Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 163 Nether PoisonAfter sorting out the existing business of the Imperial Insect House, and slightly arranging some tasks that were not available, Russell focused on the cultivation of pet beasts.

During this period, Yuchongwu also recruited a group of ordinary staff one after another. With Lu Yinning and Liang Kun helping to manage it, he basically didn’t have to worry too much.

After taking care of these trivial matters, Russell devoted himself to the preparations for Ayou’s evolution.

After experiencing several pet beast evolutions, Russell also accumulated some experience.

To achieve a good evolutionary effect, the most important things are two points, the energy ratio and the skill configuration.

With Ayou’s current growth rate, it is easy to reach the threshold for advancement, but in order for it to smoothly evolve into the underworld moth, Russell still needs to make some special preparations.

Although the Underworld Butterfly does not have poison-type attributes, one of its important abilities is the all-pervasive netherworld poison, so Russell plans to find some poison-type materials to add to Ayou’s advanced materials.

However, toxins are actually a very general concept. Regardless of their toxicity or source, they can be subdivided into many types, such as biological toxins, energy toxins, or mental toxins.

The Nether Poison is a relatively rare compound life toxin that can directly and simply reduce the target’s vitality.

If the cultivation process goes astray, Ayou may evolve in a completely different direction.

Various toxins have their own strengths, and Nether Poison is not the strongest toxin. However, since I have chosen to evolve into the template of the Underworld Moth, it is better to copy it as much as possible.

After thinking about it, Russell felt that it would be best to use the original Nether Poison as the cultivation material.

However, Nether Poison is a completely dangerous product. If it comes into direct contact or is ingested by mistake, even a serious high-level beast master may be seriously injured, and ordinary people will die suddenly in minutes.

Moreover, this toxin does not have a special antidote in the conventional sense. The poisoned person can only offset the erosion of the toxin by spending a lot of life force.

In other words, except for a small number of medical beast masters who have vitality infusion methods, other medical staff can only panic when they encounter patients who are poisoned by the netherworld.

What’s even worse is that the Nether Poison is light-colored and odorless, making it very difficult to detect when used for poisoning.

Therefore, this thing has been strictly controlled by the Beast Control Alliance from the day it was discovered, and it is impossible to buy it from ordinary channels.

Russell also relied on Senluo City’s Beast Control Research Institute and Feiyi Shipping Company to obtain a small bottle of light gray Nether Poison Solution.

The Nether Toxin content in this solution accounts for about %, and the other % is stabilizers and neutralizers, so as to prevent the toxin from escaping and endangering the user’s life.

A % concentration of toxin may be difficult to kill mid-level and above opponents, but it should be enough for making advanced materials.

It can even be said that such thoughtful distribution saved Russell the trouble of finding ways to dilute and stabilize the toxins.

After all, Ayou himself is also a living pet beast. Even though he has ghost attributes and has initially mastered the ability to transform into a spirit body, and has a high degree of immunity to toxins, it is still easy to cause trouble if he directly takes high-purity ghost poison.

”This thing is a rare compound toxin, the special skill of purple-gold level pet beasts?”

Gently shaking the glass bottle in his hand and observing the traces of light gray energy in the transparent solution, Russell felt that the famous Nether Poison was relatively unremarkable in terms of appearance.

However, poisoning is always a sinister thing, and it seems reasonable that it doesn’t have a strong sense of existence.

According to the materials sent by Dr. Xiamu, Russell also gained a better understanding of the poison of the netherworld.

This toxin is essentially a highly concentrated aura of death.

Due to some special reasons, the breath of death continues to accumulate somewhere, surpassing the cold characteristics of the general ghost system, thus producing an effect that can directly harm living beings. This is the source of the poison of the netherworld.

Therefore, in addition to the scale powder and energy of the underworld moth, the poison of the netherworld can also be extracted from some pet animals that have lived in the tomb for a long time, or from the miasma poison pool where the bones are buried.

There are still many taboos that need to be paid attention to when using this toxin as a cultivation material.

First of all, you must pay attention to the dosage when taking it. Even if it is diluted ten times, the Nether Toxic Solution must not be suffocated in one gulp.

By taking a trace amount of the Nether Poison, relying on the pet beast’s self-generated vitality recovery speed, and combining it with some vitality-rich cultivation materials, one can slowly digest and adapt to the Nether Toxin.

However, during the cultivation period, the dose of Nether Toxin should not be too small.

If the poison is completely covered by the beast’s recovery ability, the beast will only feel slightly tired and weak, and the effect of toxin cultivation will basically not be achieved.

What’s even more complicated is that each pet’s physical condition is different, and the intensity of the poison they can adapt to is also different.

Since few pet beasts use Nether Poison as a breeding material, in the absence of cases, the classification can basically only be estimated by the beast master himself.

Thinking that it would take several days to finish drinking these extremely poisonous solutions from the underworld, Russell started this somewhat dangerous cultivation on the tenth day after Ayou maintained his spiritual form.

”One drop of Nether Poisonous Solution, half a cup of warm orange juice, three slices of fragrant mint...”

Because the article said that the limit of the third-level pet beast’s ability to withstand the poisonous concentration of the netherworld was only %, he simply found a formula for the most common vitality potion to serve as a secondary blender.

The ingredients are all fruits and herbs that ordinary people can eat, and the effect of restoring vitality is slow and gentle.

While adding an extra layer of insurance, it will not cause the vitality in Ayou’s body to be inflated and wash away the repeatedly diluted Nether poison.

call……

”It’s so hard, what is this?”

After stretching out the straw and taking a few sips of the juice mixed with the deadly poison of the netherworld, Ayou suddenly felt uncomfortable and immediately complained to Russell.

”...This is poison.”

Thinking of the irritating scene where this rebellious son always contradicted him some time ago, Russell deliberately showed a sinister expression on his face.

Huhu——? ?

”What the hell?? So love disappears, right?”

Hearing this, Ayou was shocked, and she couldn’t help but play out the painful love drama about her master’s pet that she had watched while squatting on Russell’s shoulder.

In the plot, the poor little wolf dog was ignored, left out, and even abandoned because his strength did not grow as fast as the new pet beast!

I didn’t expect that I, Ayou, would also have this day, wuwu...

”Okay, okay...this is the cultivation material for the poison system, prepared for your advancement.”

Unexpectedly, Ayou is still a child at heart. After teasing it for a while, it burst into tears and felt aggrieved. Russell quickly coaxed it up.

woohoo hoo...

”Stop comforting me, I’m strong! I can take care of myself!”

Unexpectedly, Ayou really watched too many TV dramas and couldn’t get out of the drama for a long time. She still cried and said she wanted to live as a bug.

”Eating this thing will make you stronger. Just tell me whether you want to eat it or not!” After a few minutes of comforting him, Russell rolled his eyes at Ayou speechlessly when he saw that Ayou was still uncompromising.

call……?
”Become stronger...? How strong can you become?”

Sure enough, the combat power move had an outstanding effect on Ayou. Once he heard that it could make him stronger, he put away his sad drama and asked energetically.

”Look, half of your kin, the Underworld Moth, is a purple-gold pet beast. The nether poison he releases can kill people silently.”

Holding Ayou firmly, Russell took out his cell phone and showed it the information on the underworld moth sent by the Senluo City Beast Control Research Institute.

In the video, a big black moth is constantly shuttling through the forest, and behind it there is a high-level hunting team of ten people hunting it down.

Upon closer inspection, it is five points similar to the UFO Hawk Moth, except that the black wings are almost entirely spiritual.

Many attacks fired from behind penetrated through the hazy black and failed to cause substantial damage to the underworld moth.

In the process of escaping, Huangquan Moth did not use any powerful high-level skills.

Watching it spread scale powder for a while, and use low-level skills such as shadow arrows and frightening shadows, it seems that its offensive ability is very poor.

However, if you look carefully, you can see traces of gray mist gradually appearing in the forest.

The yellow spring moth flew back and forth around the forest several times, and the fog in the forest became slightly thicker.

When the gray mist reached a certain concentration, they seemed to be alive, and they rushed towards the hunting team members and their pets.

When using ghost or poison skills, you can leave the nether poison in the air and automatically search for nearby creatures to attack. This is how the nether poison takes effect.

These hunting team members chasing the underworld moth obviously knew how terrible the poison of the nether world was. They all wore protective clothing and gas masks, looking like they were fully prepared.

But despite this, about 10 minutes later, these hunting team members, who were at least fifth-level beast masters, still fell down one by one.

If the medical team hadn’t arrived in time, these hunting team members might have been in serious danger.

Unlike ordinary toxins that can be filtered or easily resolved by special medicines, they have a certain tracking effect on vitality. This is the most terrifying thing about the nether poison.

Whoosh-!
”It’s too strong. This juice is not bitter at all. Give me a few more cups!”

After watching the video, Ayou had completely forgotten the painful drama just now. It drank up the diluted venom that Russell had just prepared in one gulp, and shouted for more.

”...You can only drink a little at a time. Do you really want to be poisoned to death?”

Seeing Ayou’s anxious look, Russell felt that there was nothing he could do with it.

After talking for a long time, Ayou finally gave up the idea of secretly drinking the Nether poisonous solution. He felt tired.

The job of coaxing children is really more tiring than fighting with others...

However, the effect of the Nether Poisonous Solution was really indescribable. After drinking a small cup of the twice-diluted advanced material, one percent of the poisonous energy appeared in Ayou’s body.

However, the threshold for understanding the ability of Nether Poison is relatively high, and there is no related skill development in its information column yet.

In addition, Ayou’s message also showed a negative status called ”Netherworld Poison”, which lasted for three hours.

”Is there something wrong with you?”

In order to ensure that Ayou would not have any accidents, Russell would ask how it was feeling every ten minutes.

woohoo...

”Just a little bit tired, as if I had been in a fight without rest.”

Fortunately, apart from signs of slight excessive consumption of vitality, Ayou had no other discomfort.

Therefore, Russell waited for the poisoning state to completely disappear, and then fed Ayou the twice-diluted Nether Toxic Solution.

After repeating this cycle for three days, the poison energy in Ayou’s body reached %, and the skill comprehension information finally appeared in the ability development column.

”UFO Hawkmoth

Growth progress: 81%

Among them, insect energy accounts for 38%, ghost energy accounts for 29%, spiritual energy accounts for 14%, and poison energy accounts for 8%.
Ability development:

Ethereal power (not yet unlocked, energy disintegration proficiency 20%)

Nether Poison (not yet unlocked, life force control proficiency 15%, poison use proficiency 10%)”

According to this progress, by the time Ayou evolves, the proficiency of the Nether Poison skill will almost reach over %.

Coupled with the large amount of energy and potential released during evolution, it is not impossible to reach % to % proficiency in one go.

At that time, as long as it takes all the Iron Chrysalis silkworms in the No. Breeding Room as clansmen, and earns a lot of evolutionary resources, it might be able to use up all the Nether Poison skills at once.

In addition, after maintaining the spirit form for several days, Russell also discovered an additional surprise in Ayou.

That is the basic night field that I mastered when I challenged the gym before, and the advanced conditions have been initially unlocked.

”Elementary night field: When releasing ghost skills, energy residue can be formed, reducing the light brightness and visibility within a certain range.

Not advanced yet, spiritual transformation level 40%, domain control proficiency 25%, advanced shadow control 10%
Post-advanced effects: Improved domain coverage, improved brightness reduction effect, and enhanced ability to control shadows within the domain.”

When I first understood this skill, the name ”elementary” night field indicated that there would definitely be a series of advancements in the future.

Moreover, domain skills are a symbol of powerful pet beasts, and the effect cannot be as simple as reducing the brightness and visibility.

Russell is completely mentally prepared for the advancement in the night field.

The mid-level night field, in addition to improving the basic visual interference effect, also adds a shadow control ability, which undoubtedly becomes more practical.

Moreover, this advancement direction also shows that if you wait for the Night Realm to advance a few more times, you can really develop into the Moon Demon Rabbit’s ability to control shadows and even directly turn day into night.

At the same time, the effect of the Night Field is very similar to that of Nether Poison. It also generates energy residue through the release of skills to continuously superimpose the effect.

The two skills combined can fully produce the effect of one plus one greater than two.

Just imagine, as the battle continues, the opponent not only realizes that he can’t see clearly what’s going on in the field, but his pet beast also starts to get poisoned. That scene will definitely be exciting. (End of chapter)
