I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 295 - 295 291 Luoxia Anomaly (August End Ranking Sprint Bonus 33)295: Chapter 291 Luoxia Anomaly (August End Ranking Sprint Bonus 3/3) 295: Chapter 291 Luoxia Anomaly (August End Ranking Sprint Bonus 3/3) For the matter of the Trial World, the next day, Mu Ying planned to make a trip to Luoxia Town to give Li Luoxia a heads-up.

Luoxia Territory had also become a town-level territory now.

As soon as she stepped out of the Transmission Array, a bone-chilling cold soaked through her, causing her to shudder greatly.

Knowing that Luoxia Town, located in a gourd-shaped canyon with lush grass and a pleasant climate, was near the Snow Mountain and that even though it was already spring, it should still be a bit colder than Qingshan Town, she had switched her Thousand Faces Clothes from a spring shirt to a fleece-lined early winter dress before she left home.

Despite that, she was still quite frozen.

Last year, the green pastures and leisurely cattle and sheep were gone, and all that met her eyes now was a blanket of white.

Snowflakes fluttered through the air, and the town square no longer had tents in sight.

There were no pedestrians on the roads, but the number of stone houses had increased significantly, been expanded, and had more stories.

Most of the stone houses had smoke coming out of their chimneys, which likely meant they were inhabited.

Mu Ying huddled and cast a spell on herself to withstand elemental damage, and only then did she start to feel warmer.

The weather in Luoxia Town was really abnormal!

She walked to the edge of the square and knocked on the door of the medical clinic stone house.

It took quite a while before someone came to open the door—it was Lin Zhixiu.

Lin Zhixiu was momentarily stupefied upon seeing Mu Ying but quickly reacted, pulling her into the house, “Why did you dress so lightly?

Are you frozen?

Come in and warm up!”

“Is the weather here a bit abnormal?

I thought it wouldn’t be much colder than Qingshan Town,” Mu Ying asked.

She noticed that Lin Zhixiu’s spirits were not great either; her eyebrows were furrowed when she opened the door.

Seeing it was her, her expression eased, fearing that something bad had happened in Luoxia Town.

“It is very abnormal, last year was nothing like this.

It’s a long story, but the lords are here, I’ll tell you more about it later,” Lin Zhixiu said, rubbing her hands as she led her upstairs to the large room she had visited last time.

Upon entering, warmth greeted them.

The room had increased from one fireplace to two since her last visit, both burning vigorously, with several braziers also lit.

“Mu Ying, how come you are here?” Li Luoxia asked in surprise.

Her unexpected visitor was indeed a surprise but also a pleasure, as they had developed a certain friendship.

The arrival of a friend from afar somewhat alleviated her worries.

Mu Ying was led to sit beside her, with the members of the Luoxia Team all present.

“Of course, I came because there’s something I need to tell you.

What we discussed last time has been roughly confirmed.

I wanted to remind you that the Third World requires accumulating 50,000 Source Power to unlock, and the second world should be in the range of 500 to 50,000, with 5,000 being the most likely.”

Mu Ying directly stated her purpose.

Although the others were not trialists, the affairs of trialists were no longer a secret, and the identities of trialists had more restrictions than those of the lords.

Although a lord’s identity could be transferred if the individual was willing, a trialist’s identity was bound and couldn’t be stolen; thus, there wasn’t too much to worry about.

While this information was very valuable to trialists, to those who were not trialists and might not even be aware of Source Power, it sounded confusing.

Li Luoxia patted her hand, “Thank you for coming specifically to remind me of this.

I’ll be careful.

Since you’re here, have a good meal before you leave, especially since beef and mutton have been plentiful lately.”

Mu Ying nodded, “Has something happened here?

Why has the climate suddenly become so cold?

And it’s even snowing.”

“Ah, we’ve been worrying about that.

You know there’s an instance on Luoxia Mountain, right?

We weren’t clear about what kind it was before, and no creatures have come out, but after the recent world fusion, the Snow Mountain area expanded, causing the climate in the valley to be affected as well.

It almost turned into a Snow Domain, and the pastures were buried under heavy snow, and the cattle and sheep couldn’t survive the prolonged cold temperatures; they froze to death.

Staying overnight in tents outdoors has become nearly impossible, and I had to lower the rent for stone houses just to retain some people; otherwise, those with some savings might have all run off.

But now, with the ongoing snow outside, I can somewhat control the situation within the territory, but outside my territory, the snow is almost half a person deep, making travel problematic.

In a while, we might face a fuel crisis.

Does Qingshan Town have a coal mine?

Can you sell us some when the time comes?” Li Luoxia said.

Mu Ying nodded, “When the time comes, just go directly to the reception center in Qingshan Town and look for the business team.”

Who to sell to but not sell, aside from supplying coal to the Iron Refining Camp, was selling it to the territory players for fuel, but after spring started, the demand for fuel wasn’t high.

Sometimes when she had too much coal accumulated, she transformed it directly into energy.

But even if the Snow Mountain area expanded, it shouldn’t be snowing all day in the valley.

The instance location Mu Ying remembered was actually behind Luoxia Mountain.

Even if the world merged, the original Luoxia Mountain should buffer it and not have such a significant impact on Luoxia Territory.

Mu Ying felt something was amiss, and she voiced her concern.

“You’re right; we had the same suspicion because this change didn’t start with the world fusion; it appeared about half a month after the fusion, and the cold waves slowly crept into the valley while the outside of the valley was less affected.

However, we visited the Snow Mountain a few times and found nothing unusual.

Not until recently, because of the severe surrounding environment, some people, who didn’t have enough savings to take the transmission array, opted to leave Luoxia Town in groups for the reasonably safe Masterless Camp nearby to make a living.

Two days ago, the people who left came back.

They were wearing high-quality Snow Beast fur coats that shield against the cold, claiming they encountered the Snow Mountain Guardian God, who taught them Weapon Creation skills, led them to hunt Snow Beasts, provided a variety of fine wines and dishes, and helped them establish a paradise-like camp.

Moreover, the Snow Mountain Guardian God could prophesy and help them avoid dangers.

This time they returned because the Snow Mountain Guardian God prophesied, “Luoxia Valley will soon be submerged under heavy snow.”

They wanted to bring more people to that camp, where there’s no need to worry about having no place to live or nothing to eat, and everything required only labor without costing a penny.

Another group of people has already followed them and left.

We plan to visit the Snow Mountain again soon, find that camp with the Snow Mountain Guardian God, and see what the situation really is.”

Li Luoxia sighed, “If the prophecy of the Snow Mountain Guardian God is true, one day, Luoxia Town will be buried under heavy snow, and we may have to abandon the territory.

Fortunately, with the long-distance transmission array, we still have a way out.

The worst-case scenario is losing the lord’s identity and becoming a local person in your Qingshan Town.”
