Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 180 The Difficulties of the SiblingsChapter 180 The Difficulties of the Siblings
”My skills are inferior to others, I have nothing to say,”

It does not take an instant for the parasitic Gu to change its target. It takes at least half a day from paralyzing the target to occupying its nervous system.

The moment the Knife-footed Centipede’s body collapsed, He Qiuer knew that he no longer had the capital to continue competing.

Before entering the secret realm, she knew that her opponent this time was an official alliance, and she also understood the benefits of a large secret realm.

As the saying goes, the winner is the king and the loser is the enemy. Now that the two sides have fought, there is definitely no way to make peace.

He Qiuer was convinced because he had the upper hand, but was unable to defeat several opponents whose levels were much lower than his own.

”It’s just that I want to know what method you used to break my Gu insect’s rage.”

But she was indeed a little bit upset about the inexplicable interruption of the Gu insect’s rampage.

After all, this beast-control talent is a symbol of strength for the Gu Insect Master. Being able to awaken the ”Insect Violence” talent and become the leader of the younger generation of the family has always been He Qiuer’s greatest pride.

If the Beast Control Alliance really mastered some method to easily break the rage, then it would not only be her who would lose, but the entire group of Gu Insect Masters.

”The principle of your Gu insect violent talent is to burn the vitality of parasitic beasts to support the unreasonable body structure in exchange for explosive combat power, right?”

Hearing He Qiuer’s question, Russell did not rush to answer, but asked her a question.

Relying on the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent, he could clearly see the changes in the Blade-footed Centipede during the battle.

Although after turning on the Gu insect’s violent state, its theoretical energy intensity has increased and its body has become more suitable for attacks, the energy inside the body is actually extremely disordered.

The carapace of centipede beasts was originally interlocked with no obvious gaps.

This structure not only ensures the flexibility of the body, but also takes into account physical defense and protection of internal organs as much as possible, which is in line with the evolutionary direction of normal organisms.

However, after turning violent, the sword-footed centipede tore most of the joints open, exposing a large amount of flesh and blood directly to the enemy’s sight.

In addition, its exaggerated twisting exceeds the limit that its own flesh and blood can withstand, and it will cause the joint tissue to lose activity and toughness in a short time.

From the perspective of body composition, this kind of joint composition cannot support the body of the sword-footed centipede, which weighs dozens of kilograms.

The reason why the violent pet beast can continue to fight for several minutes is entirely supported by the high amount of energy obtained by burning its vitality.

In the insect energy exploration information provided by the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent, Russell saw that its vitality was consumed at a high speed and turned into a set of almost energy-based bones and joints.

From this point of view, the way Gu Insect Fury works is actually somewhat similar to the sacrifice skills that are defined as evil ways.

The essential difference between the two is probably that the sacrifice skill will directly overdraw the body of the beast master, while the Gu insect violent overdraft is the parasitized pet beast.

Then, Ayou’s Nether Realm can break the blood sacrifice of the shadow priest, and naturally it can be violent against the Gu insects.

In other words, Nether Toxin restrains all skills that rely on overdrafting vitality in exchange for short-term combat effectiveness.

After all, whether they are humans or pet beasts, their vitality is quite limited, and skills that overdraft their vitality often last only a short time.

As long as the target’s vitality consumption rate is accelerated, this type of skill will be self-defeating.

Those like shadow priests who use their own life force may even suffer severe damage directly, achieving the effect of killing without blood.

However, the berserk rage does not consume the beast master’s vitality, so He Qiu’er herself didn’t feel much about it, and she still hasn’t come back to it.

”At the beginning of the battle, your pet beast was poisoned by the poison of the netherworld. In this case, if you activate the skill of overdrafting your vitality, it is already very good to last for 2 minutes.”

Seeing He Qiuer’s unexpected free and easy attitude and her protectiveness towards her younger brother, Russell also satisfied her little curiosity.

Anyway, with his plan to participate in many gym challenges in the future, Ayou’s Nether Poison skills will be revealed to the public sooner or later. As long as he doesn’t tell her everything about the field, it won’t reveal his trump card.

Hearing this, He Qiuer suddenly realized.

During the battle just now, the parasitic Gu did feedback to her that the energy of the parasitic body was losing too quickly.

However, He Qiuer was very angry about He Xia’s injury at that time, and felt that having more than a dozen sword-footed centipedes was really stressful and consumed energy quickly, so he didn’t pay much attention to it.

Now that I think about it, the sword-footed centipede’s life force is losing more than three times faster than normal. It’s true that I was too careless.

However, after learning the real reason for the Gu insect’s violent collapse, her concern eased a lot.

Although the nether poison that can erode the target’s vitality is indeed very restrained from the Gu insect’s rage, this restraint is not unsolvable.

The poison can be defended in advance, and it takes time to take effect. In theory, it can only reduce the duration of the Gu insect’s rage by a percentage, rather than directly cracking the core talent of the Gu insect master family.

As long as it is not in this secret realm where only insect-type beasts are available, Parasitic Gu can completely circumvent this shortcoming by parasitic beasts that are resistant to toxins or have abundant vitality.

After all, one of the most difficult abilities of a Gu Insect Master is to use different parasitic beasts to target the opponent’s weaknesses.

Besides, Nether Poison is not an easy skill to learn. Even in the Beast Taming Alliance with many talented people, only a few can master this poison.

Thinking about it this way, this defeat was due to his underestimation of the enemy and bad luck, and the non-gu insect master clan was completely manipulated by the Beast Control Alliance.

After confirming this, He Qiuer breathed a sigh of relief.

However, the young beastmaster from the Beastmaster Alliance in front of him is really not that simple.

She can cultivate two insect-type pet beasts to a level that is not inferior to her family’s parasitic Gu. The skill configuration of each one is better than the other, and she even mastered the extremely rare skill of Nether Poison...

If she could have grasped this information earlier, even if the Thieving Fire Group told her a flower, she would not have to take a trip into this muddy water.

Unfortunately, it seems too late to say this now.

Although the Beast Mastering Alliance is not as ruthless as the Fire Pirates, and does not kill people directly when they come up, the Alliance officially has a complete set of public security laws...

Participating in the Fire Stealing Group operation, attacking the alliance’s official exploration team, and the fact that the siblings were wanted for some things before, I’m afraid they will be jailed.

If the Southern Principality has any development plans recently, it is quite possible that as a serious criminal, he will be sent as a death squad to perform certain dangerous missions.

Just when He Qiuer looked resigned and was waiting for Jiang Xue and Chen Yuan to put energy-suppressing handcuffs on her, Russell suddenly stepped forward and asked her an unexpected question:

”I answered your question. Miss He, please tell me about your own situation. Your and your brother’s health don’t seem to be very good?”

As early as the beginning of the fight, Russell could tell that there was something wrong with He Xia.

According to the wanted record of the two of them, although He Xia is not as strong as his sister, he has defeated many middle-level peace officers in the alliance with the special characteristics of the parasitic Gu.

However, in today’s encounter between the two exploration teams, he was almost always idle.

Even though He Qiuer suffered a loss in one against three, He Xia did not help.

It was at the critical moment when the two of them were about to be hit by the Nether Explosion that he was forced to summon the rusty snail controlled by his parasitic Gu.

And the rusty snail was instantly killed by the Nether Explosion released by Butterfly Shadow, which further confirmed Russell’s thoughts.

Logically speaking, this kind of defensive pet beast mainly focuses on rough skin and thick flesh.

After being parasitized, the rusty snail’s level has been upgraded to the mid-to-late fourth level. Even if it comes out in a hurry and has no time to activate any defensive skills, it can absorb a lot of skills based on its own physical fitness.

It can be instantly killed by a Nether Explosion with 20.00% power. This physique is too fragile for a meat shield beast.

There are only two possible reasons for this situation. Either the rusty snail He Xia chose to parasitize is itself very weak, or there is something wrong with his parasitic Gu itself. However, if you think about it for a moment, you will realize that the first scenario is extremely unlikely.

There are a lot of rusty snails in the secret realm. In such an important operation, He Xia will naturally not choose a defective or diseased snail to parasitize.

Therefore, the only reasonable explanation is that the strength of his parasitic Gu itself has been damaged.

After inferring this situation, Russell almost immediately had a more bold conjecture.

Gu Insect Master, this name sounds a bit evil.

Moreover, the group of beast masters who have strong strength but are not welcomed by the beast master alliance probably have some flaws.

Maybe the Gu masters in the world of beast control, just like those legends about refining Gu in this world, will be eaten by their pet beasts.

Based on this conjecture, after defeating He Qiuer and confirming that there was no danger, Russell activated his ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent and carefully felt the auras of the two people.

Although the various cultivation abilities of the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent can only be used on pet beasts, facing pure insect beast masters like the He family siblings, Russell wanted to feel their energy fluctuations, so there was no problem.

It didn’t matter if he didn’t feel it. He touched He Qiu’er and He Xia with energy threads at close range. He was directly startled by the chaotic energy in the two siblings’ bodies.

From the energy fluctuations emanating from the two of them, Russell actually felt that there were more than a dozen different energies running around.

It stands to reason that with so much chaotic energy filling the beast-controlling space, even if one does not explode and die, the space will collapse long ago and he will become a useless person.

But although He Xia was very sick, He Qiuer fought so fiercely that it didn’t look like there was anything wrong with him.

The Gu Insect Master was more or less a fellow insect master. Driven by curiosity, Russell couldn’t help but ask He Qiu’er, who was working for the Fire Stealing Group.

”It seems that the Beast Control Alliance is really a crouching tiger, hidden dragon. The secrets of my Gu Insect Master clan were actually revealed by you at a glance...”

Hearing this, He Qiuer’s eyes flashed with an unexpected light, but more of it was sadness.

Anyway, now the only parasitic Gu with fighting power between her siblings has been knocked out of its original shape. With the remaining parasitic Gu parasitizing the rusty snail, it is completely impossible to make a comeback.

In a mood that was half showing off and half confiding, He Qiuer slowly talked about the hardships of being a Gu Insect Master.

It turns out that although pet beasts like the Contract Parasite Gu can obtain power beyond that of ordinary beast masters, they do have to pay a high price.

First of all, the souls of this kind of pet beast and the beast master are bound to a high degree, almost to the point of living and dying together.

Once you make a contract with a parasitic Gu larvae, don’t even think about terminating the contract in this life.

If the contract is forcibly terminated, most Gu Insect Masters will die on the spot. Even if rare materials are used to protect the soul, there is a high probability that they will become a useless person who can no longer open the beast control space.

The Gu Insect Master clan is basically a family inheritance, and the growth rate of Parasitic Gu is slow. Almost every Gu Insect Master contracted the Parasitic Gu when they were children, and they have no right to choose at all.

Secondly, although parasitic Gu is special, it is still a pet beast after all. When not fighting, they also have to live in the beast control space.

However, unlike other pet beasts whose attributes and energy intensity are stable, parasitic Gu has to change its body every once in a while, and its parasitic goals are not the same.

It is this characteristic that causes the energy in the Gu insect master’s beast control space to be particularly chaotic.

Even if they are suppressed by special means inherited from their families, the bodies of many Gu Insect Masters will gradually deteriorate over time.

In He Qiuer’s impression, most Gu insect masters would not live past the age of 40.

As for the reason why she is in good physical condition now, it is entirely because of her superb beast-controlling talent.

The talent of Gu Insect Violence not only provides explosive benefits during combat, but also represents the high degree of compatibility between the beast master and the parasitic Gu.

In other words, He Qiuer’s beast-controlling space is inherently capable of withstanding all kinds of chaotic energy, and can even automatically purify it and refine it into nutrients that the parasitic Gu can absorb.

Because of this, she was able to cultivate a late-stage fourth-order parasitic Gu when she was in her twenties, and she also had a second Gu for self-defense.

Unfortunately, He Qiuer’s younger brother did not have such good luck.

His talent for controlling beasts was mediocre and was not of much help in controlling Gu insects. His body began to collapse visibly after he reached the age of 25.

The Fire Stealing Group possesses an ancient medicine that can suppress the backlash of Gu insects. In order to get the medicine from their hands to extend their lives, the Gu insect masters have done a lot of things against their will, and the rate of being wanted is also quite high.

Some time ago, the high-level shadow priests of the Fire Stealing Group suddenly came to their door, claiming to have discovered a large insect-type secret realm, and promised that after taking control of this secret realm, they would completely help them solve the backlash problem.

Therefore, the Gu Insect Master clan would not hesitate to conflict with the Beast Control Alliance head-on, but also help them explore the secret realm.

However, the Gu Insect Master did not 100% believe in the Fire Stealing Group, so He Qiuer brought He Xia into the secret realm, thinking that if he found a treasure that could really alleviate the backlash, he would use it directly, lest those lunatics regret it.

However, she really didn’t expect to meet a fierce man like Russell, and her ideal strategy of one dozen and more was severely slapped in the face.

”...It’s really miserable. It can be called the 35-year-old unemployment crisis in the beast-controlling world.”

After listening to He Qiuer’s description, Russell sighed silently in his heart.

”What she said is probably not a lie. The Gu Insect Master has a lot of criminal records, but there are really not many vicious crimes...”

At this time, Chen Yuan also expressed his opinions to Russell.

As a former garrison member, he was quite impressed by the Gu Insect Master’s wanted files.

Most of these people used the parasitism and camouflage abilities of the parasite Gu to steal resources and intelligence. However, there were very few murders on their hands, so the alliance did not vigorously encircle and suppress them.

From this point of view, He Qiuer is not a bad person.

A good sister who is controlled by an evil organization and has life-extending resources, and is willing to go into dangerous situations to care about her younger brother. Isn’t this character a bitter little villain who needs to be exonerated?

Thinking of this, Russell’s heart suddenly moved and he directly stretched the energy thread towards the pale He Xia.

As he expected, although the energy thread could not directly and accurately extract a certain energy from He Xia’s body like a pet beast, it could guide the excess energy in his body to slowly flow out.

Many medical beast-control talents can directly affect the human body. As a big plug-in, the ”Cocoon of Evolution” can have some influence on insect-type beast masters, so it is not an unusual thing.

Simply helping He Xia reduce some of the chaotic energy in his body will not increase the risk of exposing his ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent.

On the one hand, the most powerful ability of ”Cocoon of Evolution” is that it can give pet beasts the possibility of multiple evolutions, as well as the group bloodline optimization brought about by the evolutionary aura and lord’s posture.

Strictly speaking, energy screening is only part of the function, and similar talents are not absent in the existing records of the league.

Furthermore, humans are far less sensitive to energy than pet beasts, especially middle- and low-level beast masters.

With He Xia’s fourth-level strength, he can at most feel and use his own energy, but it is far from possible to feel every change in the energy in his body in detail.

After being touched by the young beast master of the Alliance who defeated his sister, he felt a little relaxed all of a sudden, and the discomfort in the beast master’s space also subsided a lot, but he had no idea what happened.

”This……!”

He Qiuer also noticed the changes in her younger brother. Unexpectedly, the problem that the Gu insect master family had not solved for many years would actually turn around with a young beast master. She was so shocked that she could not speak.

However, before she could organize her words to ask what happened, Russell dropped another bombshell.

”If you are willing to provide us with all the information you have and cooperate with the next actions, maybe I can apply to the Beast Control Alliance to exempt you from punishment and find a solution to the energy disorder.”
