Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 178 Gu Insect Master He QiuerChapter 178 Gu Insect Master He Qiuer
When the two alien beast masters saw the three Russells, Russell, who had always been vigilant, also immediately discovered them.

Unexpectedly, riding a mausoleum beetle, they could come into close contact with other beast masters. The three of them were all stunned.

”...appeared here, the people from the Fire Stealing Group?”

Now in the secret realm, apart from the alliance personnel, they can only be members of the Fire Stealing Group. Seeing someone appearing, Russell immediately asked Ayou and Daolang to get into fighting postures.

”I know them! I’ve seen them on the alliance’s wanted list before...”

Seeing the appearance of the visitor clearly, Jiang Xue frowned and asked the nurse spider to unfold its defensive web.

”It’s Gu Masters He Qiu’er and He Xia. They rely on the parasitic Gu inherited from their families. As long as they are well prepared and have suitable pet beast corpses to use, they can often display their strength in cross-level combat.”

Chen Yuan had also heard of the names of these two alien beast masters. Thinking of their records in the wanted files, he also felt very troubled.

It is not difficult to tell from the reactions of the two teammates that these two beast masters named He Qiuer and He Xia are definitely not ordinary people.

”The Gu Insect Master family...is it so big?”

Jiang Xue and Chen Yuan were considered to be at the middle level among the new generation of beast masters in the Beast Control Alliance. For an opponent they valued so much, Russell was also very energetic.

However, while they were on guard, He Qiuer was actually observing the current situation.

Judging from the energy fluctuations emitted, although this beast control alliance team has three people, its physical strength is indeed weaker than the two of our own.

However, they were riding giant lord-level beetles, which was beyond He Qiuer’s conventional knowledge of exploring secret realms.

If they act rashly, if Russell and the others can really command this giant beetle, the high-level beasts will be a dimensionality-reducing blow to the fourth- and fifth-level beasts, and then they will lose their lives in vain.

”Russell, they are probably afraid of the power of the Tomb Beetle. Should we strike preemptively?”

The two sides faced off for a moment, and Jiang Xue suddenly approached Russell and whispered.

When they first saw Russell establishing contact with the tomb beetle and using it to serve as the team’s mount, she and Chen Yuan were almost shocked.

Therefore, they fully understood the shocked and fearful expressions on He Qiuer’s faces.

However, Russell also said that the skill configuration of the Tomb Beetle is somewhat similar to that of the Arc Light Airship. Indiscriminate group killing is okay, but it is more difficult to strike accurately.

Especially if the two sides start fighting on the back of the tomb beetle, it will be unable to intervene.

Even if the mausoleum beetle can violate its biological instinct and attack its own body, if it bombs down with a high-level skill, the Alliance exploration team may also be in trouble.

Therefore, in essence, this bodyguard and mount can only allow the team to avoid some of the original dangers in the secret realm, but it cannot actually help them deal with the explorers of the Fire Stealing Group.

”That makes sense... I’ll let the Fighter Unicorn launch a feint attack, and you’ll let the UFO Hawkmoth make a sneak attack!”

Chen Yuan also agreed with Jiang Xue’s idea and said that he could serve as human bait.

He could feel the aura of the mid-level fifth level from He Qiu’er and the sword-footed centipede, but her brother He Xia was much weaker. It seemed that combined with the body of the pet beast, he was only at the mid-level fourth level.

Parasitic Gu is a purple-gold-level pet beast with insect and poison attributes. It has the powerful ability to directly seize the bodies of other pet beasts and absorb power to temporarily strengthen its own level.

Being targeted by a Gu Insect Master is something that most beast masters are extremely afraid of.

Because you never know what kind of pet your opponent will use the next time you are attacked.

If the other party also knows your strength composition very well and specifically targets you, even if you have the upper hand in terms of hard power, it will be easy for you to overturn in front of the Gu Insect Master.

However, the parasitic Gu is not without its shortcomings. Its extremely high difficulty of cultivation is an insurmountable threshold in the first place.

It takes hundreds of years for a parasitic Gu to grow naturally to a mature state. Without special cultivation methods, even if you start cultivating it from a teenager, you will not be able to become a high-level beast master by the time you reach your seventh or eighth decade.

From this point of view, the difficulty of cultivating parasitic Gu is almost as difficult as that of dragons.

Except for the Gu Insect Master family that has used Parasitic Gu as their main pet beast for generations, even if ordinary beast masters are lucky enough to obtain Parasitic Gu larvae, they usually will not choose to make a contract.

At the age of He Qiuer and He Xia, even if they had family inheritance since they were young, the ability to cultivate a semi-mature parasitic Gu should be the limit.

Secondly, there is another limitation of the parasitic Gu’s ability to seize the body, that is, the parasitized body cannot heal its wounds, nor can it restore energy on its own.

To solve this problem, in addition to relying on the beast master to transport energy for replenishment, it is also necessary to replace the parasitic pet beast in time.

However, this kind of parasitism is not without cost. Each time the parasitism target is changed, some original vitality needs to be consumed, which will slow down the growth rate of the parasitism Gu.

Therefore, unless necessary, the Gu Insect Master will try to preserve the strength of the pet beast and save every ounce of energy consumption.

At present, He Xia has not summoned a pet beast. As long as he can be captured in a sudden attack, the next four versus one will have some chance of winning due to the fact that the parasitic pet beast cannot restore energy.

”Dumb, can you help me seal the tunnel?”

Feeling that this method was indeed feasible, Russell quietly asked Dumb.

After all, the environment in the secret realm is complicated, and the He Qiuer siblings entered for several days first. If they finally seize the opportunity but are run away by her, the follow-up will only be more dangerous.

”Oh well.”

Hearing this, Ah-Dai still looked cute and agreed without thinking.

Its skills are powerful and heavy, making it difficult to accurately hit the fire-stealing group’s beast masters, but it can still be done by sealing the tunnel to prevent them from escaping.

I have to say that although Ah-Dai is very simple and ignorant, as an eighth-level pet beast, his hard power is still very good.

As a surge of insect energy spurted out, several huge stone tablets suddenly rose from both sides of the passage, instantly blocking the roads in front and behind.

That is its signature skill ”Lingwei Tombstone”.

This kind of stone tablet made entirely of energy is very hard and can also isolate most of the energy flow. It is very useful when used to hit people and as a shield. It is a practical skill that integrates offense and defense.

”...It seems you are planning to take action?”

Seeing this scene, He Qiuer’s face immediately darkened, and she asked the three Russells coldly.

The tunnel here was suddenly closed by the cave lord. It would be a lie to say that she was not nervous at all.

But the tomb beetle’s actions also exposed a problem, that is, it seems unable to directly attack its location.

Otherwise, with the energy intensity up to the eighth level, a casual move would be enough to win, and these beast control alliance explorers would not be able to do it themselves.

Although it was not clear what other trump cards Russell and the others had, at least in a head-on battle, He Qiuer was completely confident in a one-on-three fight.

As for He Xia, she had no intention of letting her brother take action from beginning to end.

”Fighter Unicorn, knock that centipede to pieces!”

Just when she hesitated for a moment, Chen Yuan had already taken the lead in launching the attack according to the original plan.

Hearing his arrogant attitude, He Qiuer almost laughed angrily. She just wanted to steal the spotlight with a late-level fourth-level fighter. She had seen many such young beast masters who thought they had only two or three points of strength and then went crazy. She had also killed several of them with her own hands. .

In order to free up the sword-footed centipede, He Qiuer simply jumped off the wall with He Xia.

Seeing that she was standing firmly on the back of the mausoleum beetle and not receiving any attacks, she became more sure of her previous idea, and then ordered to the sword-footed centipede controlled by the parasitic Gu:

”Crush her for me.”

After receiving the order, the blade-footed centipede showed a fierce look in its eyes, and hundreds of scalpel-sharp insect legs moved regularly, and quickly rushed towards the fighter rhinoceros.

Boom-!
clack clack...

When the two insects met, there was first a muffled sound of collision, and then there was a dense scratching sound.

The Fighter One-horned Fairy is worthy of being a pet beast with strength as its core feature. Even though its strength is much lower than that of the parasitized Blade-footed Centipede, it still staggered the latter while sprinting with all its strength.

If it weren’t for those sharp claws that could easily dig into the stone, it would have almost been knocked off Dumb’s back by the fighter Unicorn.

However, the sword-footed centipede, which was originally a pet beast in the secret realm and was now strengthened by the parasitic poison, was naturally not that easy to deal with.

Withstanding the violent impact, it immediately retracted and wrapped its insect body tightly around the body of the Fighter Rhinoceros.

Even though the carapace of a pet beast like the Fighter Rhinoceros, which is used to running rampant, is thick and hard, under the continuous attack of hundreds of sword legs, its body still soon showed scars.

Fortunately, there was the fighter Unicorn to attract attention from the front, and Russell and Jiang Xue quickly found a suitable opportunity to attack.

”Nurse Spider, Paralyze Flying Needle!”

Looking at He Xia who was hiding behind her sister and admiring the battle with a mean smile on her face, Jiang Xue rolled her eyes and ordered Nurse Spider to use her only attack skill.

The next moment, the nurse spider with a white body and a cross pattern on its tail opened its mouth and spit out more than ten tiny flying needles towards He Xia and He Qiuer.

This skill has almost no damage, but it is very sharp and small. It can easily hit pet beasts with gaps in their fur or carapace, let alone humans with thin skin and tender flesh.

The powerful paralyzing toxin contained in the flying needle can control pet beasts of the same level for more than three seconds, which is regarded as a life-saving skill for the nurse spider family.

If it were directly applied to the human body, it would be enough to make the target sleepy for a day and a half.

”Haha...you are playing such a little trick, do you think it’s the first day you come out to fool around?”

However, in the face of the sudden attack, He Qiuer just snorted coldly, then waved his sleeves and summoned a metal-like energy shield to block all the paralyzing flying needles.

As early as when the fighter Unicorn charged, she had paid attention to Russell and Jiang Xue’s movements, and was prepared for this attack.

While releasing the protection skills, He Qiuer’s protective pet beast also showed its figure.

It was a large snail half as tall as a man, carrying a snail shell that looked like a tin house on its back. Russell and the other three had encountered it several times during their exploration, so it should also be a secret beast.

However, this kind of metal snail beast has a very low desire to attack. As long as it does not get too close, it will not attract attacks, so no one has fought with them along the way.

Now it seems that their racial ability is probably some kind of steel shield skill, which can not only improve the hardness of their own snail shells, but also be used to protect the beast master.

After blocking the attack of the paralyzing flying needles, He Qiuer raised his eyebrows and then turned his attention to the several butterfly shadows that appeared in the air.

As an intermediate beast master, she could feel the energy brewing in this big moth, and it would definitely attack her next.

However, He Qiuer’s true strength is much stronger than what the Beast Taming Alliance knows.

At the age of more than years old, she has cultivated two late fourth-order and late third-order parasitic Gu. She is considered the most outstanding young genius among the Gu masters in decades.

The rusty snail controlled by the third-level parasitic poison has reached the mid-level fourth level after being strengthened by the poison. Compared with these alliance beast masters, they are unable to use this bronze shield in a short time.

As long as she is given another minute or two, the Blade-Footed Centipede will be able to finish off the Fighter Unicorn.

As for the auxiliary nurse spider, it probably wouldn’t survive three rounds against the blade-footed centipede.

But at this moment, Chen Yuan’s second wave of attacks also began.

”Fighter Unicorn, your spirit explodes!”

He just heard him shouting, and the astonishing volume used to force He Qiuer’s attention back.

As a general skill that can be learned by melee-type monsters, Vigor Explosion requires accumulating anger and energy before it can be used. It is a backhand skill that combines high damage at close range and a self-purification effect.

After being entangled and scratched by the sword-footed centipede for more than ten seconds, the scarred fighter Unicorn naturally accumulated enough anger.

Before he finished speaking, a circle of white brilliance appeared on the surface of Dali’s body.

After about two or three seconds of accumulation, this circle of white smoothness suddenly spread out, knocking away the sword-footed centipede that was tightly wrapped around its body.

Of course, after using this skill, which requires a beating and a huge energy consumption, the Fighter Unicorn herself lost half of her life.

Although it struggled to hold on swaying and did not fall down for a while, it obviously no longer had the strength to launch a second wave of collision.

The Blade-Footed Centipede did not suffer any substantial damage in the shock just now. It just shook its head on the spot, and then quickly crawled towards the Fighter One-horned Fairy.

”Ayou! Do it!”

Knowing that the time Chen Yuan could delay had reached the limit, in order to prevent the fighter Unicorn from suffering serious damage, Russell immediately ordered Ayou to release the charged Nether Explosion.

hum-

buzz-

Under Ayou’s guidance, several groups of violent ghost-type energy exploded one after another, rushing toward the blade-footed centipede.

”Netherworld Explosion Continuous Fire...What are you doing?”

Seeing this scene, He Qiuer’s heart skipped a beat, and she felt something was wrong.

Such a simple and crude ghost-type energy group bombing, as long as you try it a little, you can see what the skill is.

However, the Nether Explosion skill requires charging. Even if the opponent uses the Fighter Unicorn to delay and secretly charge up, there should only be one explosion.

What the hell are these four or five Nether Explosions launched at the same time in succession? ?
It seems... I seem to have really underestimated the exploration team sent by the Beast Control Alliance.

However, now is obviously not the time to worry about the opponent’s strength. The parasitized pet beast cannot recover on its own. Even if it is the same level, she does not dare to let the sword-footed centipede withstand multiple nether blasts.

But ghost skills have always been weird. Seeing that the energy group has exploded and it is impossible to hide, He Qiuer can only order the rusty snail to use a bronze shield to protect the sword-footed centipede.

However, she still underestimated Ayou’s spell-casting ability.
At the moment when the bronze shield was transferred from the two people to the sword-footed centipede, a butterfly shadow quietly hiding in the corner flapped its wings and sent a ball of ghost energy to He Qiuer and He Xia.
