Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 198: The beginning of development of the Insect Valley! After walking along the mountain path for a while, Russell saw a fairly regular arch on the rock wall.

A signboard with the emblem of the alliance hung above the arch, with the words ”Rail Car Starting Station” written on it.

The productivity of the world of beast control is much higher than that of the current world. Without interference, the alliance’s infrastructure construction is very fast.

With the exploration map provided by Russell and the order not to attack the secret beasts, in just a few days, some simple but useful rail cars were installed in the tunnels in the mountains.

”Dear Mr. Russell, please come this way.”

After completing a very simple registration procedure at the management office at the door, Russell boarded a rail car controlled by the large mechanical beast ”Leyline Digger” and arrived at the core of the secret realm at extremely fast speeds.

Since the predecessor’s will dissipated, the new queen ant eggs began to hatch, and the dozens of remaining crystal ants in the crystal garden all gathered near the throne.

After all, ordinary crystal ants are infertile. Only when the rainbow ant queen hatches can they rely on crystal eggs to breed new crystal ant larvae from the crystal.

However, there are now a large number of researchers tasked with guarding the queen’s incubation. All these crystal ants have to do is eat and drink well and avoid any accidents in order to preserve the strength of the group.

At this moment, they are lying in the newly built ecological warehouse, enjoying the fruits and vegetables, dried meat, honey and other delicacies brought back by the researchers from the outside world. They look very happy.

Seeing that the Beast Taming Alliance paid so much attention to the crystallized ants, Russell not only did not feel unhappy about being infringed, but was actually very happy.

Because raising a lord-level pet beast from scratch is actually not an easy task.

Half-assed lords like the Scabbard Cricket are okay. After all, they usually live in pairs rather than in groups. It’s just that some individuals are stronger and can intimidate their own kind on certain occasions, so they become lords.

However, when it comes to highly social groups such as ants and bees, the situation is completely different.

Since the queen insect is directly linked to the lifeline of the entire clan, each generation of their inheritance is extremely cautious, and the difficulty of growing the royal family is dozens or even hundreds of times higher than that of ordinary members of the same clan.

The gold-level queen bee that Russell obtained before is still in the form of a worm after being carefully raised. It may not turn into a cocoon until next spring.

The rainbow ant queen’s bloodline reaches the crystal level. Even if there is an incubation place with extremely high energy density like the Crystal Throne, without the help of the Beast Taming Alliance, she would not know how to cultivate her until the end of the year.

”Miss Moran, you have been working hard during this time.”

After walking a few steps in the strange building made of energy crystals, Russell saw Researcher Li Moran recording data in front of a machine.

As the first official member of the league that Russell met, Li Moran and he were considered old acquaintances.

Russell came to the core of the secret realm before heading to the worm grazing area because of the series of life-threatening calls made by Researcher Li Moran.

”The little ancestor of our research institute... you are finally here. The input device is over there. Hurry over there.”

Seeing Russell’s figure, Researcher Li Moran’s eyes were filled with joy, but then he complained with some complaints.

Russell’s previous behavior of toughening up other regional alliance executives and fighting for the interests of Senluo City, these alliance members who make a living in Senluo City are grateful.

It’s just that the entire Senluo City is very busy with the development war. This kid actually took more than a week off. It’s really hard to know what to say.

Fortunately, he insisted on making harassing calls every day, and finally called Russell.

The main purpose of the Senluo City Alliance calling him here was to collect a small amount of beast-controlling space energy and original vitality.

After all, Russell contracted the rainbow ant queen’s companion pet. Observing the energy fluctuations during the incubation process of the rainbow ant queen can provide them with important parameter basis for adjusting the incubation device.

This job is simple. Russell walked to the machine pointed by Li Moran, released the energy of the beast control space, and then drew a tube of blood. The collection was completed.

…………

It has to be said that Russell now has to take into account not only the development of his own strength, but also the business of the insect house and the promotion of insect beasts. He is really getting busier.

After having a simple lunch with the researchers, he rode the rail car without stopping and arrived at the worm grazing ground where he was going to feed the mantis.

After all the crystal ants had withdrawn, the muddy ground connected to the underground river was quiet. Only the occasional gurgling sound caused by the activity of mud bugs could be heard.

However, the secret realm is closed anyway, and the Beast Control Alliance has installed a large number of surveillance cameras in the tunnel, so it doesn’t matter much if there are no guards.

According to Russell’s previous request, a batch of wild mantises and color-changing slugs have been delivered and are currently sleeping in an incubator filled with a slight anesthetic gas.

In the middle of the mud field, alliance officials have built several reservoirs of various sizes to more efficiently collect the clean water filtered by the mud bugs.

After all, humans are not like ants who only need to drink a little water every day, and they don’t want to have to stick their heads into the mud when they want to drink water.

Color-changing slugs have a gentle temperament and rarely fight among themselves. If the environment is suitable, they can be cultured at high density. The two small reservoirs designated by the alliance are enough to breed this rationed pet beast.

Thanks to Russell’s current status as a related household, the Senluo City Alliance even thoughtfully installed fluorescent lights at the edge of this piece of mud and planted many low trees for the daily habitat of the mantises.

After roughly looking at the surrounding environment, he felt that the configuration was basically suitable for breeding mantises and color-changing slugs. Russell walked to the breeding box and released them all.

The timid and docile color-changing slugs were okay. They felt the smell of clean water in the two nearby reservoirs, and they obediently crawled into the water one after another without Russell’s urging.

It has to be said that the mimicry ability of this kind of pet beast is indeed outstanding. Not only do their skins change color, but their flesh, flesh and internal organs can also change color simultaneously, and they seem to disappear after entering the water.

With the eyesight of Russell’s fourth-level beast master, if he didn’t stare intently, he could hardly see that there was a large group of pet beasts living in the water.

Compared to the quiet color-changing slugs, the broadsword mantises are much noisier.

sa...

sough……

Because they suddenly came to a strange environment, they were inevitably a little uneasy and anxious, and they kept waving their sword arms to look stronger.

Even if Russell activated his ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent and soothed them with his extremely high insect affinity, these mantises still kept jumping up and down, and some even attacked nearby mud bugs.

”Daolang, go and convince me by force.”

Seeing that his gentle soothing effect was ineffective, Russell curled his lips and summoned Daolang directly.

It’s better to leave the matter of frightening the praying mantis to the praying mantis...

Sa-!
”Wow, there are so many praying mantises, but I am still the most handsome, haha!”

Daolang is now a gold-level pet beast in the middle of the fourth level, and has many rare skills. There is a high probability that it will reach platinum next time it advances.

Facing these silver-level ordinary sword mantises who are not yet adults, it only needs to stand there and look like a king.

However, these wild mantises were still a little irritable in temperament. While Daolang was demonstrating, one or two people who were not afraid of death gathered around them and tried to regain control by fighting in groups.

Facing his kin who were far weaker than him, Daolang didn’t even bother to hide. He directly gathered his alloy claws and slashed at their sword arms.

The blade arm skill is just a thin layer of insect energy condensed on the claws, while the alloy claw skill is a serious metalization. The result of the collision between the two can be known without thinking too much.

”Be gentle, don’t cut them to pieces!” Russell quickly warned because he was worried that Daolang Liwei might use too much force and cut off the blade arms of these sample beasts.

sa...

”Okay, I know...”

Hearing this, Daolang muttered unhappily, but the movements of his hands became much lighter in response.

Even so, with this strike of the sword, it still chopped up those large sword mantises that were overestimating their abilities.

After this incident, all the Dao Mantis nearby finally calmed down, watching eagerly as Dao Lang did not dare to make any more mistakes.

After waiting for Daolang to fully establish its prestige, Russell also consumed the source of evolution to awaken it into the form of a lord.

It’s just that these sword mantises are just sample pet beasts, and there are not many of them. Even if they all surrender, they are still far from the requirements of a third-level lord.

However, as long as these large-sword mantises can pass the test of the alliance garrison and be successfully promoted to the militia regiments, the problem of quantity will no longer be an issue at all.

After all, to open up urban areas, an entire second-tier city requires the mobilization of the entire population.

When the pioneering operation is fully launched, there will be more places to defend and explore, and the militia team of several thousand people will be in short supply.

Next, all you need to do is ask Liang Kun to visit the worm grazing area regularly, plant some water plants in the reservoir for the color-changing slugs to eat, then feed the mantises with adult slugs, and then wait for them to transform under the influence of the evolutionary halo. .

However, Daolang will still have to serve as an important combat force in opening up the valley, and he cannot stay here as a living halo.

Fortunately, Russell’s beast-control talent had just been upgraded not long ago, and the beast-control token was added as a means to expand the coverage of the evolutionary halo.

He placed several tokens condensed with all his strength in various places in the mud. Feeling the fluctuations of the evolutionary halo gradually taking effect, he hummed a little tune and left the secret realm of the Crystal Garden.

…………

After all the business matters were settled, Russell finally had his hands free and led Lu Dahu and others towards the valley on the map.

With everyone’s average strength as an intermediate beast master, the more than five kilometers of mountain road could be completed in less than half an hour.

”This place hasn’t been named yet... When we occupy this valley, we’ll register with the Beast Control Alliance and name this place the Insect Control Valley!”

Standing in front of the mud field at the entrance of the valley, looking at the green trees, flat terrain, and a clear river flowing out of the valley, Russell was very happy and couldn’t help but start to enjoy the scene of construction in the valley.

”Boss, let’s find a way to get through this swamp first...”

Hearing this, Lu Dahu looked a little helpless and pointed to the swamp that was dozens of meters wide.

Following his hand, Russell saw a long pet beast that seemed to be observing the group of people. When someone turned around, it quickly retracted into the mud.

Feeling the hostility contained in that look, Russell’s passionate mood suddenly calmed down and became much more serious.

If you want to develop in this valley with peace of mind, you really have to get over the wild beasts first.

Before officially coming to the valley, he had actually considered whether he could use the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent or the ant colony will ability of the Rainbow Secret Guard Ants to let wild insect-type beasts help to reduce the pressure of development.

However, after observing along the way, this idea has been rejected by Russell.

There are indeed a lot of insect-type pets in the wild, but they are basically at the bottom of the ecological niche. Silver-level carnivorous insect-type pets like the Great Knife Mantis are already considered to be at the upper-middle level.

However, in the semi-developed area, insect beasts that were stronger than the mantis were all hunted or expelled by the Alliance Legion.

The remaining old, weak, sick and disabled can be used occasionally to ask for news, but it is almost impossible to play a combat role.

Judging from the current situation, this development task still has to be solved by their own hands.

Before coming to the wild, Russell also briefly sorted out the existing combat power composition of the Chongwu House.

From the perspective of rough skin and thick flesh, and extremely high resistance, Lu Dahu’s Demon Dog is a worthy front rower. As long as it does not encounter a pet beast of level five or above, it can withstand the front.

The curly-haired girl Tong Ling’s shimmer elf has mastered practical healing and dispersal skills, which can ensure that other pet beasts will not withdraw from the battle quickly after receiving minor damage.

As for the electrostatic hedgehog and acid-throated viper of Zheng Ping and Zheng Yu, one is for group control and the other is for continuous output. They are very important combat powers in group fights.

As for the academic young man Fan Ming, in addition to the ”Collector Type 07”, he has also been equipped with the latest sonar bat, which can be regarded as completing the two positions of logistics and exploration.

From this point of view, the strength of the Omushiya Development Team is quite good. They have all the auxiliary output tanks, which are enough to cope with most situations.

”Let’s not rush forward to fight with the pet beasts. Let’s observe the ecology first.”

However, after arriving at the entrance of the valley, Lu Dahu did not rush to summon everyone to start a battle and advance, but chose to camp on a nearby hillside.

At the same time, he also issued various exploration orders to several teammates and arranged them in one go, which seemed to be very sophisticated.

As the saying goes, professionals do professional things, and seeing Lu Dahu busy at work, Russell was happy to be free.

As long as he ensures that the purpose of occupying the valley is achieved, he can completely obey Lu Dahu’s full command during the process.
Although he doesn’t know much about the wild, Russell’s hard power is second only to He Qiuer among several people, so he has no problem being a qualified thug.

Since Russell was still his current boss after all, Lu Dahu didn’t arrange any chores for him and just let him stay near the tent and do whatever he wanted.

Russell, the lazy man, would naturally have no objections to this.

”By the way, your sword-footed centipede dissipated after leaving the secret realm. Do you want to catch a new pet beast to parasitize?”

After holding the phone for a while, Russell, who was a little bored, suddenly remembered something and asked He Qiuer quietly.

”No, our Gu insect master clan also has an industry of animal taming, so we can’t just go to the wild to catch them temporarily every time~”

After He Xia’s condition improved, He Qiu’er seemed a lot more cheerful. She no longer spoke coldly and occasionally joked.

From what she said, it seemed that she had contacted the tribe and brought some resources over.

Russell’s original intention was to gradually get the entire Gu insect master clan to cooperate with him. He had no objection at all to He Qiuer’s contact with his family.

From He Qiuer’s decision to continue to stay in the Chongwu House, the Gu Chong Master clan probably did not object.

If He Xia’s condition really improves substantially, they may send more important people to meet with them.

”Russell, the situation in this swamp is a bit complicated and it doesn’t seem to be easy to deal with!”

Just when Russell was thinking about this, Lu Dahu’s voice suddenly came from not far away.

Hearing this, he turned around and saw that the other party was walking forward with a few notes, his brows furrowed and he seemed a little embarrassed. (End of chapter)
