I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 421 - 421 407 Territory Internal Network421: Chapter 407: Territory Internal Network 421: Chapter 407: Territory Internal Network The Territory Internal Network differed from the physical installations previously, as it wasn’t substantial.

The construction cost was much cheaper compared to the Cross-Regional Transfer Array, only needing a total of 5 Gold Coins to activate all free and paid modules.

Mu Ying didn’t even blink before opting to commence construction.

An invisible energy appeared and merged with her territory interface.

[Please design the interface of the Internal Network, this interface will appear when Local People summon the Internal Network]

A prompt message popped up.

To Mu Ying, who referred to the Player Manual, this interface was akin to the appearance of the Player Manual.

After some thought, she designed a transparent screensaver encircled by green vines, which when not summoned, appeared as a vine-like mark on the back of the player’s hand.

The green mark, in varying shades from light to dark, indicated non-official residents, official residents, and star-level residents, with deeper shades implying a higher resident status.

This mark could be chosen to be hidden or shown at will.

[Internal Network interface loaded, highest authority “Lord” credentials being issued...]

[Issue successful, please check it yourself.]

A dark green vine mark appeared on Mu Ying’s hand, which she could easily hide with a swipe, similar to summoning the Player Manual—a thought triggered the appearance of a screensaver surrounded by green vines right in front of her.

[Local People Social Section](Section icon customizable)

Mu Ying was astonished, how similar was this to a smartphone app?

She could even design the icons herself.

She casually created several plant-like designs and then checked out these sections.

The Territory Affairs Section served much like the current Territory Notice Board, specifically for posting information related to territory affairs.

Only users with Lord or Administrator permissions could post here.

Mu Ying thought it over and modeled this section after the Territory Notice Board, not only a section for general notifications and announcements but also, dividing it up into sections for notices related to the Sub-camps, later setting those camp leaders as Sub-camp section managers so they could post relevant notifications here.

She continued to manage the Territory Tasks notification section herself.

Then, recalling the Territory Specialty Store, she added an area for the Specialty Store, dedicated to sharing news about new products.

It then led her to innovate further by adding an advertising area where territory merchants could post advertisements, and she could collect ad fees.

These smaller sectional boards Mu Ying consolidated into one classified entry, containing various information headers; without choosing a category filter, everything mixed together would show up.

However, different category headings were in different colored fonts.

For instance, general territory notices were in red, Territory Task notifications in orange, Sub-camp and Territory Specialty Store information in green, and advertisements in yellow.

The Local People Records Section resembled the current Resident Identity Card.

It would directly fetch and display player’s basic information, including name, profession, and level, sourced from the Player Manual without falsehoods.

Subsequently, there were other items that other Lords could add permissions for.

Mu Ying added Resident Level, territory address, territory deposit, Territory Contribution, and Territory Transfer projects, thereby directly replacing the Resident Identity Card with this records section.

After setting Little Stone as an administrator, some management data from the Crystal City facilities could also be synchronized here, thus adding several more Crystal City-related items, including test results and test house queue numbers.

This considerably simplified the gathering of territory information; newly arriving players wanting to test would not need to collect an Identity Card from the back of the test monument anymore, just needing access to the Territory Internal Network.

Once Local People had access to the Territory Internal Network, they could find all necessary information here, with the Territory Deposit section functioning just like online banking.

Not only could it be used directly for transferring fees for various territory services, but it also allowed transfers between Local People or any immediate deposits and withdrawals.

The Territory Contribution still mimicked the system Mu Ying had previously established.

Territory Transfer integrated the features of the previous Short-range Teleportation Array; wanting an internal transfer now required just opening this section, with the fees directly deducted from the deposit balance.

Both these sections were free, with no extra charges incurred during use, but the following Territory Forum Section and Local People Social Section were different.

The Territory Forum Section worked like the World Forum, a public area for posting and chatting.

Every 1000 comment posts or every 100 topic posts would cost 1 point of energy.

Mu Ying, of course, would not bear this cost herself, hence she added a paid option on the user end as well, where 1 copper coin could sponsor 100 comment posts, or 10 topic posts.

This way, she stood to make a profit in the process.

She could also set posting modes including anonymous, real name, and optional.

During the use of the World Forum, anonymous functions sometimes proved inconvenient and even intensified conflicts between players from different regions, so here Mu Ying set it to real-name posting mode.

This would ensure people were more cautious when expressing opinions, aiding in maintaining harmony within the territory.

As for the final Local People Social module, it resembled a private chat section, allowing friends adding for private chats or group chatting with multiple people.

This section was more expensive, with each private chat consuming 1 energy point per 10 messages, and each group chat’s launch costing 1 energy point, along with chat processes costing 1 energy point per ten messages.

Mu Ying set it as 5 messages for 1 copper coin, and 2 copper coins for starting a group chat.

The entire Territory Internal Network was akin to a private telephone usable within the territory, featuring online banking, chatting, and making friends.

However, beyond the range of the protective shield, there was no “network,” still inferior to pre-apocalypse phones and internet but more portable.

As long as Local People logged into the Territory Internal Network, life in the territory could be exceedingly convenient, and Mu Ying could also peruse and manage Local People’s information and monitor public sentiment through her highest authority Lord account.

No player who had experienced the information era could resist the Territory Internal Network.

This would become another trademark of Qingshan Town before other territories had initiated this feature.

After setting up the functionalities and permissions for each area, Mu Ying first made a Dingling Flower call to all Sub-camp leaders, notifying them to attend a meeting at the territory reception center.
