I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 265 - 265 261 The Same Blue Star265: Chapter 261 The Same Blue Star 265: Chapter 261 The Same Blue Star Mu Ying again asked some detailed questions and had almost confirmed that Li Luoxia’s Trial World was indeed based on the Magic Tower, even going so far as to be named Tower World.

Although she didn’t know how many levels there were, the rules of the Magic Tower were much more restrictive than those of her own world.

Although the Trialists inside could see a floor plan of each level next to the staircase when they entered, just like playing a screen-based game,

even so, this game itself was a puzzle game that required considering many things, such as the order of defeating Monsters, which doors to open first, accidentally wasting a key by opening a door, or coming up short in an earlier battle, which could likely lead to an inability to proceed later on.

Meanwhile, Mu Ying’s first Trial World, Square World, simply required surviving one day to consistently gain Source Power, and the character upgrades and resources obtained could also be converted into Source Power, though actual items of value were rare.

The only physical conversions she made were the Crosshair Skill and an Infinite Arrows Enchantment Book, which were quite expensive.

But Li Luoxia’s Tower World had a far richer assortment of items than Square World, including various equipment, potions, and Skills.

To Mu Ying, her own Square World felt like a Source Power generator, whereas Tower World had a higher conversion value for physical items.

However, gaining Source Power in Tower World seemed a bit more challenging.

According to Li Luoxia, it was one Gold Coin per point of Source Power, which seemed easy since defeating the lowest level Monster awarded one Gold Coin.

Additionally, each time they entered a new floor, there was a Source Power reward, which seemed much easier than the effort of gathering several sets of resources for one point of Source Power like Mu Ying initially had to do.

However, these channels for obtaining Source Power were limited, and Square World had so many resources that one could keep mining indefinitely.

After clearing it, with the Village Chief Seal, it was even possible to reset the world after nearly exhausting its resources.

Moreover, in Tower World, during the adventure, enhancing the Trial character also required Gold Coins, and the character’s strength was crucial for progressing further, requiring careful consideration of trade-offs.

If too many Gold Coins were spent converting into Source Power, it might affect later exploration.

If the character ran out of blood and there were no potions left to pick up, exploring was essentially impossible at that point.

Mu Ying remembered that when she first entered the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial, there was a hint saying, “If the Trial character dies, they cannot re-enter this Trial World.”

When exploration could no longer continue, that Trial World was basically of no use, almost as if it were inaccessible.

If a second Trial World had not yet been unlocked at that time, it would essentially mean the entire trial slot was wasted.

These conjectures all stemmed from her memories of a previous life and the patterns she had observed during her long period of trials.

Previously, she had also suspected some connection between certain elements of the Trial Worlds and Blue Star of her former life.

When she learned that the creator of the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial, Sage Chen Mian, also came from a place called Blue Star, she even thought there might be many stars named Blue Star.

But the deja vu was so strong in Li Luoxia’s first Trial World.

The first time might be a coincidence, the second time is uncertain, but when three corroborating clues emerged, it confirmed her suspicion was indeed a fact, even though this fact seemed incredible.

Sage Chen Mian and the two of them, one a top-tier powerhouse of the near ancient era and the other barely twenty years old, were separated by tens of thousands of years.

Yet, when she recalled her past life, the death felt like it happened yesterday, as if she had merely slept and reborn into another world, which was absolutely fascinating.

These matters involved her past life, and thus she couldn’t fully explain the reasons to Li Luoxia, but Li Luoxia’s current method of fighting any visible monsters in her tower-climbing was certainly not feasible; Mu Ying could only change her approach to offer a hint.

Mu Ying thought for a moment and said, “I’ve now unlocked my second Trial World, which was only unlocked after the first Trial World was fully explored.

The type of the second Trial World and the Trial characters seem to be more in sync with myself if the first Trial World is thoroughly explored.”

But unlocking the second Trial World might not be the only way because when the first Trial World was completed, the second Trial was given to me as a reward, which probably means that clearing it this way is a fairly good method, but it’s not the only way.

From what you describe, combat in the Magic Tower World is very rigid, entirely dependent on blood volume and Attributes, and Monsters on higher floors are stronger.

I suggest you plan the order of fighting Monsters carefully, only defeat the necessary ones first, pick up more items to enhance strength, and then the cost of fighting earlier Monsters will be lower, with the same amount of Gold Coin dropping.”

“Don’t rush to convert Gold Coins into Source Power; you can always do that later.

Keep them for now; you’ll have more options later on and try to break through more floors.”

Li Luoxia frowned, a consideration she had not taken into account, but then it made a lot of sense upon further reflection.

The strength of Monsters on each floor was increasing; the consumption for fighting would be higher if her Trial character’s Attributes could not keep pace with the strengthening Monsters, indeed a possibility that she might not be able to continue higher floors.

Especially since exploring the entire Tower World completely was considered a perfect clearance and came with additional rewards.

Who wouldn’t want a perfect clearance?

Even if she couldn’t achieve a perfect clearance, she needed to secure the qualification to open the second world before the first Trial World became unmanageable; otherwise, if the requirements to open the second Trial World were not met later, there would be regrets.

“I understand, thank you so much for the reminder,” Li Luoxia said gratefully, “Luckily, I haven’t wasted too many Gold Coins.”

Sometimes she really felt that Mu Ying didn’t seem like someone under twenty; sometimes her approach to problems was more comprehensive than hers, a so-called adult over thirty, and she couldn’t help but treat her as a peer or even a senior.

Mu Ying was relieved to see she understood her point.

Trialists were all working for their Mother Stars and their respective Universes, each earning their own wage, and so far there hadn’t really been any situations of multiple Trialists competing in one world; naturally, it was better to share what they knew and improve together.

Mu Ying also gained a lot of information based on the situation of the Trial World provided by Li Luoxia.

For example, the Trial Worlds, especially the first one, were likely not very real and were based on the gaming worlds of Blue Star.

For example, Sage Chen Mian might really come from the Blue Star of her previous life, and possibly from a similar era.

In any event, this exchange was mutually beneficial, with both parties gaining a lot.
