Mu Ying had only just returned from the Su Mu Camp to her territory a little while ago, so she was very familiar with the current climate here; she had switched to a thicker winter cloak in advance.

As soon as she came out, she ran into players who were waiting for the Transmission Array to go to Qingshan City.

“Mu... Mu Ying!”

“Welcome to Qingshan City!” Mu Ying said with a smile, nodding her head in greeting to them. She slipped through the crowd and headed towards the camp’s main gate.

“Oh my God, she’s so beautiful! She’s no less than an Elf!”

“I heard that her ears hidden in her hair are pointed, it wasn’t like this before the apocalypse, maybe she really integrated the Elf Bloodline later!”

“Everyone’s here, let’s move out, off to Qingshan City!”

Having left the camp and walked some distance, Mu Ying took out her Magic Flying Carpet and sat on it to fly northward.

This time on the road, she learned the Death Protection Barrier.

Continuing north would bring her into the area of Bear Country. The merged land was a patchwork of wilderness and the former Bear Country territory, which wasn’t very safe.

The Death Protection Barrier could be practiced on herself without having to land and risk danger.

That night, she entered the territory within Bear Country, and it didn’t take long before she witnessed the so-called Beastman Wilderness for herself.

Each piece of Beastman Wilderness was formed after the fusion of a Beastman Replica, where a Beastman Clan used to live.

However, after entering the wilderness, she did not see a single Beastman until she entered a birch forest that was obviously richer in vegetation. There she saw a tribe composed entirely of creatures with tiger heads and human bodies.

Mu Ying used Biological Recognition to probe them; these were Beastmen, Tiger Clan Beastmen.

With tiger heads, upright human bodies, fur covering many parts of their bodies, claw-like fingernails on their hands, and even tails, they had their own language system and were more agile with their hands and feet than tigers.

The highest level among them was 10, the lowest was also 3.

Their abilities mainly relied on their strong bodies and Innate Weapons.

Mu Ying observed this clan for a day. They seemed to mainly live by hunting for food in this birch forest.

Their hunting skills were first-rate, and they also made use of tools, although the tools they used were very primitive.

To Mu Ying, they resembled the primitive people of the Deep Blue Star in ancient times—using resources in very primitive ways, with a low standard of living, yet possessing strong survival abilities.

This birch forest and the surrounding wilderness had a strong sense of separation; the wilderness soil was visibly barren with only sparse wild grass managing to grow, while the birch forest had a thick layer of fallen leaves and humus, with different soil quality, which should be the original land inside the borders of Bear Country and the terrain conformed to that as well.

This group of Tiger Clan Beastmen must have migrated here from the wilderness.

Continuing forward, she passed several wilderness areas that alternated with Bear Country’s own land. The situation was similar everywhere; few Beastmen stayed on the wilderness, rather there were remains of areas where some clans used to live.

Whether herbivorous or carnivorous Beastmen, they all lived in roughly the same primitive state, as if they were not part of the same epoch as other races with dazzling civilizations.

Now, Mu Ying understood somewhat why the World Forum said that the aggressiveness of the Beastmen had increased.

If the lands they originally inhabited were as barren as the wastelands, they would certainly grab at the chance, at all costs, to take over the lands and biological resources of Deep Blue Star, which were bountiful after the world integration.

Because their very means of survival already leaned more towards extraction from nature, herbivores would consume grass, leaves, and wild fruits, while carnivores would hunt everywhere—without any farming, breeding, or pastoral activities.

Viewed in this light, the Beastmen’s way of life seemed akin to that of ordinary animals, but Mu Ying saw the hidden dangers and harm in their mode of living.

In nature, animals with a similar lifestyle to Beastmen have natural predators, and without human interference, their numbers are maintained within a reasonable range, without causing significant harm to the environment.

But Beastmen were different, as they had language and far greater intelligence than animals.

Wolves are the natural predators of sheep, but Wolf Clan Beastmen wouldn’t eat Sheep Clan Beastmen, and they could even communicate with each other. At most, the Sheep Clan Beastmen would be bullied by the Wolf Clan Beastmen, but they would not eat each other.

The Beastmen’s fecundity was not poor either; their numbers increased briskly, lacking natural predators and aside from the fact that they did not engage in production, their continual extraction of resources from nature meant that they would inevitably lead to the exhaustion of natural resources.

Were those wastelands truly barren from the outset?

If these were mere conjectures, then when she saw the grasslands nibbled bare by the Rabbit Clan Beastmen, conjecture turned into reality.

Perhaps for a short while, their excessive extraction from nature without giving back would not lead to the degradation of Bear Country itself, but in the long run, the wastelands of today might be Bear Country’s future.

And once the Beastmen ran out of food and could no longer survive, with their average strength not poor, in fact, rather strong, wouldn’t it be an obvious choice for them to invade regions rich in resources, relying on their combat prowess?

Just as they were now trying to take over the lands of Bear Country with better resources, annihilating several No Master Camps.

How far off could future wars be?

Even if they were the ones causing environmental destruction, and continuing to do so without looking back, under Mu Ying’s Eye of Nature vision, there was no dark presence that nature abhorred.

Although the natural power in them was so faint it was almost invisible, they were not abhorred by nature.

Why?

Mu Ying was baffled.

It was only when she saw a group of Wolf Clan Beastmen eat their prey, leaving nothing to waste, not even the internal organs, and cleaning their plates thoroughly, that Mu Ying realized the Beastmen plundered for survival.

They were simply trying to stay alive, living so sparingly that not even the slightest resource was wasted.

Any life form that takes from nature for survival, even if it wounds nature all over, will still not be abhorred by it; in fact, natural power would still surround them.

The tolerance of nature touched Mu Ying.

As if in response to her realization, natural power flowed into the Natural Bracelet.

Following that, all effects of the Natural Bracelet were enhanced compared to before.

Recovery Spring now condensed more water each day, Feedback Claw could harvest more daily, Wild Tooth provided a stronger boost to the Wild Form than before, Balance Scythe did more damage to creatures abhorred by nature, and the protecting power of Guardian Armor was also strengthened, increasing Mu Ying’s overall strength by a notch.

Every time she understood nature a bit deeper, Mu Ying felt proud to be a Druid, fortunate to protect nature.

Nature, in its benevolence, tolerance, and selflessness, is the cradle of life, and something no personified God can compare with.
