“This is definitely a big move!”

“Is our territory planning to expand outward?”

“Forum lurker for a hundred years, I’m no good at road construction, but I’m great at information gathering!”

...

In no time, the number of people taking on tasks was countless.

With the gathering of information and the construction of roads connecting the surrounding No Master Camps handed over to the local people, Mu Ying had it much easier; she only needed to wait a while, occasionally flipping through the comments section of the announcements, to filter and summarize.

Later, she even outsourced the tasks of filtering and summarizing, leaving them to the business team under Professor Du.

Mu Ying herself then got busy with other things.

First up was recruitment.

The previous shop blueprints for recruitment were all basic shops; slightly more advanced shops had requirements that were not ordinary: either they demanded a permanent tax exemption, or they wanted a reverse settlement fee, or they simply displayed as unrecruitable.

In short, high-end shops seemed to look down on a small and remote territory.

Mu Ying only selected one of each type of shop that was necessary for daily life, and didn’t recruit any more than that.

After all, the territory’s population was not large, and the local people didn’t have much money; their purchasing power was low, so it was enough to meet the basic needs of life.

Then Half-Breeds joined in, and every Half-Breed was a good hand at business; they created a Sleepless City, with all kinds of shops blooming, and there was no shortage of basic shops.

So Mu Ying hadn’t thought about recruitment for a long time.

This time she had the idea because her territory was the first City-level Territory in Deep Blue Star, and some shops saw the potential of Qingshan City, lowered their requirements, and actively requested to settle in.

As long as they complied with the tax rate of the territory, without any excessive demands, the more shops, the better.

After all, competition leads to progress; with more shops, the local people would have more choices.

What’s most crucial is that when shops are recruited, the shop owners also directly become part of the local people, and they are talents too!

Looking at these shop profiles, Mu Ying could glimpse a bit of the outside world.

Various restaurants, clothing stores, equipment shops, daily necessities stores, and the upgraded version of comprehensive grocery stores—department stores, even those that rented carriages and managed cargo transportation.

Based on the diversity of these shops and goods, the food culture, clothing culture, and business atmosphere of the outside world weren’t much different from Deep Blue Star before the apocalypse.

And in some aspects, it was even more open, because she also saw Brothel, Cowherd Shop, and the corresponding service halls.

They even specifically mentioned that a large number of positions could be provided.

Aside from these special service industry shops, Mu Ying originally wanted to accept anyone who applied to settle in, as long as they sent a request to settle, after all, even if the shops lost money, she would earn.

But she didn’t expect to be prompted that a maximum of three similar types could be recruited.

Mu Ying had to select carefully.

This time the equipment category shops included some more advanced ones, even featuring Purple Quality equipment.

However, Mu Ying was already decked out to the hair with Little Red’s equipment, so she didn’t need any, but other players did.

After breathing in over twenty shops, Mu Ying called it quits.

Once the shops were recruited, Mu Ying thought about creating more job opportunities for the players who would soon be coming to the territory.

The manufacturing industry was completely unfeasible for now, as food processing at the Breeding Camp and mass production of equipment at the Iron Refining Camp were still being researched, so she could only look for solutions in the resource industry.

Materials collected could also be directly exchanged for money.

With an expanded range of Sub-camp construction, Mu Ying thought it might be time to search for more underwater mining sites and set up mining camps.

But this time she didn’t want to search for them herself, mainly because, even with Fish Tail Potion and Breathing Potion, it was a time and effort-consuming task, somewhat less important compared to establishing Transmission Arrays.

To get ahead of other territories, and level up to a midsize city as soon as possible, she had to save time wherever possible.

So she planned to cooperate with the merfolk.

The mermaids were much more familiar with the ocean than she was, and from what she observed, the merfolk weren’t very interested in those undersea veins, and they didn’t have enough manpower to mine them.

By breeding Glowing pearl clams, they could have endless wealth.

However, the mermaids were too rich; to get them to help search for veins, money and Contribution Points were not attractive at all, and she’d need another bargaining chip.

That’s where the importance of the Human Leg Potion came in.

Which mermaid could resist the temptation to walk on land?

This would still take some time, waiting for the transformation moss to mature, a completed Magic Potion available, and then negotiations could take place.

Once she had these matters in order, she could start out to build the Transmission Array.

There were many things to do, but none that could be completed in the short term.

Mu Ying swiftly wrote down the key points on paper, clarified the key points in her mind, and would proceed step by step when the time came.

In the meantime, she had plenty of free time, and Mu Ying refocused her attention on improving her personal strength.

The turtle shell plan had to be implemented, Experience needed to keep accumulating, and the remaining 4th-circle Spells had to be learned.

With a bit more effort, she hoped to complete this Stage’s learning tasks before setting out.

She checked her leveling progress.

[Profession: Druid Level 8 (3050/3600)]

She was only 550 Professional Experience points away from reaching Level 9, with a little effort, leveling up before setting out was not impossible.
