Chapter 440: 424 Wulan CampChapter 440: Chapter 424 Wulan Camp

Having received nature’s reward, Mu Ying couldn’t help but consider nature more deeply.

These Beastmen, from various clans, formed a considerable number when added up; leaving them unchecked had significant underlying dangers.

However, to talk about killing them off directly could indeed curb their destruction of the environment, but even nature did not despise them to that extent. To obliterate an entire clan seemed overly simplistic and crude.

Moreover, their strength was not low; to kill them off en masse would not be an easy task.

Mu Ying wondered if the Beastmen could learn farming, breeding, and livestock rearing. If they could be taught to produce their own food and resources, wouldn’t that solve the problem?

If all else failed, then killing them would still be an option.

This idea suddenly occurred to Mu Ying.

The Beastmen had migrated from beyond Deep Blue Star; certainly, in the Multiverse beyond, there must be other Beastmen. If they all followed this way of life, surely the Druids outside wouldn’t stand for it?

Her solution wasn’t something hard to think of; certainly, others had tried it before. Whether it was feasible or not, she just needed to ask someone.

As for who to ask, naturally, it was Grandpa Shom; his extensive knowledge and experience should provide some insights.

The timing was right, so Mu Ying made a call to Grandpa Shom using a Dingling Flower, explaining the situation.

“Beastmen? Your method is feasible; although Beastmen are not as smart as humans, and would never think of these methods on their own, with outsiders’ help and education, they could learn.

There are Beastman Clans in the outside world, some of which have been educated by Druids—herbivorous Beastmen engage in farming, while the carnivorous ones turn to animal husbandry and breeding, preventing their habitat from turning into wastelands. Those that migrated to your place are likely uneducated, primitive Beastmen.

Mu Girl, for Druids with assets, this is a good opportunity. Educating them won’t disappoint you!

I have a book written by a Druid, ‘Beastman Civilization Guide,’ which is very informative. Come and pick it up whenever you want!”

Grandpa Shom’s words gave Mu Ying some reassurance; the implied message was that civilizing Beastmen would bring substantial Experience Value rewards, right?

She was worrying about how to accumulate her high Level 9 experience of 4500 points!

With so many Beastman Clans, if she could get them to change their way of living and rejuvenate the overly barren wilderness, wouldn’t nature lavish her with affection?

Looking at the densely spread wasteland regions in the original Bear Country territory, she could almost see the glint of Experience Value!

She almost felt like putting aside the Transmission Array project to focus thoroughly on educating these Beastmen.

However, the Transmission Array project was still more urgent. Being faster offered more advantages, and she could always pick up the pace later.

Once she had built a Transmission Array in each region, she would turn to cultivating this wilderness!

Mu Ying arranged with Grandpa Shom to pick up the book the next time she was back in her territory, then hurried off non-stop to Canter Town.

Speed up, get the Transmission Array built, then return to the territory to pick up the book. In the meantime, while running around building more Transmission Arrays, she could start studying in advance, facilitating her future actions in the wilderness.

She had recently spent quite some time wandering aimlessly in the Beastman Wilderness to observe; setting off in earnest now, she would move much faster.

That very night, she reached “Wulan Camp,” which had a Long-distance Transmission Array connected to Kajiatan City.

And within Kajiatan City, there was another Long-distance Transmission Array connecting to Canter Town.

She could use the Transmission Array at Wulan Camp to go to Kajiatan City, then from there, use another Transmission Array to Canter Town.

This saved a lot of time, and it only cost a few extra silver coins.

However, this time they had to pass through Kajiatan City, considered a competitor of Qingshan City, and they needed to understand the situation in Canter Town as well, in case the posts on the forum were fake?

It would be better to probe the area in disguise first.

So before entering Wulan Camp, she drank a Disguise Potion, turning her hair and pupil color black.

Her ears became rounder too.

Her appearance hadn’t changed much, given that the descriptions of her on the forum were only text-based, green eyes, green hair, pointed ears, and such.

The reason she didn’t make herself look more like the people of Bear Country was mainly that she couldn’t speak the local Language.

Currently, native players within Xia Country Region often spoke Xia Country Language in private communications.

She would only use Universal Language when chatting with shopkeepers and outsiders.

Mu Ying worried that the situation in Bear Country might be similar, so she made herself look like a Xia Country person, allowing her to openly claim that she was a tourist trapped here since before the apocalypse.

She had heard that Canter Town was about to establish a Cross-Regional Transfer Array with Qingshan City and wanted to detour there from Wulan Camp, awaiting the opening of the array to return to her country.

These were readily available excuses, and with such a background, she could also speak Universal Language directly, which wouldn’t arouse suspicion.

For now, she hadn’t publicly sold any Disguise Potion, and when active in the Xia Country Region, she always showed her real face.

No one would suspect she had the means to disguise herself.

Mu Ying had even faked her Profession, planning to pose as a Priest, given that some of the supportive Magic of a Priest was similar to that of a Druid.

Plus, the Priest Profession seemed harmless, key in possessing Healing Magic, which was helpful for gaining favor and gathering information.

Then she changed her Thousand Faces Clothes to a thick white velvet robe and a white cape, colors she seldom wore.

In the end, she also got a large backpack, filling it with camping essentials like tents, dry food, and water bottles, a complete set of outdoor gear.

All had been bought by Mu Ying in the past and stored in her Space Ring, without flaws that anyone could point out.

Next to the backpack, she tied a Longbow and a quiver, items previously confiscated when she killed the guards at the gates of Chunan Camp. She sold the rest and only kept some ordinary weapons unsellable, stored as miscellaneous items.

Finally, she attached an ordinary short dagger to her waist.

A Priest traveling alone should also have some additional means of self-defense.

It was her first attempt at dressing up and role-playing, and Mu Ying was quite excited.

After preparing these items, Mu Ying rode her Flying Carpet to a secluded forest area outside Wulan Camp, then went into her Space Suitcase to rest.

The weather was too cold to sleep directly on the Flying Carpet.

Mu Ying planned to get a good night’s sleep tonight and descend from the Flying Carpet tomorrow morning to walk into Wulan Camp.

The effects of the Disguise Potion lasted quite a long time, so she wasn’t worried about wasting a bit more time.
