I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 263 - 263 260 Blood Crow Nest263: Chapter 260: Blood Crow Nest 263: Chapter 260: Blood Crow Nest After finding out about the Divine Statue, Mu Ying posted a notice on the territory’s resident bulletin board regarding this matter.

Reminding players not to approach the Koutao Fishman’s active area recently, and if they do go, to be careful not to look directly at the Divine Statue near the altar, otherwise, they might lose their sanity.

“No wonder!

No wonder I couldn’t hold them back; they insisted on charging into the Fishman crowd to fight!”

“So it’s an Evil God Statue, are there really gods in this world?”

“Doesn’t that mean eternal life isn’t a dream?”

“Did the Lord personally investigate this?

She can’t handle the Fishmen either?”

“With so many Fishmen, even the Lord can’t fight them all by herself!

Besides, there’s that eerie Divine Statue!

Anyway, just because it’s not possible now doesn’t mean it won’t be possible later!”

...

Mu Ying actually isn’t at a loss with the Fishmen now; just like how she ground down the goblin tribe before, as long as she’s willing to spend time and be patient, there will always be a way to resolve it.

The main issue now is that she doesn’t have time, she still hasn’t learned much of the 4th circle spells, and there’s the Underground City to explore.

She’ll have to put the Fishmen issue off for later, but it also needs to be resolved as soon as possible.

Observing the altar with the Eye of Nature shows a pitch-black ink color, and the pale red sand and sea areas are still slowly spreading, with the entire area covered with a faint black qi.

Although not like the Withered Monsters before, whose black qi would contaminate the natural power.

Nature also loathes this place; wherever this black qi resides, the natural power retreats, and the damage to the natural environment is also quite significant.

However, this spread is very slow, probably because there are not enough jars under the altar.

With fewer players going there, the Koutao Fishmen won’t be able to capture sacrifices as easily.

Priestess Granny mentioned that the Koutao Fishman God particularly loves land creatures, and the best offerings to Him are those from the land, especially the intelligent beings.

After sending out the notice, she rode the Flying Carpet overnight to check the Blood Crow Nest.

The only benefit after the world fusion is that she can observe the situation from afar without getting near the replica area, especially since she can fly.

The safety has greatly increased.

The Blood Crow Replica was previously on the cliffs of Spirit Dragon Gorge.

As Mu Ying flew toward that place, still several miles away, she saw a swirl of black qi, like a tornado that reached into the sky, forming a large dark cloud.

Under the view of the Eye of Nature, the black qi at this place was even more exaggerated than at the Koutao Fishman Altar, and she even felt nature’s revulsion and pain towards that area.

The spot was exactly in the direction of Spirit Dragon Gorge.

As she flew closer, she got a clear view.

The cliffs of Spirit Dragon Gorge are still there, but next to it now stood a colossal structure.

The territory’s players call it the Blood Crow Nest, because overall it looks like a massive bowl-shaped object made up of countless white bones.

From the side, it looks like a bird’s nest.

But from the air, the inside of this bowl-shaped nest, on the inner wall, is covered with dark red trees without a single leaf, twisted in form like the forests ravaged by Withered Monsters, with prolific roots that tightly bind the whole nest together.

Being too far away, she couldn’t cast spells to figure out what kind of trees they were.

This was her first encounter with plants not cherished by nature; to know that even the most poisonous mushrooms carry natural power, but these trees are loathed by nature.

The trees were hung with flesh, and dense Blood Crows perched atop, with blood flowing down the branches to the ground, collecting at the bottom of the bowl-shaped nest.

The area at the bottom of the bowl was planted with a vast expanse of blood-red roses, each blooming so vividly it was as if they were dripping with allure.

In the middle of this sea of rose flowers stood an enormous white ancient castle, pure white like jade.

In front of the castle, there was a small blood-colored fountain, within which the water shimmered like rubies, clear and sparkling.

If one were to ignore the eerie Corpse Bone Forest around it, this white castle amidst the sea of roses would appear quite romantic and beautiful.

However, at that moment, it only elicited a chilling sensation upon closer inspection, as the bricks and stones used to construct the castle were all meticulously crafted from white bones.

Blood Crows were undead creatures, already devoid of life in their bodies.

What, then, might dwell within such a castle?

Such grandeur was unlikely to belong to an easily vanquished character.

Moreover, this nest was indeed moving southward.

Normally, the integration of an instance into the Main World would not affect the original terrain of the Main World, akin to applying several patches over the Main World.

The Blood Crow Nest was previously on the northern rock walls of Spirit Dragon Gorge.

After the integration, it should have remained on the north side, but now, it had moved to the south side and was some distance away from the Spirit Dragon Gorge.

The original Spirit Dragon Gorge Camp had been reduced to ruins.

Compared to the Koutao Fishmen, who were individually weaker and relied on numbers to win, the individual strength of the Blood Crows was even lesser than that of the Koutao Fishmen, but their numbers were even greater.

Mu Ying was not worried about this; she even previously thought the Blood Crows posed less of a threat than the Fishmen since she assumed they were like Ghouls—creatures without wit, purely driven by hunger.

Even if they were at a disadvantage in direct confrontation, there were many potential strategies since their behavior was simple.

Pits like the ones Old Mao and the others brazenly dug would not have been leaped into by intelligent monsters, but the Ghouls fell right in.

But now Mu Ying didn’t dare to think so; the Blood Crows might be brainless, but they were not wild creatures—they were specifically raised by someone.

If someone could rear such creatures, they definitely had a method of controlling them, so the behavioral patterns of the Blood Crows would be different.

Moreover, the Master of the Blood Crows was an even greater threat.

Looking at it this way, the Blood Crow Nest was much more troublesome than the Koutao Fishmen, but the one relief was that the nest did not have a significant impact on the surrounding environment, it was self-contained.

After probing the situation of the Blood Crow Nest, Mu Ying flew towards the Plantation on her Flying Carpet.

Lying on the Flying Carpet, gazing at the bright silver moon, she sighed deeply.

It seemed as though the burden weighing on her had suddenly grown much heavier.

As the Lord, she had to be aware of and address threats in the vicinity of her territory.

Although she would not necessarily share a fate with her territory, fighting to the last moment, if there truly were insurmountable enemies, the first thing she would do would be to open the Transmission Array and have everyone flee together.

But her territory, which she had built from the ground up, was thriving and developing vigorously; it would be hard to give up!

“Still too weak!” Mu Ying muttered softly.

After only a moment of dejection, she rallied again.

There would always be people stronger than her, no matter how advanced her cultivation became, and there would always be others she couldn’t defeat.

No matter what the future held or how powerful the enemies were, active response was necessary to harbor any hope of overcoming them.

Besides, she hadn’t even met the Master of that ancient castle yet.

Why worry unnecessarily?

Even if she wasn’t up to it, there was still the Half-Breed Clan Leader bound by the “Contract,” and it wouldn’t come to that dire a situation.
