I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 408 - 408 396 Mermaid Princess408: Chapter 396 Mermaid Princess 408: Chapter 396 Mermaid Princess Having spent a day lying flat in the shop, Mu Ying got busy again the next day.

The coming-of-age ceremony of the little Mermaid Princess was just a few days away.

The story hadn’t begun yet, and for now, Mu Ying was mainly researching Magic Potions out of personal interest.

In the tale of the Mermaid Princess, the mermaid made a wish to the witch to become human, and the witch provided her with a potion and cut off her tongue, taking away her beautiful voice as payment.

The potion that could permanently turn a mermaid into a human had some peculiar side effects.

Every step she took felt as though she were walking on knives, and only by marrying the Prince could she walk on land without issue; if the Prince married someone else, she would turn into foam.

In the sea, besides mermaids, there were only witches.

So, this witch was likely a witch indeed.

But which witch would be foolish enough to create such a Magic Potion?

Having researched Magic Potions for so long, Mu Ying knew some basics, even though she was no match for those much older, experienced witches.

Creating each Magic Potion wasn’t an overnight affair.

The Mermaid Princess went and asked, and the witch promptly handed her something.

Why would any witch have previously researched a Magic Potion with such severe side effects, and seemingly even anticipating that the Mermaid Princess would seek it for love?

No matter how you think about it, it just didn’t make sense.

This potion seemed less like a Magic Potion and more like a curse or perhaps even a scam.

Having been in Crystal City for so long, Mu Ying had come to know all the witches active here, and none of them were the type to cut people’s tongues.

Therefore, Mu Ying didn’t know how the story would progress after this, but considering the previous stories that were superficially similar to the fairy tales she remembered, but vastly different in reality, she didn’t dwell on it.

However, as a green witch and a Magic Potion Man, her natural interest in Magic Potions remained, and she still wanted to research the potion that could transform a mermaid’s tail into human legs.

As it turned out, the mermaids in this world have a different internal body structure, and they cannot breathe in air on their own, but that was relatively easy to solve.

Another version of the Breathing Potion could indeed resolve this issue, and it had a corresponding formula.

However, the matter of turning a mermaid’s tail into human legs was still unresolved.

But with the Fish Tail Potion as a model, there was a small direction for research.

However, this was just a hobby for Mu Ying, not an urgency, so she would look into it whenever she had some time over the next few days.

Having researched for several days without much progress, the coming-of-age ceremony for the little Mermaid Princess arrived.

The ceremony was held in the Crystal Palace.

Unlike the human world, where big and small events are celebrated with grand ceremonies and large audiences, the mermaids kept it relatively confined.

For the mermaids, except for the coronation ceremony which was publicly held and open for the general public to attend, all other events were conducted internally, with at most the nobles in attendance.

Aside from the Tribute Witch of the Mermaid Royal Family, Mu Ying and the others couldn’t go to watch.

However, Mu Ying wasn’t worried about missing out on the story.

After opening her witch’s grocery store, Mu Ying started a VIP membership event wherein customers, during the event period, could earn a Double Petal Dingling Flower pendant for purchasing a certain amount of goods in the store, while another flower remained in the store.

In the future, members would be notified of new arrivals through this exclusive Dingling Flower pendant.

Moreover, this offer was limited to only three members, until all were claimed.

As Princess Lulu of the Mermaid Kingdom, she definitely didn’t worry about spending money, and she showed interest in the novel items from the shore, especially since Mu Ying had crafted some artisan trinkets specifically targeted at her.

She successfully became the first member of the store.

In her pendant, Mu Ying had left a special Magic Mark and had Windsor help her solidify and hide it, allowing Mu Ying to roughly track Princess Lulu’s whereabouts.

As soon as she left Crystal City, Mu Ying would be able to feel it.

Mermaids are prohibited from going to the surface before reaching adulthood not just due to customs but also because their bodies are not strong enough before adulthood.

Only after receiving blessings at their coming of age ceremony, can their bodies be exposed to air normally.

Before the coming-of-age ceremony, the Double Petal Flower pendant kept moving, and Mu Ying had checked several times to confirm that Lulu indeed carried it with her at all times.

It was the same during the coming of age ceremony.

Although Mu Ying couldn’t attend the ceremony, she knew Princess Lulu’s activities like the back of her hand.

She just waited for the ceremony to end, and for Princess Lulu to start the plot.

In fact, she didn’t have to wait long.

That very evening, Princess Lulu took action.

Mu Ying sensed her leaving Crystal City and continuously moving upstream.

Following from afar, once Mu Ying confirmed she was indeed heading to the surface, she circumvented and burst forth onto the surface, taking a seat on the Magic Flying Carpet and closely monitoring the Mermaid Princess’s movements from the air.

This was a bit more covert, and being close, there was no worry of being discovered.

In the mist-filled sea with rough waves and a violent storm, Princess Lulu surfaced for the first time.

At the edge of the Mist Sea Domain, a magnificent ship was inadvertently caught in the storm, and soon, the ship was overturned by the huge waves.

Ronald was clinging desperately to an empty oak barrel amidst the waves, growing weaker and weaker.

Suddenly, amidst the dark, despairing world, a flash of red appeared.

After that, he completely lost consciousness.

Princess Lulu couldn’t believe her luck, her first visit to the surface and she saw a human with legs, completely different from the witches, a human male!

“Hey, wake up, are you okay?” Princess Lulu had longed for the human world, and immediately took a liking to the first human she met.

Of course, she couldn’t just watch him drown, especially since he was so handsome, his furrowed brow too pitiful.

Princess Lulu, pushing with half her body on the oak barrel, swam towards the outskirts of the Mist Sea Domain, intending to take him to shore.

In the sky, Mu Ying silently followed, feeling somewhat curious.

In stories, the Mermaid Princess would take the drowning Prince to shore, do a good deed, and leave without revealing her identity, which later led to a mistaken recognition of the lifesaver.

The distance to land wasn’t close at all.

Carrying a person, swimming to shore, even for a mermaid, didn’t seem quite possible!

That day, she and Windsor flew at full speed on a broom for hours.

Moreover, most critically, it was Lulu’s first time to the surface; could she find the right direction?

If she randomly chose an island to place the Prince, on such a deserted island, an ordinary person might not survive!

What Prince in this world ever learns survival skills?

Lulu, carrying the person, swam out of the Mist Sea Domain.

The sea outside was much calmer, and she stopped to rest for a while, way too tired!

“The book says, if you continue from the Mist Sea Domain, you can find land.

Don’t worry, I will definitely get you back,”

Lulu spoke to the unconscious Prince.
