I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 402 - 402 392 Crystal Underground City402: Chapter 392: Crystal Underground City 402: Chapter 392: Crystal Underground City After adjusting the pricing and the leaderboard on the test monument, Mu Ying finally, following the order and experience from his recent test, had Little Stone add a few notice boards next to the test monument, the test house, and each challenge within the house to remind subsequent testers.

In the end, Mu Ying also fed all the Permanent Light Lantern Vines from his space ring to Little Stone.

These lantern vines, combined with various crystals, formed all kinds of Crystal Vine Chandeliers that appeared in the adventurer hall and the test house, making the entire underground city brightly lit, colorful, and filled with a dreamy palette.

After finishing these tasks, Mu Ying felt that the setup was almost complete.

He withdrew the thick stone slab blocking the passage and teleported away.

At the same time, a new notice appeared both at the passage entrance and the Territory Notice Board.

By this time, several hours had passed since the Damage Test House had closed.

Within the territory, news had spread about the closure and renovation upgrade of the Damage Test House.

“It’s so sudden!

The current leaderboard still has three days until the tally!

I was planning to rush for a higher rank in these next two days!”

“The underground is now sealed, and who knows when it will be reopened!”

“Renovation upgrade?

I wonder what new tricks there will be.

I can’t wait!”

...

“Quick, there’s a notice out!

Go have a look!”

...

Most of those discussing were already gathered at Sky Square, waiting for the announcement.

They had come to understand the style of their Lord very well; if anything new happened in the territory, Sky Square was definitely the place to catch the latest information.

And this time was no different.

To gather more popularity for Little Stone and earn some more emotional Strength as provisions, Mu Ying pulled out all the stops this time, writing the notice like an advertisement.

And for the first time, he mentioned the planning of the Underground City in passing, whetting everyone’s appetite.

“Underground amusement park?

Adventurer’s playground?

Crystal City?

This looks like a major event!”

“A city, you say?

Our territory is just a town, and the Lord is planning to build a city underground?

I can’t wait to see it!”

“Does this mean the Damage Test House will start charging fees?

My joy has vanished all of a sudden!”

“As expected, nothing is more expensive than what’s free.

All the previous freebies were just advertising for today’s fees!”

...

Quite a few were a bit upset about the test house starting to charge fees.

Mu Ying had anticipated this, and she wanted to offer this as a benefit to the locals, but with only five test houses, not many people could be accommodated at once, and testing was no longer as simple as a single attack like before.

What’s most important is that the test house’s effect was not just for fun anymore: it was a real and highly referential test.

If it was truly free, she feared it would be overwhelmed instantly; charging a fee would be better for managing traffic flow and ensuring that people take the test seriously.

After all, one tends to value what they pay for.

Besides the discussion about the fees, everything else was fine.

Mu Owl Ying, who had secretly hidden in the trees of Sky Square eavesdropping on the players’ discussions, flapped his wings and flew away.

Transforming his appearance, he quietly teleported to the adventurer square, riding a Magic Flying Carpet.

That was when the spaciousness of the adventurer square showed its true advantage.

Mu Ying, along with Little Stone and the Underground Core, sat on the Flying Carpet, floating above the adventurer square, not hindering the people on the ground at all, completely able to watch everything without being noticed.

It wasn’t like before, when he could only indirectly learn about the locals’ reactions and thoughts through the forum.

By now, quite a few players, attracted by the offer of half-price for the first thousand testers, had spent a copper coin—a considerable amount—to teleport and claim their spot in the queue.

Upon arriving, they were shocked by the overly expansive and super large square.

“My goodness, is this really built on the same spot as the Damage Test House used to be?

They managed to build such a huge square in just a few hours?”

“Wow, the lanterns are so pretty!

The lighting...

it feels perfect for square dancing!”

Mu Ying: “...”

No anger, as a forgiving and generous Lord, one must allow the locals to have different tastes.

“Wow, is this the Talent List?

The Lord’s name is on it!”

“Just because of that, I have to try it out and see how far behind I am compared to the Lord!”

“The testing guide is over here!”

Someone found the testing guide behind the test monument.
