I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 274 - 274 270 Witch and Werewolf274: Chapter 270 Witch and Werewolf 274: Chapter 270 Witch and Werewolf Mu Ying sighed once more at the magic of alchemy items, but unfortunately, her Talent for alchemy was poor.

Thankfully, she was wealthy and could afford to buy them just for fun.

She handed the Dingling Flower to the delivery witch, signed for her own purchases, and watched the delivery witch ride off on her horse to catch her next delivery.

As the witch disappeared into the distance, intersecting with an old horse-drawn carriage, Mu Ying prepared to store her items in her Space Ring and head back inside to study them.

But then she heard someone calling her name from behind.

The voice was somewhat familiar.

Confused, she turned around, and then her eyes lit up with surprise.

The old carriage was being driven by a young man, so Mu Ying hadn’t paid much attention, but it turned out that Senior Sister Margreta was sitting inside.

She leaned out from the carriage door, waving excitedly at her.

“Senior Sister!” Mu Ying waved back.

Senior Sister Margreta withdrew into the carriage and quickly reappeared at the door, ready to jump down.

The driver was startled and quickly stopped the carriage, swiftly catching her and said helplessly, “Be careful!”

Margreta patted the young man’s arm, “Don’t worry, I’m quite agile!”

Mu Ying: ???

Who was this man?

Oh no, it couldn’t be what she was thinking, could it?

Among the senior sisters, Mu Ying was most at ease about Margreta when it came to romance.

She was the kind of woman who could walk untouched through a sea of suitors, solely focused on finding a man with good genes for her children.

To not care was not to get hurt.

So, who was this man?

Senior Sister Margreta, holding the man’s hand, walked into the courtyard with him as he led the carriage.

“Let me introduce him.

This is my boyfriend, the father of my child, Artem, a Werewolf.”

Boyfriend, okay that’s normal, but the father of her child?

A Werewolf?

Mu Ying was astounded, “Senior Sister, you’re pregnant?”

And the father was a Werewolf?

Mu Ying remembered that several months ago, Senior Sister Margreta had heard about Werewolves around Birch Town and decided to check out the young Werewolf men, while also taking care of her direct junior sister.

That was not so long ago, and now there was a child?

And the way Margreta referred to him as the father of the child seemed different from what she had said before.

Hadn’t she stated she only wanted to have a child with no relation to the father?

Was this Artem that good?

Mu Ying looked at the man critically, observing his robust physique.

It was clear that his Constitution and Strength were very impressive.

Standing next to Margreta, he was a head taller than her, with decent looks, the strong and rugged type.

Even though he was also a Werewolf, this one didn’t have the ears and tail like Shi Yin did; he was almost indistinguishable from a normal human but had a more muscular build than the average young man.

Was he handsome?

Was this the type Senior Sister Margreta liked?

No wonder she hadn’t been able to find a suitable man among humans.

“It’s been 1 month,” Margreta said, laughing as she hugged Mu Ying, “Not bad, huh?

Our Xiao Muying is now a witch with a title, hahaha!”

Mu Ying: “...”

Don’t hug so tightly, be careful not to hurt the child!

Mu Ying couldn’t help but feel exasperated.

Senior Sister Margreta was still the same as always, not a bit more prudent despite being pregnant.

“Haha, messed up, a flush!” A brash laugh rang out.

Margreta’s smile froze, and through gritted teeth she said, “Su Na?”

Mu Ying nodded dumbly, oh no, they aren’t going to fight, are they!

After Margreta enrolled, Su Na left the Witch Forest.

Senior Sister Margreta should have missed her greatly, but unfortunately, before Mu Ying knew about Su Na’s identity, she accidentally revealed during a chat with the senior sisters how Su Na had said she didn’t want children when she was young but liked them enough to be a godmother when she was old.

Subsequently, Su Na’s guise fell away when Margreta recognized her voice, and that’s when the mother and daughter had a huge fight.

There were mother-daughter feelings, but not much.

Could it be that Margreta was so quick to come knocking with her child just because she was holding a grudge against Su Na?

Margreta charged into the house with a fierce momentum, “Mom!”

Caught in the midst of excitement preparing to collect money, Su Na heard the voice and jolted, “happily” looking at her and saying, “Why are you here?”

“Hmph!

Didn’t want to have kids when young?

Mom, is that true?” Margreta said with a sarcastic smile.

“Of course it’s fake.

That was all for finding a job, I’ve always loved children,” Su Na said with a steely certainty as her smile dropped.

Margreta responded non-committally, “Then it’s just as well, because you already have a granddaughter.”

“!!!”

All humor drained from Su Na, “What do you mean?

You’re pregnant?

The father of the child is...”

Before she could finish, she caught sight of Artem entering behind Mu Ying, and couldn’t stay seated any longer, “A werewolf?”

Werewolves were not just any ordinary race; even a witch might not win in close combat.

They were strong and burly—what if there were an argument, how dangerous would that be!

What was her foolish daughter thinking, having a child with a werewolf?

Aren’t humans much safer?

“Hello, I’m Artem, a werewolf from the grassland tribe, Margreta’s partner,” Artem said, nodding in self-introduction.

When he said the word “partner,” he glanced at Margreta.

“It’s boyfriend!” Margreta corrected.

“Is this how witches operate, eat their fill and then run away?” Artem complained.

The others shook their heads in unison, “Margreta is Margreta, don’t generalize to all witches.”

Mu Ying: “...”

Partner or not, what difference does it make?

In this world, there’s no marriage registration; marriage isn’t legally protected, especially among races like witches and werewolves that simply don’t abide by any laws.

But it seems that Senior Sister Margreta isn’t taking Artem very seriously, while Artem seems to be the more proactive one, at least he seems genuinely fond of her for now.

Su Na’s face darkened even more.

“Ahem, that will be all for today; we won’t disturb you any further.” The other witches quickly fled the scene upon witnessing this.

Once they’d gone, Su Na realized she hadn’t yet been paid for the last batch!

Suddenly her heart ached even more.

But a daughter is still a daughter, no matter how independent a witch she is.

The bond between mother and daughter still existed, and witches are very weak during pregnancy.

Su Na couldn’t help but worry, now that it was revealed her future son-in-law was a werewolf, she insisted, “Stay at my place during your pregnancy!”

Of course, Margreta agreed.

She was simply upset that Su Na had disappeared for so long, claiming to have never had children, only to turn up in Canteryala to be a godmother to others.

Didn’t she like children?

So, Margreta decided to bring her own child to find her, determined to eat her out of house and home.

Mu Ying shook her head; Senior Sister Margreta must be feeling jealous, after all.

This might be good; with Su Na keeping an eye out, she should be able to deliver the baby smoothly.

Nevertheless, she might not be there to see it happen; half a year was nearly up, and she could prepare to continue her travels.
