also because they are happy to see all the people participating in the pioneering war.

After all, real field exploration is not like a game, with clear locations for spawning monsters and level ranges.

The roads in the forest extend in all directions, especially for pet beasts. A cave, a stream, or even a vine can become a passage for them to sneak into.

Everyone spends money and effort to develop these places, which will naturally eliminate the sporadic wild pet beasts. In fact, it is equivalent to reducing a lot of pressure on the defense rear of the Senluo City Beast Control Alliance.

Furthermore, what the Black Dew Forest lacks is not land, but the power to develop.

It is better to let local companies and organizations take advantage and gain a foothold in the development zone as soon as possible than to fail to develop and then take advantage of people from other cities.

Considering that the alliance’s development operations had already begun, Russell did not want to waste time. With Tu Tiezhu’s assistance, he quickly submitted a development application to the alliance officials.

Naturally, Yan Songbai fully supports the application of the most closely connected households at this stage, and marked several places on the map for him that are comprehensively cost-effective.

”Just here, I think this area is pretty good!”

After holding the map and looking at it for a moment, Russell stretched out his hand and clicked on a location not far from the core camp.

The semi-developed area he selected is less than five kilometers away from the entrance to the secret realm, and the terrain is similar to a honeypot valley, surrounded by mountains on three sides, and with a small river passing through the middle. It can be said that it is quite suitable for the development of breeding industry.

If properly developed, the resources in this valley are enough to feed tens of thousands of small beasts and accommodate thousands of people.

What’s even more rare is that there are many swamps scattered around the valley.

The swamps in the forest are of varying depths and are likely to be swallowed up once you step into them. It is a very difficult terrain to navigate.

If you raise some pet animals that are good at controlling quicksand and silt, or are poisonous aquatic insects, it will undoubtedly be another reliable security barrier.

However, the advantages that the insect house can enjoy after fully mastering the quagmire are now challenges that Russell must face.

With such a good geographical location, the reason why it was not selected by the alliance officials to build important facilities such as water, electricity, energy supply, and hospitals is that the swampland in front of the valley is too difficult to deal with.

At least, Senluo City Alliance officials don’t have time to slowly explore and fill in this area now.

However, before heading to the valley to open up future territory, Russell also re-entered the secret realm of the Crystal Garden.

…………

Lu Dahu and the others couldn’t help with the cultivation matters. They temporarily placed the employees in the rest area of the camp. Russell only brought Liang Kun to the crystallization secret realm.

A few days ago, he used the space hub to lift the entry restrictions for insect beast masters here. At this time, the secret realm has become a lot more lively.

Among them, the most intuitive change is that there is a lot of green on the bare mountains.

As soon as he passed through the space rift, Russell saw a huge tree beast extending its roots, pouring life energy into the gray soil, spawning bunches of green grass seedlings.

The woman standing next to this ancient tree of life is Ye Qingyu, the leader of the Green Leaf Gym.

Let the local gyms close down and invite the gym owners to the secret realm to help restore the ecology, which shows that the Senluo City Beast Taming Alliance attaches great importance to this pioneering operation.

In addition, Ye Qingyu is surrounded by many animal masters who drive plant-type beasts. They also command the beasts to display their strengths, adding a touch of green to the bare rock wall.

The five senses of a high-level beast master are much stronger than those of ordinary people. Russell had only taken a few steps when Ye Qingyu saw him from a distance.

I heard about Russell’s deeds of arguing hard at resource allocation meetings and winning a lot of benefits for Senluo City. She also seemed very enthusiastic with her strong feelings about her hometown.

”Hello, our great hero in Senluo City!”

Jumping down the hillside in three steps and two steps at a time, Ye Qingyu took the initiative to shake hands with Russell, obviously putting him on an equal footing with her.

”Master Ye, long time no see.”

Recalling the difficulty of his first gym battle, Russell also had great respect for this outstanding young gym leader.

”Master Ye, this is the plant breeder of the Imperial Insect House. I want her to work with you to restore the secret ecology and learn something along the way. Will it cause any trouble?”

After the greetings, Russell got straight to the point and explained his purpose.

Ye Qingyu naturally had no objection to this and immediately agreed.

The secret realm of the Crystal Garden is vast, and even with the energy support provided by the roots of the World Tree, repairing the environment will require a large number of manpower.

In just the past few days, the alliance officials have recruited many third- and fourth-level individual beast masters with clean family backgrounds.

Compared with them, the plant breeders recommended by Russell were more than 01:30 better in terms of professionalism and reliability.

As for what Russell said about learning something, Ye Qingyu certainly knew what it meant.

As long as the other party works well, she doesn’t mind providing some advice as a high-level beast master and plant cultivation expert of the same attribute during the process of working together.

After finding a rare opportunity for Liang Kun to further his studies, Russell didn’t stay long and continued walking into the secret realm.

The broadsword mantises and color-changing slugs that he had prepared by contacting the Senluo City Beast Control Research Institute were now stored in the worm pasture he had visited previously. (End of chapter)
