I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 296 - 296 292 Snow Mountain Guardian God296: Chapter 292: Snow Mountain Guardian God 296: Chapter 292: Snow Mountain Guardian God After hearing Li Luoxia’s somewhat pessimistic remarks, Mu Ying was a bit worried.

This Snow Mountain Guardian God was really too strange.

She still remembered what Priestess Granny had told her—Deep Blue Star was an Original World with the potential to produce gods, and that extraterrestrial gods currently couldn’t truly enter it; at most, they could develop priests to help spread their teachings.

But since Deep Blue Star used to develop in the direction of technology, there were very few believers, and even fewer among those believers who were qualified to become priests.

So now extraterrestrial gods didn’t have much influence on Deep Blue Star.

Moreover, the Evolution Center also restricted low-level faith gods from entering, and the gods chosen by priests on Deep Blue Star were all selected by the Evolution Center from the strong gods of the good or neutral lawful alignments; they were more principled and the chances of them causing trouble were very slim.

Even the pan-believers didn’t interest them much; up to now, she hadn’t heard any news on the forums about priests proselytizing.

Even the priests themselves were mostly hopping back and forth among several gods and didn’t yet have the qualification to be recognized by any particular god.

So what was this Snow Mountain Guardian God?

It couldn’t possibly be a native god—the time was too short, not even a rocket’s speed could allow one to become a god that quickly.

And why would a powerful god granted missionary rights by the Evolution Center demean itself with a title like Snow Mountain Guardian God?

Isn’t that lowering its own value?

Other gods were even less likely, as the Evolution Center’s blockade was still in place!

Even the Fishman could only worship a Divine Statue; the statue had no response at all, relying solely on the Divine Power it carried to influence the minds of living creatures around it.

Therefore, Mu Ying was certain, this Snow Mountain Guardian God couldn’t possibly be a real deity.

She selectively shared her judgment with Li Luoxia and the others.

Li Luoxia pondered.

She was level 6 now, and indeed, the few gods with whom she usually maintained close contact had never sent teachings, nor had they given any special responses; it seemed that the strength she received wasn’t entirely based on the sincerity of her prayers.

It was also because she, herself, was a priest that the gods had a great influence on her; she had a deeper sense of reverence for them, and hearing the title of the Snow Mountain Guardian God had sapped her morale in advance.

Was the other party’s prophecy necessarily correct?

Probably not.

“What do you think, could this Snow Mountain Guardian God possibly be the monster from the previous Snow Mountain instance?

After all, the location of the Snow Mountain Camp mentioned by that group is also on the back side of Luoxia Mountain,” Wu Qingshan said, stroking his chin.

“What could its purpose be?

It surely can’t be to genuinely help humans and provide assistance for nothing!

To take a more conspiratorial view, this heavy snow might also be related to it!

If the snow keeps falling like this, it’s normal for the valley to get buried, and after it’s buried?

We might be able to run, but a lot more people don’t have the money to escape; what will they do when they are driven to desperation?”

“Seek refuge in the Snow Mountain Camp?” Lin Zhixiu suggested.

Mu Ying nodded, “That’s very likely.

As for what it specifically is, we’ll know once we see.

If this Snow Mountain Guardian God wants people, then they probably won’t cause any trouble for now.

There’s a high chance what they want is something like followers similar to believers, otherwise they wouldn’t have a title with the term ‘god’ in it, and they wouldn’t just provide food for people; they also teach them to make weapons and hunt.

If it’s just to lure people over and then kill them, teaching people to make weapons and hunt would be a loss.

If they just want to expand their influence and desire people’s support, perhaps there’s a possibility of negotiation.”

Mu Ying gave them as much advice as she could, but she didn’t consider joining their team to explore the Snow Mountain.

The Snow Mountain was an unfavorable terrain for her; the natural power there was nowhere near as strong as in forest regions, and her spell casting would be hugely affected.

Even Green Witch’s Plant Magic would be suppressed in such an environment.

Moreover, the Luoxia Team had been cooperating for a long time and had great synergy; her joining might not necessarily have a positive effect.

Therefore, she didn’t offer to join the team and help.

But that didn’t mean she was going to stand by indifferently.

Even though this place was far from Qingshan Town, if it was some creature with great malice towards humans or that could disrupt the natural environment, she still needed to be prepared.

If Li Luoxia and her team couldn’t solve it, she would eventually have to face it and learning about it in advance was essential.

She was quite curious about how this Snow Mountain Guardian God managed to feed a large group of people on the Snow Mountain.

She couldn’t go openly, but sneaking there alone was possible.

And this wasn’t something she needed to hide from them.

“Sister Li, I’m also quite interested in the true nature of this Snow Mountain Guardian God.

However, in the Snow Mountain environment, my Strength will be reduced, and I might not be of much help in a head-on confrontation.

But I can still conceal myself and follow closely from the sky.”

“I also possess a spell of Biological Recognition that reveals Race, level, and ability information, which could provide some insights for you,” Mu Ying said, and even took out a pair of Double Petal Flowers, handing one to Li Luoxia.

Introducing it, she said, “This is a Double Petal Flower.

If you touch this bud, you can communicate with me.

In case something happens, we can contact each other through this and it can serve as a contingency plan.”

Li Luoxia hadn’t thought of asking Mu Ying for help, but her own daughter was a Druid; in such icy and snowy conditions, even the entanglement technique’s Spell Casting Speed and effect were affected.

Although Mu Ying was stronger, had a higher level, and had abilities gained from the Trial World, asking her to disregard the dangers and accompany them into the Snow Domain was asking too much.

Which is why she hadn’t spoken up.

Unexpectedly, Mu Ying had taken the initiative to suggest following them, even if it was in secret; to have a backup plan was already a lot to ask for.

After all, the reason they wanted outside help was because they felt that the team’s Strength might not be sufficient and they wanted to be safer, to increase the chances of survival if they encountered danger in the Snow Domain.

If Mu Ying was secretly following them from the sky and they ran into danger, they wouldn’t be entirely without support.

The objective had in fact been achieved, and it would also help to deceive the enemy.

“Thank you for willing to help, this is already a great assistance.

If all five of us combined don’t have the Strength to fight back, it’s even better if you don’t show yourself.

When the time comes, please do what you can manage.

Protecting yourself is the most important.

No matter if you ultimately intervene or not, I, Li Luoxia, and even everyone in the Luoxia Team, will remember your kindness.

If one day you’re in danger, we will also do our best to help you!”

Li Luoxia was very touched and felt Mu Ying was a very righteous friend.

She didn’t even ask about the method Mu Ying used to discreetly follow from the sky, but instead gave her complete trust.

Mu Ying was somewhat embarrassed and smiled, saying, “Don’t worry, I’m not doing this entirely for you.

If this widespread snowfall is indeed caused by the Snow Mountain Guardian God, then they are also an enemy of Druids.

Dealing with them, I can also gain Professional Experience.”
