I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 420 - 420 406 Global Bulletin420: Chapter 406 Global Bulletin 420: Chapter 406 Global Bulletin “A Multiple Challenger Trial World?” Mu Ying heard this term for the first time.

The other parts were pretty much in line with her own speculations, only the concept of a Multiple Challenger Trial World was fresh to her.

Would there be situations where multiple trialists enter the same world for their trials in the future?

Shom nodded his head but said no more.

After dinner, when Grandpa Shom left with the Oak Tree Fairy and Wuyaya, Mu Ying continued to ponder over this matter.

Each trialist can only open up to three exclusive trial worlds.

After that, if you want to encounter new trial worlds, you’ll have to spend Source Power to enter the Multiple Challenger Trial Worlds.

This notion of Multiple Challenger Trial Worlds reminded Mu Ying of the first time she bound her Trial Taker Wooden Token, the entrance animation she saw, and the origins of the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial that Grandpa Shom had previously explained.

The Ten Thousand Worlds Trial is actually an arena where various universes compete for resources, namely Source Power.

However, since it’s a spiritual participation, the worlds of the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial are virtual, and the casualties incurred in the competition don’t truly affect reality, making it a relatively mild and peaceful method of competition.

Up to now, her interactions seemed to involve trialists who were independent of one another, each training in their own separate worlds.

The word “competition” hardly seemed to apply.

Mu Ying had thought that the competition was to see who could individually earn the most Source Power, but now it seemed that the real competition would be in the later Multiple Challenger Trial Worlds.

The Ten Thousand Worlds Trial does not only connect to a single universe in the Multiverse.

Suddenly, she felt that the world she had experienced up to now was still too small, she hadn’t even fully understood Deep Blue Star.

“Keep it up!” Mu Ying motivated herself before slowly drifting off to sleep.

...

In the early morning, light flickered above the “Qingshan – Lingtian” Transmission Array on Sky Square, and a group of young people with backpacks appeared there.

“We finally made it, Qingshan Town!”

...

[Deep Blue Star’s first City-level Territory “Qingshan City” has been born.

The competition for City-level Territories officially begins.

The first territory to become a medium-sized city will be rewarded with a blueprint for an unrestricted Cross-border Teleportation Array, the right to mint coins, and one each of Gold, Silver, and Copper mining resource points for coin minting.

We urge all Lords to continue to work hard in developing their territories!]

Mu Ying woke up early in the morning and was checking the growth of the transformation moss in her stone house.

Then she heard the familiar electronic sound and jolted awake.

It was this sound that always played during worldwide announcements in the Doomsday Game.

“Qingshan...

City?” Mu Ying hurriedly left the stone house and summoned her Player Manual.

There were several unread notifications on her adventure record as well.

[Your territory meets the upgrade requirements, upgrading to a small-sized city]

[Sub-camp Map has been upgraded]

[Short-range Teleportation Array blueprint has been upgraded]

[Cross-Regional Transfer Array blueprint has been unlocked]

[Territory Internal Network blueprint has been unlocked]

“Wow, my territory really did upgrade!”

Mu Ying hadn’t paid attention to her territory for a while; the conditions for upgrading the territory were too vague, and she could only do her best and leave the rest to fate.

She hadn’t expected to be caught off guard with such a huge surprise.

She hurriedly flipped to the territory interface to check the specifics.

[Territory Name: Qingshan City]

[Lord: Mu Ying]

[Territory Level: Small-sized City]

...

[Residents: 10003]

...

The resident count had reached ten thousand, and by this morning, more new players must have entered the territory, Mu Ying surmised that this must be the last condition for the upgrade of his territory.

Mu Ying then went to check several blueprints that had changed.

First were the Sub-camp blueprints.

Following the upgrade, the scale limit of the Sub-camps increased from 2 hectares to 5 hectares, more than doubling in size.

The construction range of the Sub-camps had also expanded from a 300-kilometer radius of the territory to a 500-kilometer radius.

The maximum transmission distance of the Short-range Teleportation Array had accordingly been augmented.

The most crucial were the two newly unlocked functional blueprints.

[Facility: Cross-Regional Transfer Array]

[Function: Supports inter-regional teleportation within the same plane/planet]

[Size: Each teleportation can transport up to 10 people, with a distance not exceeding the plane/planet where the territory is located]

[Required Materials: 10 million energy]

[Conversion Blueprint Requirement: 100,000 energy]

“Ten million?” Mu Ying counted the zeros again, good heavens, 10 million energy to build once, and that would cost 1000 Gold Coins!

That was no small number!

Discounting the money she had earned herself, the net income of her territory to date was only a little over a thousand Gold Coins!

Thinking about the Doomsday Game’s announced city-level territory competition, only the first to upgrade to a medium-sized city would get those rewards.

To upgrade to a medium-sized city, wouldn’t it be necessary to have several Cross-Regional Transfer Arrays?

That would really burn through money!

At this moment, Mu Ying was exceptionally grateful for Sharon.

Vampires truly were the best when it came to giving away money.

If it weren’t for killing her, where would she have amassed so much money?

Now her entire fortune was: 10 Purple Gold Coins, 2500 Gold Coins, as well as a certain number of silver coins and copper coins.

Within it, 10 Purple Gold Coins and 1000 Gold Coins came from Sharon and her manservants.

With this savings, Mu Ying was completely free of financial pressure when it came to building a Cross-Regional Transfer Array.

As for the other territories, Mu Ying silently lit a candle for them.

If they didn’t have the fortune to make a windfall, how difficult would it be just to build a few Cross-Regional Transfer Arrays?

The advantage of being the first to upgrade one’s territory was still immense!

Mu Ying continued to examine the last new functional blueprint.

[Facility: Territory Internal Network]

[Function: A facility that allows Locals to communicate within the territory.

The Lord can design unique identity logos for the Internal Network and assign them to the Locals, with free Internal Network functions including: Territory Affairs and Local Profiles sections.

Paid Internal Network functions include: Territory Forum and Local Social sections, which can be selectively enabled.]

[Size: Unlimited]

[Required Materials: Basic construction 10,000 energy; free function sections 10,000 energy each; paid Internal Network sections 10,000 energy each, additional indeterminate energy costs will be incurred during use.]

[Conversion Blueprint Requirement: 1,000 energy]

This was something that truly shocked Mu Ying.

An internal network!

How advanced!

But on careful consideration, the functionalities of this Territory Internal Network seemed like another version of the Player Manual.

At first glance, the functionalities appeared slightly different, but the presentation mode was all too similar.

Mu Ying could not help but speculate that the Player Manual might just be a terminal for the Multiverse’s Internal Network!

After all, according to her knowledge, in the Multiverse, everyone possessed a Player Manual, including all intelligent beings.

With this device, Mu Ying could facilitate smoother information flow within the territory, make connections among the Locals tighter, and she could more conveniently master the situation of the territory, managing Local information and movements.

The most critical point was that other territories did not have it yet.

It would be a waste not to attract a wave of other players at this juncture.

Mu Ying estimated that to upgrade to a medium-sized city, the Local population was yet another significant hurdle.
