Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Just as the old witch charged at Zhao Rong again with her sickle, he leaped into the air. With a swift flying kick, he shot toward her and yelled, ”Old witch, you’ve refused the easy way, so now you’ll get the hard way! At first, I held back out of respect for your age, but now you can’t blame me for getting rough.”

Zhao Rong’s kick sent the old witch sprawling. But she just got back to her feet, pointed the sickle at him, and cackled, ”I forgot to tell you. I may be old, and I may not look like much, but I have an Immortal Body. Don’t even think you can kill me!”

Hearing the witch’s claim to have an Immortal Body, the assistant and the three women were stunned.

”An Immortal Body? What does that mean?” one of them asked. ”Does it mean she can’t be killed by blades or bullets?”

Unconvinced, the assistant pulled a fruit knife from his pocket, charged forward, and plunged it into the old witch’s stomach. To his astonishment, the knife felt like it was sinking into a sponge. It had no effect whatsoever and didn’t even break her skin. Seeing his attack was useless, the assistant stumbled back in fright, dropping the knife. ”No way...” he stammered in disbelief. ”This old witch really is immortal! She’s completely impervious to blades!”

Lili refused to accept this. She pulled out a rifle, stepped forward, aimed it at the old witch’s head, and fired. ”I don’t believe this crap,” she declared. ”I can almost understand a knife not working, since you’re a witch. But there’s no way my rifle can’t blow your head off!”

Lili fully expected the shot to blow the witch’s head to pieces. To her utter shock, however, the bullet had no effect at all. She fired five more times in quick succession, but not one of the shots even fazed the old witch.

Lili gasped, her face a mask of horror. She took a step back and let the rifle clatter to the ground. ”My God, this is insane! She’s really bulletproof...”

Seeing that blades and bullets were useless, Yu Lan took a grenade from her pocket. She rushed forward, stuffed it into the witch’s pocket, and said with a grin, ”Old witch, the assistant’s knife couldn’t hurt you and Lili’s rifle couldn’t pierce you, but my grenade isn’t so weak! I’m sure it can blast you to smithereens!”

The old witch just laughed wildly, flashing a mouthful of black teeth. ”Forget a grenade,” she sneered, ”even a nuclear bomb couldn’t kill me.”

The instant she finished speaking, the grenade in her pocket detonated. Yet, after the smoke cleared, the old witch stood there completely unharmed, as if nothing had happened.

Yu Lan stared in astonishment when she saw the grenade hadn’t even scratched the witch. ”No way... even a grenade can’t stop her? What kind of weapon are we supposed to use?”

Xue Lianmei pushed through the others, rushing forward with two cans of pepper spray. ”I tried spraying this in her eyes earlier,” she said. ”It seemed to have some effect! Since the pepper spray works on her, I’ll use it to finish her off. Then we can destroy this space, find the mastermind Hong Ju, complete our mission, and return home in glory!”

With that, Xue Lianmei began frantically spraying the contents of both cans directly into the old witch’s face. This time, however, the witch seemed to be completely immune. No matter how much concentrated pepper spray Xue Lianmei blasted at her, it had no effect.

The old witch even began to pat the liquid onto her cheeks as if it were a facial treatment. ”My, this pepper spray feels even better than a collagen mask,” she said gleefully. ”It’s so refreshing! I think it’s actually good for my skin!”

When Xue Lianmei saw that even her pepper spray couldn’t harm the witch, she finally ran out of ideas. Frightened, she stammered, ”Oh my God, what do we do now? This old witch is truly impervious to blades and guns...”

Seeing that the assistant and the three women were powerless against her, the old witch laughed with arrogance. ”Well now, you little humans. Out of tricks, are we? I told you I was impervious, but you wouldn’t believe me. You had to test it for yourselves. Now that you’ve thrown an egg at a stone and run headfirst into a brick wall, you finally understand how powerful I am, don’t you? It’s my turn. Since you’ve trespassed on forbidden ground, your sentence is death!”

With that, the old witch raised her sickle and lunged toward the assistant and the three women.

Just then, Zhao Rong stepped forward and burst into laughter. ”Don’t celebrate too early, old witch. He who laughs last, laughs best. They might not have a way to deal with you, but I, Zhao Rong, certainly do!”

The old witch stopped in her tracks. She turned with her sickle, glaring at the young man who dared to challenge her. With boundless arrogance, she scoffed, ”Human boy, stop bluffing. Those three women and that man couldn’t do a thing to me. What makes you think you can?”

Zhao Rong just laughed again. He pointed a finger right at the witch’s nose and said, ”Old witch, how about you stand right there and don’t move? Let me test this so-called ’Indestructible Body’ of yours.”

At Zhao Rong’s challenge, the old witch confidently settled into a horse stance. ”Boy, not only do I have an Indestructible Body, I have an Immortal Body. Bring on whatever treasures you have! Blades, spears, clubs, rockets, nuclear bombs, hydrogen bombs, chemical weapons... none of it will have any effect on me!”

As she spoke, the old witch cackled madly, showing off her large, black teeth.

When the three women and the assistant saw that Zhao Rong was about to face the witch, they grew incredibly worried for him. They muttered among themselves.

This witch is so powerful. What kind of weapon could Zhao Rong possibly have to fight her? Even if he has something, will it be enough to win?
