I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 435: 419 The Rich LadyChapter 435: Chapter 419 The Rich Lady

Mu Ying realized the situation of other territories only when she saw the latest comment under this post.

“In less than three months, Qingshan City has built nine long-distance transmission arrays, adding up to a total of eleven including the previous ones. What about the other city-level territories? Why have they shown no activity at all?”

“Do you think all lords are like Mu Ying, who is not only a lord but also a top-five globally ranked figure?”

“What does ranking have to do with it?”

“Among all professions, at the current level, aside from Druids of level 6 and above who have cultivated Wild Transformation into flying animal forms, none can travel long distances quickly.

Even so, it’s tough for flying animals to maintain continuous long-distance flight, and their speed isn’t all that great. Mu Ying’s means of long-distance travel must also come from the Trial World!”

Except for a few lucky ones, only the top five on the rankings are Trialists.

If you’re not a Trialist and don’t have other convenient means of long-distance travel, and if you’re not powerful enough on your own, let alone building a cross-regional transfer array, it’s not easy to even construct long-distance transmission arrays within the region. You at least need to reach the destination yourself to build one!”

“By that logic, only Ximei Maz City has a chance to compete with Qingshan City, right? Luoxia Town is done for, and there are only three territories with Trialist lords.”

“That’s not certain, after all, no one knows the standards for a medium-sized city.”

“News from the front at Maz City says that Maz is still researching spells within the territory. Just yesterday, I saw an explosion in his personal sub-camp. It was quite the commotion. I think he’s unlikely to waste time traveling far to build transmission arrays.”

“Speaking of which, Ximei Maple Town has one more long-distance transmission array than Maz City. I remember Maz City’s transmission array wasn’t built by Maz himself, right?”

“Now that you mention it, I’m even more optimistic about Qingshan City. Their lord is so responsible!”

“Looking at it now, there seems to be only one territory in each region with the potential to quickly upgrade to city-level and compete in the city-level territory competition. For those who have fallen behind in regional competition, it might be better to collaborate with Qingshan City, investing their own money while Qingshan City contributes labor. By building a cross-regional transfer array first, one could possibly recover from a disadvantage within their region. They may not seize first place, but they could still benefit from the draft of others’ progress and foster more development.”

When Mu Ying saw this comment, she wished she could give it a hundred and twenty likes.

That’s exactly right! Ximei Maple Town and Bear Country’s Canter Town should take a look! She doesn’t even need them to invest. Just with permission, she could be the first to construct transmission arrays.

After all, this not only saves her trouble but also helps her subtly divide the territories within other regions.

These two territories are also at the top of Mu Ying’s list for potential cooperation, they’re among the territories she finds easiest to form alliances with, for the same reasons mentioned in the post.

Also in this line-up is Noa City from Southern Australia, since it’s too poor on its own to bear the construction costs of a cross-regional transfer array, the likelihood of reaching cooperation is also very high.

Mu Ying looked around and saw that the desire to compete for the first medium-sized city was still very strong.

Mu Ying thought for a moment and then simultaneously posted on the World Forum and the Territory Internal Network.

On the World Forum, she wrote: “Qingshan City is preparing to construct cross-regional transfer arrays with five other regions, cooperation model: 1. Cooperating with established territories, Qingshan City will fully fund the construction, enjoying all profits until the other party reimburses half the construction costs of the transfer array. Or both parties invest half, sharing the profits equally. 2. Cooperating with No Master Camps, Qingshan City will fully fund the construction and enjoy all profits. It is anticipated that one to two transfer arrays will be built in each region, interested parties can contact below. —— Lord Mu Ying of Qingshan City”

On the Territory Internal Network, she posted: [Cross-Regional Transfer Array Construction Opinion Collection: It is estimated that one to two transfer arrays will be built in each region according to area. —— Mu Ying]

With this real-name post on the Territory Internal Network, the authenticity of the post on the World Forum was guaranteed.

She wanted to observe the reactions of the various territories and then decide which one to start with for building the cross-regional transfer array.

Once the post was made, it immediately sparked a heated discussion.

“Does this mean Qingshan City has at least 7000 Gold Coins in reserve? Impossible! Can the trials bring real money into the real world?”

“Definitely not, but maybe she has income sources beyond your imagination!”

“With money and manpower, is there any need to compete in the competition?”

“Even if established territories don’t collaborate, Qingshan City can just turn around and build in No Master Camps. It’s still better to cooperate, and at least the method of cooperation is somewhat conscionable.”

“I just want to know, how is Qingshan City so rich?”

“Maybe it’s not Qingshan City that’s rich. Maybe it’s Mu Ying?”

“Rich lady ah!”

“She could probably be called the world’s richest by now, right?”

...

Mu Ying quickly skimmed through and noticed that the World Forum was full of player discussions, not a single word from any lords, so she didn’t pay much attention for the time being.

She’s been out for so long that it was time to harvest the transformation moss again.

Furthermore, in these past few months, with the completion of the long-distance transmission arrays and the gradual construction of roads to nearby camps, the population of Qingshan City had skyrocketed, almost doubling, and the growth trend had not yet started to slow.

She would have to expand the Main Territory again soon, building more Tree Houses.

The influx of these populations also created more income for the territory. Most of them were newcomers who could only acquire temporary residence status. Just the basic daily entrance fees accounted for a significant sum.

Now, apart from a few Tree Houses that had been sold, most of the other Tree Houses had been expanded several times, dividing more separate rooms inside each one to accommodate more people.

It was a good thing that all the airborne facilities relying on trees in the territory came with a weight-reduction effect, sparing the trees any burden from weight. Otherwise, even the trees she had carefully tended to wouldn’t be able to sustain the continual expansion upward.

As long as they paid a little money, players could expand their rented houses according to their wishes, leading to a wide range of ideas.

The whole territory, especially near the core area around Moon Lake where Tree Houses had not been bought, became an eclectic collection of enlarged structures due to the sudden increase in population.

Some were small at the bottom and larger on top, appearing top-heavy; others leaned to one side with various odd shapes, completely defying the laws of physics.

Mu Ying had initially imposed restrictions in the tree house expansion feature, preventing too much horizontal expansion and ensuring a certain distance between each Tree House to avoid blocking too much sunlight in the woods. Thus, even now, the Main Territory was still bathed in ample sunlight during the day.
