Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Just at that critical moment, something happened that neither the assistant nor the three ladies expected: the out-of-control Mercedes SUV, which had been speeding wildly, suddenly came to a stop. When they saw their vehicle had truly been brought under control and halted safely, they were all dumbfounded.

Miss Lili said in disbelief, ”This is incredible, Brother Zhao Rong! As soon as that mosquito coil let out a puff of green smoke, our runaway car actually stopped. How on earth does that work?”

Zhao Rong explained, ”It’s because the green smoke from this coil made the sixth person in our car lose consciousness. Since they could no longer control the vehicle, the car stopped.”

When Miss Lili heard that the wisp of green smoke from the device had knocked out a sixth person, she frowned and looked all around the car. ”Brother Zhao Rong,” she said, searching, ”if this sixth person was knocked out, why can’t we find them? Did they just fly away?”

Yu Lan had a flash of insight. ”Brother Zhao Rong, I finally get it! You’re brilliant! You had another motive all along. I thought this device was using some kind of advanced tech to stop the car directly. But you were actually employing a feint, getting rid of the invisible sixth person in our car to regain control. I never would have expected that!”

Xuelian was curious about the smoke’s chemical composition. She asked, ”Brother Zhao Rong, if the smoke from this controller could knock out the sixth person, its chemical components must be highly toxic. So why are we okay?”

Zhao Rong sniffed the faint odor in the air. ”Ladies,” he said, ”haven’t you noticed this smells a bit like rotten eggs?”

Hearing this, the assistant immediately reacted. ”Brother Zhao Rong, I know! The gas released when the controller was lit is hydrogen sulfide!”

Zhao Rong nodded. ”And who in this world is most afraid of hydrogen sulfide gas?”

The assistant shook his head, admitting he had no idea. ”Brother Zhao Rong, stop keeping us in suspense. Just tell us what kind of person is most afraid of hydrogen sulfide.”

Just then, Miss Lili opened her phone and searched online. ”It says people who are especially allergic to hydrogen sulfide are the most afraid of it,” she announced. ”Clearly, the invisible sixth person in our car is naturally allergic to it.”

Yu Lan shook her head, disagreeing with Lili’s conclusion. ”Brother Zhao Rong,” she said, ”I don’t think it was just hydrogen sulfide. The smoke must have also contained a highly toxic nerve agent to take down this invisible person.”

Xuelian let her imagination run wild. ”Brother Zhao Rong, I think the gas must have carried some kind of static charge that electrocuted them!”

As they were all making wild guesses, Zhao Rong revealed the answer. He pointed to a spot on the floor of the back row. ”Let me tell you something,” he said. ”In this world, besides the yellow, black, white, and brown races, there is another special type of human: the Invisible People. And the thing Invisible People fear most is hydrogen sulfide gas.”

Hearing the words ”Invisible People,” the assistant had a sudden epiphany. He looked down at the floor beneath the back seats and exclaimed, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I get it now! The sixth person hiding in our car is an Invisible Person! They took control of our car, causing the accelerator and brakes to fail, which is why we were speeding down the highway! But just now, you used hydrogen sulfide gas to take them down, and that’s how we regained control of the car!”

Miss Lili stared at the empty space at her feet, finding it hard to believe an invisible person was actually lying there. She reached out to touch the spot but felt nothing. ”Brother Zhao Rong,” she said, ”we’ve subdued this Invisible Person... but is there any way to make them visible so we can actually see them with our own eyes?”

Zhao Rong took a bottle of Ostrich Brand Blue Ink from his pocket. ”Miss Lili,” he said, ”pour this bottle of ink on them. Then you’ll be able to see what they look like.”

Miss Lili took the bottle of blue ink. While unscrewing the cap and pouring it onto the floor, she said doubtfully, ”Brother Zhao Rong, can a simple bottle of ink really make an Invisible Person appear?”

But before she could even finish her sentence, the person on the floor was revealed. There on the ground lay an extremely short and thin man, no taller than 1.5 meters, with a very ugly face.

When Miss Lili saw the ugly man, she felt a wave of nausea and retched twice. She opened the window, ready to toss him out of the car. ”Brother Zhao Rong, I never imagined an Invisible Person could be so hideous! I can’t even bear to look at him!”

Yu Lan observed the man with fascination. ”I can’t believe Invisible People really exist,” she said, amazed. ”Seeing truly is believing.”

Xuelian, however, was struck with a new fear. ”Brother Zhao Rong, if what you say is true and Invisible People exist, doesn’t that mean we girls have no privacy when we go to the bathhouse or the restroom?”

Hearing her worry, Zhao Rong reassured her. ”Don’t be afraid, Lady Xuelian. Although Invisible People exist, they are extremely rare. Besides, they have absolutely no interest in human women, so you have nothing to worry about.”

Hearing this, Xuelian asked curiously, ”Brother Zhao Rong, there’s a saying, ’rarity makes a thing precious.’ Since Invisible People are so rare, and we’ve caught one today, couldn’t we get a lot of money if we handed him over to a scientific research institution?”
