I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 446: 429 Qingshan—CanterChapter 446: Chapter 429 Qingshan—Canter

To be safe, three hours later, Mu Ying used the Detecting Skill again to check on Draco’s position.

Even if his Trial World was one that produced a relatively rich amount of Source Power, by this time, the day’s Trial Time should have most likely run out.

The scene detected this time was still that cave, where Draco was eating a strangely shaped rice ball while making gestures in the air in front of him.

It looked like he was browsing the forum.

Aleksey had also realized this and hurriedly opened the forum as well.

Among the pile of anonymously signed messages from Draco, there was one that stood out.

“Dear brother, I am your hapless younger brother who once took the fall for your bed-wetting. Thank you for sending someone to look for me, I’ll wander around outside after I finish my meal. —— Draco”

Aleksey pretended not to see and put away the Player Manual, then said to Mu Ying, “He must have seen my post, he’ll go out after eating.”

After Draco finished eating, he hung a mining lamp on his waist and, with his bare hands, pushed aside the large stone above and crawled out.

Outside was a wasteland with a thin layer of snow, and in the distance, there was a vast birch forest, stretching as far as the eye could see.

The forest was so familiar that even from a great distance, Mu Ying recognized it instantly.

Wasn’t this the very place where she had seen the Tiger Clan Beastmen before?

This place was already in the southern end of Bear Country’s territory, close to the region of Xia Country.

After such a huge detour, it turned out the person was nearby all along.

“Aleksey, I know this place, post quickly and tell him not to go far, it would be best to stay in that cave, I’m going to find him right now!” Mu Ying hurriedly said, afraid that Draco might wander off and miss such a good opportunity.

Aleksey did not expect to make progress so quickly.

He feverishly posted another message, following the same procedure of asking the territory’s players to act as “navigators” for the information.

“Looking for Draco —— Your unlucky brother is coming for you”

“Don’t run far, just stay in the cave, the person looking for you is on their way! —— Your dear brother Aleksey”

After Aleksey posted the message, the view from the Detecting Skill disappeared.

“Mu Ying, do you have Space Equipment? Can you please help take some warm clothes and some money to Draco for me?” Aleksey asked.

That place had no village in front and no shop behind, and Mu Ying was riding a broom. His unlucky brother looked such a mess, he better not disgust the girl.

More than a year ago, his brother was a strong and handsome young man, and now he was simply an eyesore.

Moreover, he didn’t even have a money pouch on him; he should not have to borrow money from the girl just to take the Transmission Array. At this moment, it was still up to the love of his older brother to help.

“Sure!” Mu Ying’s Space Ring had plenty of room, so packing these things was no problem.

Draco’s physical Attributes must be quite high, wearing so little and even barefoot in the snowy wasteland without freezing to death, and living as usual, though he did look rather unkempt.

“Actually, you could come with me,” Mu Ying said and then added, “But you have to sign a contract, promising not to reveal anything about what you see of me on the way.”

The place was at the southern end of Bear Country, a few hours’ journey from Wulan Camp. With speed, there was no need to spend the night on the Flying Carpet, and three people could comfortably fit.

The most critical part was that, after finding the person, it would definitely be very late, and naturally, the Su Mu Camp, which was closer, would be more suitable to stop and rest overnight; she did not plan to expose the Space Travel Box.

In this way, it would be logical to lead both of them to the Xia Country Region, and then even if they wanted to return to Canter Town, they would inevitably have to take the Transmission Array to Qingshan City from Su Mu Camp first, and then detour back to Canter Town.

Going to her Qingshan City, how could they not stay there for a couple of days to have a look?

Aleksey was a Lord and would definitely have to come back, but not necessarily so for Draco.

He could maintain the second rank on the global level leaderboard, and if it weren’t for Mu Ying’s assistance with the plant seeds obtained in the Emerald World, he might not even be able to match his leveling speed.

With such achievements, relying solely on Talent would definitely not be enough; he was likely a cultivation fanatic. Which cultivation fanatic could resist the temptation of the test house and the hero leaderboard?

“I’m coming too?” Aleksey considered what it would be like for three people to sit on a broom, “Won’t it be a bit too crowded?”

“No, you’ll know when the time comes,” Mu Ying, who did not know he was thinking about sitting on a broom, affirmed confidently, “Do you need to bring anything? Go and get ready. We first need to take the Transmission Array to Kajiatan City, then make a detour to Wulan Camp, which is nearer to Draco’s location.”

Having said all this, Aleksey naturally had nothing more to say. If it was crowded, so be it. Who could refuse the chance to fly in the sky?

Aleksey went to pack some simple luggage and brought enough money, all of which were stored in Mu Ying’s Space Ring.

The two then signed a confidentiality agreement and went to the transfer platform, where they established the Cross-Regional Transfer Array between Canter Town and Qingshan City.

At the same time, on the second floor of the Transmission Square in Qingshan City, a brand-new Transmission Array appeared with a wooden sign beside it saying:

[Transmission Array: Qingshan City (Xia Country) — Canter Town (Bear Country)]

[Maximum number of people per transfer: 5]

[Cost: 2.5 Gold Coins/transfer, 50 Silver Coins/person at full capacity, with any shortfall in numbers to be shared amongst occupants]

The Cross-Regional Transfer Array not only reduced the number of people per transfer, to just five, but also significantly increased energy consumption.

A single person’s transfer requires 5000 energy points; a full load of five people would need approximately 10000 energy in one go.

For players with high strength and earning money, this price would still take quite some time to save up for.

However, each activation would bring Mu Ying a substantial profit, especially now when Canter Town had yet to cover half of the transfer cost, and she could enjoy all the profits.

Upon seeing this price, the crowd watching at the Transmission Platform burst into murmurs of disbelief, “That’s too expensive!”

Many players who had come to Canter Town in advance to wait for the Transmission Array’s activation inhaled sharply at the price.

Most of them had not brought enough money.

“Lord Mu, can’t it be cheaper?” someone couldn’t help but ask.

“The energy consumption of the Cross-Regional Transfer Array is more than a hundred times that of the Long-Distance Transmission Array. This is already a fair price,” Mu Ying said.

Indeed, this price was no small burden for the players for now, but as the territory developed and the ways to earn money increased, eventually, it would not be an issue.

Like the Long-Distance Transmission Array before, wasn’t it initially too expensive for most people? Now, it’s basically no big deal to take one or two trips.

Aleksey nodded in agreement, “Indeed, that’s true. If you’re still short of money, you can take up the farming tasks and animal husbandry tasks in Canter Town. There are plenty of positions available, with professional guidance. You can find out more at the Task Hall.”

Not only did he validate her point, but he also advertised the farming tasks in his own territory.
